Seoul Kangnam-Ku The Ministry of Next-generation Technology corporation aid department director’s office.
Director Sung Dae-Hyun finished the meeting with the executives from the Korean electricity power corporation and returned to his office, where he had a covert conversation with two men.
“The conference took longer than expected. Sorry to have kept you waiting.”
“It’s nothing. So how did the executives from the Korean electricity power corporation react?”
Manager Ahn seemed to be more interested in how the executives from today’s meeting reacted than exchanging greetings. He went back to the main topic of the conversation.
“As expected, they were all furious and dissatisfied. I hate how they were more concerned about foreign investors.”
“Great work. We plan to gather information about the true shareholders of that 33% of the Korean electricity power corporation’s stocks that foreign investors hold. Until then, we request you hold more meetings and shake them up. If you find any good intel, then please contact Chief Kang here.”
A burly man giving with a powerful aura about him bowed his head when he was introduced, then handed Director Sung Dae-hyun a business card. Director Sung Dae-hyun also handed his business card so they could exchange them with each other.
“Are you Chief Kang Chul-joong from Secret Bureau of Corruption Investigation Department 2 team 1?”
“Yes, Director Sung. Pleased to meet you.”
“He is one of the most capable agents in our department.”
“Hahaha! Now that I think about it, I have seen you on the TV a couple of times. It’s an honor to meet you in person, Chief Kang.”
“Hahaha, the pleasure’s all mine, sir.”
“Thanks to the Secret Bureau of Corruption Investigation’s achievements, my wife tells me she is pleased and life is getting interesting again. She never knew of the many people fooling around with the taxes from the Korean people, yet she entertains herself from watching the news every day on the TV. Hahaha.”
“Hahaha, you’re flattering me. All I have done is stay devoted to my work as a government official.”
Despite his burly build, Chief Kang started blushing and smiled awkwardly in what appeared to be a sense of pride. The meeting came to a close after an hour.

Choongbook Chungju-si 17th Fighter Wing X-21 lab (Rocket engine development lab)
Currently, the 17th Fighter Wing underground research facility right was at the stage where a new technology would spawn another new technology. Since it formed a positive feedback loop, it allowed Korea’s scientific technology level to rise at the speed of light.
Among the X-21 lab, 20 additional researchers also joined the project from the Korea Aerospace Research Institute since last December, thus forming a TF team with the original research staff. The 40 researchers collaborated to expedite developing a next-generation plasma super rocket engine based on the plasma superprotonic generator and created a blueprint for the engine within a month. All of this was possible thanks to Namgoong-won gathering the information related to plasma technology obtained from Hocula.
“Everyone, you all have worked hard this month. Before we start our meeting and the briefing about the plasma rocket engine, I will do a quick explanation about this project.”
Dr.Kim Gwang-lae, a cosmologist and the head researcher of the X-21 lab, put the microphone near his lips and spoke.
“The plasma rocket engine is a super level one that will be a cornerstone of the first steps for Korea’s space era, has an engine output of 500t that can launch three 100t satellites at the same time, and is expected to test launch in 6 months. When the final checks on the blueprints from the X-2 lab are finished, we will begin manufacturing immediately. Therefore, all the researchers here should work hard. That being said, let’s make a fantastic piece of work together.”
When head researcher Kim Gwang-lae finished his short explanation of the project and returned to his seat, Chief Oh Dong-gi received the microphone and started the meeting.
“Now, let’s start the first docket fo the meeting and have the rocket navigation operation team begin the briefing.”

Chungbook Chungju-si 17th Fighter Wing underground research facility X-5 lab (nanotechnology lab)
The X-5 lab was researching the suit that the Splithians were wearing obtained from the alien spacecraft’s first floor. On the surface, the suit seemed to be made of similar material from that of the clothes humans wear. After 2 months of research, the suit turned out to be made of a nano hyper minute manufacturing technology protection suit that had the same bulletproof capability of a 10mm steel plate. With head researcher Yeon Ho-jun in the center and aid from the X-6 lab that was responsible for metallurgy, research was being conducted day and night to obtain the hyper minute manufacturing technology. The analysis of the components of the material was finished, but there were a few metallic elements that weren’t found on earth. The research was finding a replacement and a combination of elements that could do so. With Hocula’s key data for the hyper minute manufacturing technology analyzed, the project began to draw plans for a manufacturing facility.
This technology became one of the valuable new technology in Korea. It became a key piece of work that would not only supply the Korean soldiers with protective suits but also save lives in the upcoming East Asian war.

Choongbook Chunju-si 17th Fighter Wing underground research facility X-6 Lab (Metallurgy lab).
The X-5 lab’s main responsibility was researching the metals the spacecraft consisted of. The metal material that the alien spacecraft consisted of was 7 times stronger than the earth’s titanium alloy. It also boasted the highest strength to density ratio of 60~160kgf/mm2 and showed a strength of 420~1200kgf/mm2. The X-6 lab’s researchers set a goal to develop an alloy that was 3 times stronger than the standard titanium alloy. Half the density and development progressed to 50%.
The new material was dubbed ‘Hydranium alloy’. If the development of the new metal alloy Hydranium was successful, then it could soon be applied to armored vehicles, ships, submarines and other military equipment that required a powerful protective power. It also could be used in other manufacturing facilities to create a large profit.
The issue was the requirement of various elemental materials to mass-produce the Hydranium alloy. Luckily, most of them were useless underground resources that were buried underneath the African continent. Through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Trade and Industry, the government was able to form export treaties with Ethiopia, Uganda, South Sudan, and other nations that it had aided to import the materials needed cheaply.

Choongbook Chungju-si 17th Fighter Wing underground research facility X-3 Lab (Information communication lab).
The X-3 lab was currently developing a program Turkion-X wireless communication system that would not only be faster than the speed of light but also surpass the protocol program that Namgoong-won had developed to synchronize with Hocula. This Turkion-X program has several major strengths. First, it would not be affected by the EMP that was the largest fear of modern war. This advantage would allow maintaining the military communication system from being hindered in the event of war; this was a major determining factor of who would win and who would lose. Second, the Turkion-X wireless communication system was a unique Korean communication network that was impossible to hack or wiretap. Third, it had outstanding transmission capabilities underwater also. Fourth, it was three times faster than the speed of light.
The next-generation communication system that was not restricted by EMP, security, speed, and location would soon show its true worth.

Choongbook Chunju-si 17th Fighter Wing underground research facility X-4 lab (Radar systems lab)
The X-4 lab was developing a quantum multi-area radar system based on the ones from the Splithians. The current radar system being used in all existing nations had a low reflection rate for stealth fighter jets or ships that could not be detected by radio jamming. The quantum multi-area radar system would overcome these weaknesses.
The quantum multi-area radar’s quantum waves scanned the exact external shape of the desired object, then save the data in real-time. If a radar system was successfully developed, the researchers would claim that everything is detectible. This included the numerous stealth fighter jets and ships that were developed and placed in the field like mushrooms popping up after a rainstorm.
Soon, the quantum multi-area radar would be applied to the Korean Aegis system and used in all military equipment that required a radar, such as fighter jets and various types of anti-aircraft weaponry.
The reason 800 researchers from the 17th Fighter Wing underground research facility had spent an entire year giving up their leaves, working day and night was probably one thing. It was their desire to restore Korea that could not get a word in being surrounded by other stronger nations coupled with their self-esteem, determination, and patriotism.

Choongbook Chunju-si 17th Fighter Wing X-12 Lab (Biology, Genetics lab)
In the center of attention from the world for owning the main technology for the new medicine, the X-12 lab was preparing what they called the Neoanthropinae project, which would alter the primal genetic properties of mankind to strengthen the immune system and physical capabilities. It was still in its beginning stages, but should this research succeed, then human beings could be born with powerful antibodies against most viruses and diseases.
Through genetic manipulation, it was also expected that muscular strength would double, while brain utilization would double or triple from before where all of humanity would become geniuses rivaling Einstein.
As stated before, it was still in the beginning stages, so there was no guarantee when the project would be a success. If the research did succeed, then it was expected to be historic within human history. With Dr.Ahn Young-gil leading them, the researchers in the X-12 lab worked day and night.

Choongbook Chungju-si 17th Fighter Wing underground research facility X-2 Hocula lab (Namgoong-won lab)
Namgoong-won had been so busy that 24 hours was not enough time to organize the information from Hocula that each lab required. He must have remembered the work he wanted to do after graduating from college, so he spent his spare time secretly making something. The project he was working on was named EVGS (EEG Virtual Game System), which would directly connect human brainwaves to a virtual space for videogames. Virtual Reality games were currently trending, but Namgoong-won wanted to develop a system that would emulate an environment where the player would feel immersed in it. He was continuing his development with Hocula’s aid, and the project was soon 30% complete.
“When the game gets developed, I will test it first. Then, Assistant Manager Lee and I will play it together.”
He did not know when it would be finished, but Namgoong-won continued working, motivated by the thought of playing the game with Assistant Manager Lee Hye-jin.
