“The hell is she doing!” Agamemas frowned as he was thrown into the sky by the morphed undead Azamud’s attack. While his defenses stopped any damage, he was still sent past the clouds in less than a second. Causing multiple shockwaves that dispersed the clouds, revealing the stars hidden behind.
‘Did Kilen really sacrifice her husband?’ Azamud asked Amnur who grunted in reply as he summoned a barrier to stop her attack from reaching Eldrian and Ceph. The rest of the city, it unfortunately was not in the right direction and Amnur couldn’t manage more in time.
Amnur could do nothing about the demonified monsters who were rushing around the barrier. Even the demons had been demonified further, turning into unstable grotesque forms pushed to their limits. None would survive past today, and for today they would be capable of fighting someone multiple Tiers above them.
While Agamemas was still in the air, more shockwaves that flattened the entire surroundings appeared as the undead Azamud’s attacks clashed against Amnur’s shield, which had started cracking. Of course, countless of the grotesque monsters were annihilated too.
“Dragos’s flames, cleanse the enemy!” A shout filled the air, followed by divine flames turning the demonified undead monstrosities into ash. The source of the fire collapsed upon finishing the cast, exhausted.
“Dioktis, today I will prove myself worthy!” Another shout filled the air, followed by a naked dwarven figure jumping into the midst of the monstrosities. Disappearing.
Suddenly, the undead were all sent flying into the air, revealing the dwarven figure again.
“To battle! Charge!” Yet another shout filled the air, followed by many more personalized battle cries as the dwarves charged into combat. They all made sure to stay behind Amnur and his barrier, only killing the monstrosities that dared circle the barrier.
Amongst these, there was a second dwarf of flames. His fire was nowhere near as strong as Amnur’s, yet any enemy that dared approach him would be turned into ash in seconds.
Most of the dwarves here were not of the abyssal guard. No, they were the personal retinue of the lord of Ganalin.

Eldrian finally recovered, lifting his head his mind failed to make sense of the scene before him. Less than a hundred dwarves rushing into the thousands upon thousands of monstrosities from hell. And, the waves of monstrosities were being pushed back.
When Eldrian tried to stand up to join the fight, Zamia pulled him back down and shook her head.
“I’m afraid you can no longer continue on the path you’ve started.”
Eldrian did not argue, who would dare? He had caused the destruction of the entire city of Diades, had caused the death of hundreds of thousands of people. He had even come close to destroying Earth.
No, he understood well that he couldn’t continue on the path he was.
It didn’t matter if his aims had been good. He fucked up, he was to blame. There was no excuse.
“Go, please… Try to lessen the casualties.” Eldrian felt wrong even asking, but he had to. It was the least he could do.
Nodding, she finally stood up. Gave her son one last glance, his wounds hadn’t healed. Even she wasn’t able to heal the soul, from which these wounds were manifesting.
However, she had stopped the corruption and healed his physical wounds. Ceph would be alright, it would however take a long time to heal.
Eldrian hadn’t even realized, but his condition was far worse. Yet, all he could think of was the destruction he had caused.
Slowly, he fought his way to his feet. His balance unstable, his head assaulting him every step of the way. Yet he kept walking towards the back of the dwarven line with Ceph slung over his shoulder.
One of the healers rushed towards him, Eldrian’s skin charred black the healer tried to heal him. Eldrian however slapped away the dwarf’s hand and pointed at Ceph.
Placing Ceph on the cleanest area he could find. Eldrian knelt next to his friend, his mind in shambles.
‘I want to stop Miracle from destroying Earth? What a joke! I can’t even stop myself.’

As the next spell started forming, covering the night sky, Zamia paused behind Amnur. His shield shaking from the continuous attacks of the demonified Azamud. Who at this point stood a total of six meters tall, continuously morphing in limbs taking the form of weapons, that would be destroyed instantly as they connect with the shield.
The shockwaves no longer had anything to flatten. At this point, the very land they were standing on was being shredded to pieces.
“Can you stop her?” Amnur asked while bearing the weight of the non-stop attacks while spreading the barrier to keep all those behind them safe.
“She’s using some really powerful magics. I sadly can’t.” Zamia said, however, lifting her hand she pointed at Azamud’s head. The creature paused and jumped back as Kilen’s attack converged onto Amnur.
Instead of contacting with the shield, it instead connected with a ray of burning white light that filled the ruined city with the light of day.
The ray was quickly defeated, yet one couldn’t say it had lost to the dark lighting. The spell rained down upon the demonified army Kilen had brought, turning thousands into less than ash.
“However, she has little control since the power is not her own. The true problem is that if she continues then the area won’t be able to survive much longer.”
“What about Azamud, will you and Agamemas be able to stall him?”
“Stall- Possibly; however, his form is unstable and if we are to push him the energy might explode.”
“I see, then we wait for them to run out of steam?” Amnur asked, beads of sweating running down his back.
He might be one of the strongest legendary figures, however, that was mostly due to his personal arsenal of weapons. And while it allowed him to stand against the two, he might not last as long as them.
“What of the kid?” Amnur asked as he braced, Azamud attacking with a morphed limb in the shape of a massive hammer the size of a house. The shockwave completely destroyed the surrounding flattened ground, sending rocks the size of houses flying through the air.
The barrier Amnur had set up shook from the mass of collisions, sapping a substantial amount of his mana.
“He seems to have regained control. However, he is still unstable. We were careless, his temptation toward the chaos is too great. Two auras, it’s too much.”
“It’s not just the auras, there is something else in him too,” Amnur grumbled as Zamia again summoned a ray to disperse Kilen’s spell.
“What do you think it is?”
Kilen glared at the two as she lost control of her spell, again. Anger swelled at the fact that not only was her son’s killer still alive, but those protecting him even had time to talk!
At this time, Agamemas had finally finished his preparations. Teleporting to the survivors who were all cowering outside the inner wall. Everything inside having been flattened or completely destroyed by now.
They dared not run further, knowing that the orcs were waiting for them on that side. Seeing this elf, whose white clothing appeared a sinister red thanks to the red light of the night, they immediately tried to launch attacks at him.
Agamemas simply looked at the spells and they turned back to the elementary elements they were composed of and dispersed. Waving his hand, a truly massive magic circle suddenly appeared under the entire group.
The next second they found themselves in the middle of a vast plain, a few villages and their cultivated fields visible but not much else.
When they turned to find their savior, he had already returned to the battle.
