While everyone was still taken aback, cold air flowed around Lu Qing’er, making her eyes seem even more frosty than before. She then formed a seal with one hand.
“Ultimate Frost Seal!” she said in a clear voice.
Bang!
A moment later, an extremely cold current flowed through the skies, resembling a white bolt. Things showed signs of freezing wherever it passed through, including worldly natural energy. Frost covered the nearby buildings.
Many Dukes turned pale. They didn’t know why, but Lu Qing’er’s ice resonant power seemed exceptionally tyrannical. This freezing current was directed towards the Sacredspring Sage College’s mentors, including the fifth-grade Duke.
When they saw this, they hurriedly attempted to defend themselves. Their Duke Bergfrieds roared and resonant power surged out to counterattack.
Bang!
In the moment of collision, horror filled their eyes because they could sense that the ice resonant power had directly frozen their resonant power!
In fact, it was freezing it at a frightening speed. In just a few short breaths, even their Duke Bergfrieds were frozen as they had been caught off guard.
Furthermore, the ice contained a unique sealing power. They could sense that their connections with their Duke Bergfrieds had weakened. Only the fifth-grade Duke was able to forcefully block the ice resonant power thanks to his superior resonant power reserves. However, the overbearing ice still caused fear to appear in his eyes.
The clash between the two sides was almost instantaneous.
Meanwhile, the other squads from the East Divine Continent continued to watch on in complete shock. They had realized that just Li Luo, Lu Qing’er, and Li Hongyou were able to hold down Wang Xu’s entire squad from the Sacredspring Sage College. Although both sides had yet to demonstrate their Duke Arts, the trio had already revealed immense battle strength, which was worthy of admiration. As the cold wind covered the area, everyone fell silent and only the sounds of energy clashing could be heard.
At this point, a voice was transmitted over from far away. Six more Duke Bergfrieds appeared, with two being nine-pillars and four being eight-pillars. Astonishing resonant power swept over, erasing the aftermath of the previous collision.
“Everyone, let’s stop here. We wouldn’t want outsiders to think that the East Divine Continent is not united.”
A man dressed in white robes with a head of white hair appeared. However, his face was delicate and smooth, like a baby’s. Powerful resonant power undulations emanated from his body.
When the other squads saw him, they clasped their hands in greetings. “Vice Principal Guo Jiufeng.”
The newcomer was the Enlightened Sage College’s vice principal, Guo Jiufeng.
He was the one known as the strongest vice principal amongst the East Divine Continent’s sage colleges. With his arrival, Li Luo and Wang Xu pulled back their resonant power and their Duke Bergfrieds turned into streams of light before vanishing back into their bodies.
“Greetings, Vice Principal Guo Jiufeng,” Li Luo said with a grin.
Guo Jiufeng looked at Li Luo with eyes full of surprise, as he had a deep impression of him. During the most recent Holy Grail Meet, Li Luo and Jiang Qing’e had seized the Dragon Bone Holy Grail from the Enlightened Sage College’s hands after all. “My little friend Li Luo, your talent is truly shocking. In just a few short years, you’ve already reached the Duke Stage and embarked on the Path of Ascension too. This is worthy of admiration.” Guo Jiufeng sighed. That young student in the One Star Hall had now matured and reached a stage where he couldn’t look down upon him anymore.
Li Luo smiled. “It’s nothing worth mentioning. In the eyes of some people, I am actually lacking.”
Clearly, these words were directed towards Wang Xu.
Wang Xu understood this, and his expression turned ugly. However, he also felt shocked. During the previous short clash, he could sense a grave threat from Li Luo.
His gaze then looked at Li Hongyou. This young lady had greatly boosted Li Luo, causing his resonant power to become even stronger than before.
After which, he glanced at Lu Qing’er. She had a Ten-Pillar Golden Duke Bergfried as well, and the ice resonant power she controlled was extraordinarily domineering and even a little strange.
“The Astral Sage College actually produced two individuals with Ten-Pillar Golden Duke Bergfrieds? When did those things become common? It’s as though I’ve actually met a ghost!” Wang Xu screamed in his heart. He had originally thought that the Astral Sage College was in decline and would not be qualified to maintain their main seat. However, who would have expected that these three young ones would be so difficult to handle? “That said, the previous clash didn’t mean much. I’ve still got a lot of tricks up my sleeve, so if we were to come to blows, it would be hard to say who would end up winning!” Wang Xu consoled himself with these thoughts. That said, he also knew that with Li Luo revealing his strength, the Sacredspring Sage College could no longer covet the Astral Sage College’s main seat.
He would have to snatch someone else’s instead.
Guo Jiufeng also spoke up. “With Mentor Li Luo leading the squad from the Astral Sage College, the East Divine Continent should be able to obtain a decent result. Unless the other sage colleges have any opinions, then one of the five main seats will belong to the Astral Sage College.” ℞ãΟᛒƐŞ
The other squads glanced at each other before nodding in agreement. The strength Li Luo had shown proved that he was qualified to hold that seat.
Guo Jiufeng then looked at Wang Xu and said warmly, “Vice Principal Wang Xu, with the strength the Sacredspring Sage College has demonstrated, you are definitely powerful enough to be assigned a main seat. I’ll discuss with the other colleges, and we will try to give you a main seat. What do you think?”
Guo Jiufeng was quite renowned amongst the East Divine Continent’s sage colleges and had quite some sway. Thus, even Wang Xu had to give him some face, and he readily agreed when he heard those friendly words.
“I’d be very grateful for that, Vice Principal Guo Jiufeng. The only reason why the Sacredspring Sage College has offended someone is because we want to do our best for the East Divine Continent. Only then can we obtain more Heavenly Domains and get even greater amounts of Celestial Mirror Sand,” Wang Xu warmly replied.
“Mentor Li Luo, the Sacredspring Sage College was reckless earlier, and we would like to apologize for any offense taken.”
Since there was no longer any conflict of interest between the two parties, Wang Xu naturally did not want to antagonize Li Luo. After all, he was a second-grade Transcendent with terrifying potential. He had a slight edge over him today thanks to his cultivation level, but if Li Luo were to take one more step and become a third-grade Transcendent, this advantage would be gone.
Li Luo calmly nodded. He wasn’t angry over the previous matter either. It wasn’t surprising that the Sacredspring Sage College coveted their position, as the Astral Sage College was in decline and its strength had greatly weakened. If he, Lu Qing’er, and Li Hongyou had not joined their squad, just the three mentors alone would not have been sufficient to hold onto a main seat. If the Sacredspring Sage College had not taken the lead to challenge them, others surely would have.
Thus, if they had not demonstrated their strength here, they would be hassled to no end.
Li Luo also didn’t want to give this opportunity up. The idea of a perfect breakthrough was on the line, and if he wanted to even have a chance at obtaining it, he needed that main seat. The final result of that clash wasn’t bad. Not only was he able to show off his intimidating prowess, but Lu Qing’er’s strength had also been a pleasant surprise.
Her ice resonant power seemed capable of freezing anything and was indeed quite overbearing. Fourth-grade Dukes and below were unable to resist it and fifth-grade Dukes could barely withstand it. It seemed that Lu Qing’er was comparable to him in terms of the number of stages she could overcome. This was good news as that meant that they were even stronger than he had expected.
Meanwhile, Guo Jiufeng quickly started to coordinate things as he determined who would give up their main seat for the Sacredspring Sage College. Thus, the five main seat holders were as followed:
Enlightened Sage College
Astral Sage College
Sacred Summit Sage College
Heavenly Inferno Sage College
Sacredspring Sage College
The squads from these sage colleges were the strongest in the group and thus, no one challenged them.
Guo Jiufeng then beamed happily. “During the previous Domain Traversal Battles, the East Divine Continent only managed to seize a single Heavenly Domain. I hope we will be able to surpass that.”
“Only one Heavenly Domain? Doesn’t this mean that some sage colleges might not even receive a single grain of Celestial Mirror Sand?” Li Luo couldn’t help but blurt out.
Then why were there so many mentors dispatched by the sage colleges?
Vice Principal Chen Chi laughed. “Mentor Li Luo, you might not know this, but the Celestial Mirror Sand contains a prodigious amount of energy. If the Celestial Mirror Sand is diluted with Celestial Mirror Spiritual Liquid, then the energy released can benefit more than one individual.”
At the end, he even seemed to be reminiscing about how wonderful that experience was. It was clear that he had a taste of it in the past.
Alas, Li Luo’s expression was full of confusion. Diluting the Celestial Mirror Sand? He was looking to obtain a perfect breakthrough, whilst the rest were happy with sharing a drink made out of a Heavenly Emperor’s bone ash?? Wasn’t that just too pathetic!?
