Chapter 20
“Of course,” Feng Yi said. “It’s my responsibility to protect you. You’re my wife now. I won’t watch you get bullied.”
Yu Fei’s heart trembled when she heard her call her ‘wife’ so naturally. She felt strange.
“Young Master.” When he arrived at the door of the ward, the bodyguards greeted him respectfully. When they saw Yu Fei beside him, they hesitated, not knowing how to address her.
“This is Young Madam,” Feng Yi said.
The bodyguards were stunned and looked surprised, but they quickly recovered and greeted respectfully, “Young Madam.”
Yu Fei smiled at them, but her expression was stiff. She was still not used to being called ‘Young Madam’. Every time she heard someone call her that, she would feel awkward.
Feng Yi held her as they entered the ward.
Yu Fei took a deep breath. In her nervous state, her body unconsciously moved closer to Feng Yi, as if she could find a sense of security from him.
Feng Yi felt it too. He lowered his head to take a look, then tightened his arms around her waist.
The VIP Ward was exquisitely decorated, and it was clean and tidy. There were many decorations in the room, which did not look like a Ward at all. In the air, one could smell the faint scent of lilies.
As soon as she entered the door, Yu Fei was met with a sharp gaze. As soon as she looked up, she saw the old man on the bed by the window.
The old man was around 60 years old, much younger than Yu Fei had imagined. The old man was full of energy. Even though he was already in his sixties, his temperament was still outstanding. It could be seen that the old man must have been very handsome when he was young. It was just that his eyes were too sharp, giving people an invisible sense of oppression, not very friendly.
Feng Yi carried her to the bed. “Grandpa.”
Old Master Feng’s eyes were fixed on Yu Fei.
“She’s your granddaughter-in-law.” Feng Yi’s lips curled up as he lowered his head and said gently to her, “Little Fei, aren’t you going to greet your grandfather?”
His gentle tone gave Yu Fei goosebumps. She looked at Old Master Feng, and Old Master Feng looked back at her. They looked at each other silently, sizing each other up.
“Grandpa,” Yu Fei greeted him obediently.
Old Master Feng frowned. “Tell me again. Who is she?”
Feng Yi held Yu Fei and walked to the sofa. He raised his head and looked at Old Master Feng, his tone lazy. “Little Fei and I have already registered our marriage yesterday. She is your proper granddaughter-in-law.”
Old Master Feng’s frown deepened. “You brat, you actually dared to find a random woman to brush me off!”
How could this little girl be compared to Anna? Whether it was her appearance or temperament, she was far inferior to Anna. He looked a little timid and was obviously from a small family.
“Grandpa, if you don’t believe me, you can go and check. I can’t hide this from you.”
“Of course I’ll investigate. If I find out that you’re lying, you’ll see how I’ll deal with you!” Right after, Old Master Feng really called to check. The call went through, and after asking a few questions, he hung up. The old man’s expression was not very good.
“What’s wrong? Aren’t you happy for me, Grandpa? Haven’t you been looking forward to me getting married?” Feng Yi said with a smile as he watched Old Master Feng’s face change rapidly.
“You little brat, you didn’t even tell me about something as important as marriage!” Old Master Feng was very conflicted. The biggest stone in his heart had finally been lifted. It should have been something to be happy about, but…
He raised his head and looked at Yu Fei with dissatisfaction in his eyes. His grandson was a dragon among men. How could he marry a woman so casually?
“You’ve seen your granddaughter-in-law, so we won’t disturb you any longer. We’ll come and visit you another day when we have time. Little Fei, let’s go,” Feng Yi said as he pulled Yu Fei up. He put his hand on her shoulder and was about to walk out.
He’s leaving so quickly? Wasn’t this visit a little too fast? It’s only been a few minutes, and we’ve only spoken a few words, right?
Yu Fei was dumbfounded. She walked to the door and remembered that she should say goodbye to the old man. She turned to look at old master Feng and even shook her head. “Goodbye, Grandpa. Take care of yourself. Hubby and I will come to see you another day.”
When she said “hubby,” Feng Yi stopped in his tracks, his eyes flashing.
He did not know how angry Old Master Feng was, but he was used to it. He did not say another word until they left the ward.
…
“What did you just call me?”
“Huh?” Yu Fei asked.
“When you say goodbye to Grandpa.” After entering the elevator, Feng Yi retracted his hand from her body and took a step to the side, putting some distance between them.
Yu Fei was stunned. When she realized what he meant, her face turned red.
“Cough cough…” She covered her mouth and coughed twice. “That’s just a special situation! Don’t worry, I don’t usually call you that.”
