Zhao Luo looked at the disciple with squinted eyes.
“Haha, good. Fellow brother, you are very impressive.”
Zhao Luo didn’t mind how the disciple was acting boldly in front of him.
‘He handled the situation way better than me.’
Zhao Luo thought.
Zhao Luo had to admit that without the help of this guy, he would still be asking the 900th something disciple if they were willing to give Zhao Luo their turn.
“Brother Zhao Luo still how can I compare to you?”
That disciple modestly said to Zhao Luo.
Even though he had sneakily tagged along with Zhao Luo to reach the front of the line, the things he said to the other disciples, there was nothing in the words he had said that he didn’t believe in.
Zhao Luo smiled while looking at this disciple.
“What is your name?”
Zhao Luo asked the name of this helper who was smart as well as well behaved.
“I am Mo Lee. Think of me as your number one fan.”
The disciple introduced himself as Mo Lee.
‘My number one fan? Hah.’
Zhao Luo thought as the family name of this disciple sounded familiar but he didn’t dwell on it any longer.
“Since you already know me. Let’s be friends from now on.”
Zhao Luo said with a smile as he extended his hand, inviting a handshake from Mo Lee.
Mo Lee was shocked as to how can a person be so popular and yet so kind at the same time.
“Indeed. My sister always said that I am a very lucky person. Guess she was right.”
Mo Lee randomly mentioned her sister as he shook Zhao Luo’s hand.
Zhao Luo and Mo Lee were having their moment just when the surrounding disciples started making noises.
“Woah~”
“He reached 20th stage.”
One trainee said as he pointed at one of the disciples on the ring who had just cleared the 19th stage.
This disciple was third according to the stages everyone had reached.
“Look at Fu Zi, he is already at 35th stage.”
Another disciple added while calling the name of a certain disciple who was on the ring.
Fu Zi who had started alongside the others had even exceeded the previous disciple who was on the 20th stage. Thus Fu Zi was 2nd among the 15 disciples on the ring.
“They still can’t compare with Ruo Qing’s speed, she has already reached the 39th stage.”
A girl who was standing at the 8th pillar with her hand on the moonstone had a drop of sweat going down her face towards her neck.
All the disciples were around the ring were focused on her.
She was the first among the other disciples on the stage. There was also her aura which was very different than other disciples.
Her shiny black hair that was dwindling around her back and her slim body with appropriate curves at the expected places were quite eye-catching.
“Brother Zhao Luo, what do you think about the curves?”
Mo Lee teasingly asked Zhao Luo as he noticed that Zhao Luo was staring at her quite intensely.
“Yes, they look beautiful.”
Zhao Luo unconsciously answered.
“Haha, Brother I respect you even more.”
Mo Lee said as he clasped his hands towards Zhao Luo.
Zhao Luo who was busy looking at the moonstones of the different pillars turned to look at Mo Lee.
Zhao Luo felt confused as he looked to notice that Mo Lee was bowing to him while Feng Mei and Yan were looking at Zhao Luo with fire in their eyes.
‘Did I do something wrong?’
Zhao Luo wondered.
He turned back to face the ring stage as he couldn’t handle the pressure of the stare of these beautiful ladies.
“Look Ruo Qing has opened her eyes.”
A disciple from the crowd exclaimed.
The pillar Ruo Qing was standing in front of was displaying number 41 that is she had cleared 40 stages and decided to quit at the 41st stage.
This was already a big accomplishment.
The moonstone shined and four black stars were imprinted on Ruo Qing’s palm.
She then turned around and surrounded by everyone’s awe she got jumped off the ring just to land next to Zhao Luo.
‘Hmm.’
Zhao Luo was baffled by Ruo Qing’s action.
‘Why did she have to land here?’
Zhao Luo questioned as everyone was looking at them.
Ruo Qing gave a light bow to Zhao Luo as she smiled at him before walking away with a flushed face.
“Brother.”
Yan and Feng Mei looked at Zhao Luo in disbelief as if he had done something to the poor girl.
Zhao Luo smiled awkwardly as he hurriedly jumped on the ring.
Zhao Luo walked towards the vacant pillar.
‘Tap.’
Zhao Luo placed his hand on the dull moonstone which looked like it had lost its beautiful luster.
‘Fwoosh.’
The moonstone shined.
Zhao Luo felt a pulling force from the shining Moonstone as drowsiness took over him and his eyelids clapped, falling.
With the darkness covered by the light coming from the Zhao Luo felt calm and let his body be dragged wherever it was being taken by the pulling force.
After a while, the pulling force had disappeared.
‘Ahhhh.’
Zhao Luo screamed in his mind while trying to open his eyes.
Zhao Luo had finally opened his eyes.
“So this is the space inside the Moonstone.”
Zhao Luo realized that he was in a big space.
The whole surrounding was metallic grey.
“Am I inside a silver box?”
Zhao Luo questioned as he looked around to see what the challenge was.
“All Weapons are Allowed”
A sound was heard by Zhao Luo.
“The challenge will start in 3.”
Another announcement went into Zhao Luo’s ears as the countdown started.
‘1’
‘2’
‘3’
<Stage 1>
As the countdown ended, a bubble floated upwards that had the stage number.
While Zhao Luo was looking at ‘Stage 1’, he felt a punch that was coming at him from the right.
‘Sh*t.’
It was so fast that Zhao Luo couldn’t dodge it or block it.
It struck Zhao Luo in his right cheek. Instead of feeling hurt something surprising happened.
The punch did come in contact but to Zhao Luo, it felt as if a fly had landed on his face.
Unfortunately for the person who had punched, Zhao Luo didn’t even flinch.
“Creak~”
The thing that had punched Zhao Luo made a weird sound as it backed away.
“A robot?”
Zhao Luo questioned. There was a golden status floating over this robot.
‘LvL 1.’
“Crea~~ak. Mee Puppet.”
The puppet answered as it croaked its head.
“Puppet. Hmm. Then you can die now.”
Zhao Luo was angry that something like a puppet was successful in landing a punch on his handsome face.
‘Even though it doesn’t hurt but what if that punch left a mark?’
Zhao Luo thought angrily.
“Ifrit.”
Zhao Luo called out as a crimson fiery sword appeared in his hand.
Zhao Luo rushed at the level 1 puppet.
‘Slash’, and sliced it in two halves with a single swing of ifrit.
‘Intense Clapping.’
Zhao Luo could hear clapping sounds echoing around him like someone was spectating him as he cleared the first stage.
Outside of the moonstone space, around the ring.
It had only been ten seconds since Zhao Luo had placed his hand on the moonstone and the number on top of the pillar was already 2.
That is Zhao Luo had cleared the 1st stage in less than 10 seconds.
‘Amazing.’
Some disciples thought.
The other pillars were getting free too as the ones who were in their training were quitting thus others started taking their turns.
Feng Mei and Yan were on the left and right of Zhao Luo as they also placed their hands on the moonstone to start the challenge.
Mo Lee was in front of the last pillar towards the right side.
He was also in the space inside the moonstone.
‘Moonstone space where Zhao Luo was in.’
<Stage 2>
Zhao Luo started looking around before a puppet could land a sneak attack on him.
“There you are….what…there are two this time?”
Zhao Luo finally found the puppet. But to his surprise, there were two of them instead of one.
“LVL 2.”
Both puppets had ‘level 2’ floating above their heads.
Zhao Luo rushed at them as they jumped at Zhao Luo.
“Cling, Slash”
Zhao Luo’s Ifrit clashed with both puppet’s metallic bodies. But their defense wasn’t high enough to stop Zhao Luo’s sword as they both fell apart in two pieces after being sliced in two pieces.
‘Will the last stage have a hundred puppets?’
Zhao Luo looked at the two puppets which were lying around his foot.
‘Intense Clapping.’
The clapping returned as Zhao Luo had cleared another stage.
<Stage 3>
“Creak, Creak, Creak.”
Zhao Luo looked at the three puppets that were coming at him.
“Swoosh.”
A punch passed his face as Zhao Luo dodged it by tilting his head.
Even though the previous puppet’s attacks didn’t hurt him but how could he be sure that these puppet’s attacks won’t hurt him too.
Also, the levels above these puppets had changed.
“LVL 3”
Zhao Luo was now sure of two things.
First. Every stage will have puppets equal to the number of stages.
Second. The level of the puppets will be the same as the number of the stage.
While Zhao Luo was going over the information that he had gathered after clearing two stages, he was also dodging the attacks thrown at him by these level 3 puppets.
