Crossdressing To Survive An Apocalypse [BL] Novel

Chapter 13 - 13 - Accidental Meeting

Zou Yue sat in the waiting area while the first-class passengers all boarded. After a few minutes, his numbers were called and he boarded the flight with his duffel bag in hand.

He was on urgency yesterday so he booked the economy class. His seat was right in front of the compartment but still it was not that comfortable. His long legs barely fit in the small leg space. He shrunk himself to fit in.

“Um, that’s my seat,” a soft voice whispered right then gesturing to the window seat next to him.

A kind-looking lady carrying a baby stood next to him.

Zou Yue kindly got up and let her get to the window seat.

The lady kept throwing curious glances at him.. He just nodded towards her.

“Have I seen you anywhere?” she whispered after a minute or so.

“I—I don’t think so,” Zou Yue mumbled nervously. His sight was always been at the kid. Back in the apocalypse time kids were a rarity. What he was afraid of was the fact that baby zombies were fucking scary as hell? They can crawl, jump and even swim. He got traumatised after meeting them just once.

He scooted little away from her.

The baby looked at him with her eyes wide open. She smiled and reached out to him a little.

He jumped back from those grabby arms.

“Sorry, sorry, she is usually not like this,” the lady apologised awkwardly.

Zou nodded to her without any word. But he still he had a vigilant eye at this child. ‘How can such a small child become such a dangerous zombie? How can they even jump ah! It’s against physics!!’

Noticing his line of sight, the kid went to grab his shirt.

Zou Yue swiftly moved away until he was leaning on the aisle way.

The kid noticed her repulsion and started sobbing loudly.

‘Fuck! The baby is crying! What to do! What to do! I made the child cry!’ he anxiously took out a piece of dried strawberry and gave it to her.

The kid took it with her sticky fingers. The curious kid took a few licks out of it, but she did not seem to like the taste. She tossed it at him and started wailing again.

The child’s mother apologised again and again, Zou Yue did not blame her. Kids are usually like this. That’s why most of the babies did not survive in the zombie apocalypse. Even if they survived the virus, most of them did not survive the zombies.

It’s all because they were loud as heck! Any kid of unwanted noise is a danger in those times. Most people heartlessly ditched them.

Zou Yue glanced at the wailing child and smiled. “Hey, it’s okay. Everything is okay,” he whispered.

The child stopped crying and held her hands out.

Zou took it. The kid secretly placed something is his palm and chuckled loudly. He opened his tight fist to see a piece of half eaten grape. “Do you want to give this to me?”

The child nodded.

“Oh, how cute,” he chuckled.

The child’s mother awkwardly helped him clean his hands and apologized once again.

“It’s okay,”

The air hostess informed that the flight would take off in few minutes.

Zou Yue strapped in. After ten years, he was finally flying. This made him quite anxious. He gripped the belt tightly.

The child next to him started wailing again for his attention.

Few of the other passengers noticed this. A middle-aged lady glanced back and saw Zou Yue’s amazing visual.

She swiftly called the air hostess and informed her to stop this situation.

Zou Yue frowned at her. ‘You can’t possible to stop a kid from crying? The child is just feeling uncomfortable. What is this lady’s problem?’ he glared at her slightly. This posh looking lady was wearing a Gucci pink dress that came to her knees. Her hair was fully styled with a small bow on top. She noticed his sight and waved at him with a small, innocent smile.

Zou Yue swiftly looked away.

Somehow this posh lady annoyed the air hostess so much that she decided to move his seat next to her.

The man sitting next to this posh lady immediately rushed and took Zou Yue’s seat.

Zou Yue awkwardly stood in the middle of the aisle. He really did not want to sit next to this lady. He gripped his duffel bag.

Feeling his awkwardness, the air hostess silently whispered to him, “sir would you like to sit in the business class,”

“Are there any seats remaining here?”

“No sir, we are fully booked in economy, but we do have a seat in business. Why don’t you sit there?” she smiled at him.

Zou nodded. Anything is better than sitting next to a self-absorbed person.

“Hey wait, I thought he was going to sit next to me,” the posh looking lady glared at her.

“Sorry miss, this customer is feeling uncomfortable sitting next to you,” the air hostess coldly said to her. This woman had been causing trouble since the moment she walked in. she kept whining that seats were not spacious and that the water was not hot enough.

“hey I am definitely complain about this!” the middle-aged lady shrieked.

“please do miss, we shall let them know of our side of the story,” The air hostess scoffed at her a bit and guided Zou Yue to the business class.

Zou tossed his bag under the seat in front of him and settled down.

Only then did he notice the person next to him was looking his way. He glanced at him and nodded. But the familiar face startled him a bit.

“!!!” he swiftly retracted his gaze. ‘Why is Fan Xui here!!! On my god, why was he even in S city? He a business mogul in G city maybe he came here for business.’ He nodded to himself. He took out a rose cake and chewed on it slowly.

Fan Xui was typing swiftly his laptop. Zou curiously glanced at it, then at him. Each of those keys had a special small dotted sticker stuck to them. ‘Wait, isn’t that brail! my lord he really is blind!!’

He really wanted to wave his hand in front of him to check this information but he knew that it was a rude behaviour. He nervously dwindled with his thumb and occasionally took a look at him.

Fan Xui, who was working seriously, could not concentrate at all. The kid next to him was looking at him too intently. He subtly glanced at his blurry figure. Hs surgery was a success, and the bandage was removed just yesterday. His sight was still slightly blurry, but he was able to see little by little as time went on.

He saw the blurry figure of the person next to him and smiled slightly. He switched his laptop off and placed it in the bag under his seat.

He closed his eyes tiredly. ‘Soon, I will see the world clearer.’

Zou Yue silently gestured for the air hostess and got a blanket. He draped it on him gently. ‘He looks young…’ he held back the urge to pinch his cheeks.

‘Ah, I am a stranger ah, I can’t just get handy with him,’ he took out his book and stared drawing the vigorously. In the second volume he planned to include a basic guide to all the different types of zombies and evolved beasts and how to defeat them.

Fan Xui’s calm eyes turned turbulent for a second. He gripped the blanket tightly and glanced at the young man, who was scribbling something. He only noticed the huge words apocalypse guide volume two on the cover. ‘Is he a writer? Why is he being so kind to me?’ he touched his chin. He had heard multiple times from his assistant that he was handsome, but he had never seen his own reflection from a young age.

‘Maybe….. Maybe…’ he slowly nodded and looked his way. The young man was shading a gruesome looking cat like monster with red colour pencil. He moved closer and took a look.

Suddenly, a small memory emerged. It was the same beast in the drawing and he was fighting against it with a weird power. His head started to ache immensely. He closed his eyes tightly and took a deep breath. ‘What was that?!’
