Daye went by and finally the moving day was near. The constriction was completed at last and everything was packed and moved to the new house. Only a few personal items and valuable items were left for them to move.
Zou Yue glanced at the empty house with a small smile. “I had good memories here,”
“We are not selling this place, you know that, right?” his dad mumbled from behind carrying a heavy ornate looking black box.
“Selling it will be the most profitable. I’ll tell you why when we settle down in our new house,” he whispered. He ran to him and pulled the heavy box from him. “Why don’t you and mum just get in the car, I’ll bring the rest out.”
“No, no, I am not a disabled person I can do it,” his dad adamantly took the box from him.
.
Zou Yue plucked it from him. “Well, I am not the one who will be crying all night with a backache,” he chuckled and walked out.
“Wait, you brat! Who has back ache, huh? Ask your mum I am healthy as a horse,” he chided, as he followed behind him.
“Yeah right, I have to massage his back every day.” his mum gently kissed his father’s cheeks. “Come on, darling let our son help.”
“Hump, who needs help!”
Zou Yue loaded the last box into the trunk and closed it firmly. “Come on, guys get in.”
His father was secretly fiddling with something by the walls. It looked like he was pasting something there.
“Dad?”
“yes yes.. Stop shouting for me,” His father hopped in the driver’s seat and his mother rode shot gun.
She glanced back with a small smile. “Our Yue is eighteen already maybe we you should teach him how to drive, darling,” she playfully nudged her husband.
“Hmm later…” his father seriously drove. “After settling down I’ll teach you.”
“Okay~” Zou Yue casually whispered. In fact, he did know how to drive but that was ‘apocalyptic driving’ which is not suitable for normal situations like this. If he drove like that now, it would most likely cause a huge road accident.
He sighed, thinking about his old days when he ran for his life. It was hectic but his father’s car helped him a lot in moving from S city to G city.
He gently caressed the leather seats. ‘Maybe I should fortify the windows and doors. It will take some time though,’
The stress was balling up; the apocalypse will destroy half of the world is fast approaching.
He glanced out the window. The English New Year was already over and it was mid-January, yet still the houses still lit beautiful lights and hung red lamps outside preparing for the upcoming Chinese New Year.
‘In five months none of these will exist. the streets will be filed with stench of blood and decay….’
‘But I was given a precious second change. I cant afford to waste it,’ he caressed the little rat who was sleeping peacefully on his lap.
“Mum, dad can we fold dumpling this year?” he mumbled softly.
“Hmm, what filling do you want? I was planning on making pork, but your father did not like it much last year,” his mother whispered back.
“It was too oily,” his father grumbled.
“How oily can a dumpling be? I liked it, Yue liked it. It is only you who is so picky with your food. Thank god Yue did not learn that from you,” she mumbled, nudging him even more.
“Stop it honey, I’m driving!” his father frowned slightly. “And I am not picky,”
“Yeah right,” his mother rolled her eyes.
Zou Yue leaned front watching them both bicker. ‘This life I hope they survive. I hope they live with me for at least until they are ninety. God it is all I wish for….’
“Yue here.” his mother handed him a small orange. “It’s from our neighbour’s yard, its sweet isn’t it?”
Zou Yue gently rolled it in his hand. “It’s very sweet…”

Right after they left, a black car rolled in front of their house. it did not completely stop instead it slowed down a lot.
“Sir?” Hua glanced back at him questionably. “We are at his house again…”
“oh…” Fan Xui acted casual as he glanced out the window. But his anxious eyes behind his black specks searched for a familiar figure. But he could not even see a shadow. “Do you see them?”
“Sir it looks like they might have moved,” Hua whispered sadly.
“Moved!! Where?” Fan Xui anxiously leaned forward. The small board that said ‘up for sale’ was hidden from sight. For the front seat it was clearly visible, though.
“They moved….” Fan Xui sadly sat back. “Hua, go check where they might have moved. I still have a contract with Mister Zou Yue,” he coldly mumbled.
Hua glanced back with a confused gaze. ‘First, he bought his book copyright for an astronomical price, now he wants to stalk him. Is Zou Yue so special to him? Is our boss really in love like mister Qian said?’
