Crossdressing To Survive An Apocalypse [BL] Novel

Chapter 65 - 65 - Visiting [father-in-law] Uncle

“What do you want?” Zou Wei scowled deeply.

“I was near the area and I wanted to say hi fath.. uncle.” Fan Xui smiled at him dazzlingly.

“Don’t point your smirk at me young man, it’s not working. I know your intensions,” he grumbled, walking over to the kitchen. He went past his fussing wife and took the tray of tea and biscuits she had prepared.

“Gasp, I’m an innocent person, uncle,” Fan Xui whispered when he came out of there.

Zou Wei gave him an annoyed look. “You barely look innocent.. I saw that look you had…”

“what look?” Fan Xui still maintained an innocent smile on his face. He was smiling so much that his cheeks hurt. Though his smile was not a fake one. He was genuinely happy to meet Zou Yue and his family again.

Zou Wei glared at him hard. “That barely restrained look. You looked like a beast that was about to pounce on my child,” he placed the tray on the table carefully. “You better keep away from my child,”

Fan Xui gulped. “I did not intend to be indecent with your son. It was just… I was hearing his voice after so long…”

“Don’t, I don’t wish to hear your reasons in detail. Drink your tea and go,” he handed the cup of hot tea in his hands and sat him down on the sofa. “Why did you even have to buy a plot next to us? It’s such a hassle. Now I have to deal with a pervert who runs after my son’s ass.”

Fan Xui coughed out the tea. He swiftly wiped it with his sleeve. “I’m not a pervert sir.” But in his mind, he remembered the delightful view he saw just minutes ago.

“you are. I saw that to too!!” Zou Wei sat down next to him and sighed loudly. “I understand it. When I was your age I was chasing after Yue’s mum dedicatedly.”

“And here you are. You both make such a loving couple,” Fan Xui praised him immensely.

“yes…”

“But fath.. uncle… my parents…were like you both, too. They were always lovey-dovey with each other. God, they kissed so much. When I was young, I used to think it was so gross,” he whispered with a soft sigh.

Zou Wei placed his cup down and gently patted his shoulders. “I’m sorry about your parents.”

“No, it’s okay. I bet they are in a better place… maybe they reincarnated in another world, living happily as a couple. That’s what a like to believe…” Fan Xui carefully placed the porcelain cup on the table.

“Your uncle… did you see him after that? If I’m not intruding too much.. I read it in the news.” Zou Wei curiously glanced at him.

Fan Xui shook his head. “I don’t wish to face him. This unfamiliar rage rises up every time I see his face. From such a young age, I had to control myself, keep my expression under check to live under the shadows of those snakes. But now… I’m somehow freed,”

“That Bai family deserves to rot in prison. I heard one of them escaped trial? Was it the younger kid…” Zou Wei handed him a plate filled with mochi.

“Hmm… I don’t know his intent too. He is good at masking himself, but in fact, he is a bad person, just like his family,”

“I see… you did with that?” he took the plate from him.

“Yes?” Fan Xui placed the empty teacup down.

“Great lest get you out of here,”

He glanced at him with a fake, pitiful look. “I was sharing my most painful memory,”

“Yeah, and your story is over, right? I can’t confine my rebellious son in his room for a long time,” he glanced to the door where Zou Yue was poking his head out.

Fan Xui chuckled softly.

Zou Wei stood up. “And I don’t wish for him to meet you. So get going,”

“This is so unfair. I just want to hear his voice,” he whispered back to him.

“You heard him say one sentence and got hard. Get lost!!” Zou Wei whispered to him secretly and opened the front door open.

He pushed him gently out the door. “Safe journey,” he slammed it shut. Right then his wife walked out of the kitchen. “Where is little Fan I got him some more ice cream mochi?,”

“He had diarrhea and had to go home,” Zou Wei pulled his wife away from the door.

Fan Xui, who was right out the door heard this and cringed. ‘He really has creative ways to chase me away. But…. now that we are neighbors I will have more stupid reasons to drop by too,’ he happily hopped back to his car.

Hans was waiting there as usual. “Sir, we should hire a driver for you,”

“Why?”

“I am your assistant. I have work…” Hans glanced back with a dull look on his face.

“Don’t worry, next time I will take you along to meet Yue’s parents.”

“That was not what I asked for.. but please do take me in next time. I can smell green tea mochi on you.” Hans mumbled, licking his lips.

“Sorry for the inconvenience. Ask the accounts manger to give you a hefty raise,”

“Yay!!!” Hans happily drove the car back to the city.

Along the way, Fan Xui suddenly leaned forward. “What about the books? Has the printing process over?”

“The final editing is done. All we have to do is decide on the number of copies. I suggest we print just hundred copies to reduce the cost. Our contract does not mention the number, anyway. And rest we can send a free kindle edition to all the people. This way..”

“No! Print ten thousand… no, fifty thousand copies. Send those copies to colleges and schools. Let them get a copy of it.”

The car veered a bit. Hans safely parked it in the parking area and glanced back. “Can I go back to friend mode?”

“?”

“Okay, I’ll take your silence as a yes. What the hell are you thinking!!! Fifty thousand copies?!!!! That’s too much. Those books don’t even make sense.”

“My Yue wrote it.” Fan Xui glared at him.

“God, you are beyond saving,” Hans sighed loudly.
