Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough Novel

Chapter 44 - The Flying Sword Sects Stable

As Qing Yi failed to catch up with her master and get any answers from him, she instead decided to pack up the things that she needed and prepare for the journey tomorrow morning. No matter what, she would find out what her master meant by them flying tomorrow.

Most of her thought were on her master using a demon beast or something along that line, to travel. After all, the Flying Sword Sect did have quite a few flying demon beasts that they could use for something like that.

Thinking more deeply about it, it was not really that surprising for someone at the Nascent Soul Realm to have a flying demon beast. From what she knew, some wealthy or strong Core Formation cultivators had flying demon beasts as well!

Wondering about it would not result in anything and Qing Yi decided to meet up with Zhi Ruo and Zeng Shihan to say her goodbyes before leaving. Maybe she could even get a laugh out of them upon mentioning her master’s “expertise” in formations…

The sun slowly rose from the east as a new day began for the disciples of the Flying Sword Sect. Many of them were nervous and tense as the situation regarding the Azure Sky Kingdom had spread across the Heavenly Sky Kingdom in the past few months.

This nervous and tense expression that hovered over most of the Flying Sword Sect, was not present on Qing Yi. Instead, her eyes shone with excitement as she stood outside of the pavilion and waited for her master to show up.

The reason for her excitement was none other than the fact that she would finally be able to go home and visit her dad again! Qing Yi was ecstatic about her breakthrough into the Foundation Establishment Realm and could not wait to get home and show it off to her dad.

Other than that, Xuan Hao had also helped her train in the Azure Wind Sword, allowing her to improve by leaps and bounds over the past half year.

“Hm? You are already here Qing Yi? What about breakfast, did you remember to eat?” As Qing Yi was lost in her own thoughts, the voice of Xuan Hao was heard from the entrance of the pavilion. Soon, Xuan Hao could be seen coming out of the pavilion waring a casual white robe, contrary to his core elder robe.

“Yes! I woke up early to make sure I was ready for today! I already ate and said farewell to both Zhi Ruo and Zeng Shihan, so we can go when you are ready master!” Not missing a beat, Qing Yi answered Xuan Hao’s questions as quickly as he asked them.

Full of excitement and energy was not enough to describe Qing Yi’s current state of excitement, Xuan Hao even thought someone had replaced his formerly calm disciple with someone else…

“I see… Then let’s just set off immediately.” Looking at Qing Yi’s bobbing her head up and down, Xuan Hao placed his hand gently on her head to try and calm her down, in turn causing Qing Yi to turn red in embarrassment and immediately stop moving around excitedly.

“Good, now that you are calm let’s go to the sect’s stable and get a flying demon beast.” Saying this, Qing Yi nodded obediently and quietly followed behind Xuan Hao, no longer as excited as before.

The earlier attack from her master was too much for her young heart to handle and Qing Yi quietly and cautiously observed her master as both of them made their way to the sect’s stable.

The Flying Sword Sects stable was an enormous building with simple yet beautiful architecture.

All of the demon beasts that the disciples caught and tamed were kept at the sects stable, as for the demon beasts caught and tamed by the elders. Most of them would keep their demon beasts at their own pavilion.

Xuan Hao sadly had not caught and tamed any demon beast, so he had decided to just borrow one from the sect. Luckily such a thing was easy to accomplish with his current status as a core elder of the sect.

Entering the stable, Xuan Hao and Qing Yi, saw a wide variety of demon beasts. Ranging from small demon beasts the size of an apple, all the way up to the giant demon beasts large enough to carry a few dozen people on their backs.

“Greetings Elder Xuan and you must be his disciple, Qing Yi, how can I help you today?” As Xuan Hao entered the stable together with Qing Yi, a short old man made his way forward and bowed, before politely asking for their purpose in coming to the stable.

“I’m in need of a flying demon beast that can at least fit two people, I was told by Feng Chen that I should just ask for it.” Not really knowing anything about how the stable worked or demon beast taming, Xuan Hao decided to just say that Feng Chen was the one who told him just to ask about it. Not willing to admit how little he knew about the subject of demon beast taming in front of his disciple.

When he got any free time, Xuan Hao quietly swore to himself that he would train up some of the subjects that he had not trained before, like alchemy, blacksmithing, beast taming and maybe even try and improve his expertise in formations.

“I see… Please follow me Elder Xuan, I’m sure we have a few flying demon beasts available that will fit your need.” Like a trained salesman, the short elderly man led them deeper into the stable as they passed by many fabulous demon beasts.

One demon beast had the head of a lion with the body of a horse, making it look quite comical, while another had the body of an elephant with spikes sticking out all over its body.

Both Xuan Hao and Qing Yi were amazed at all the different kinds of demon beasts as they slowly made their way deeper into the stable under the guidance of the short old man.
