“Say what again?” flying through the air toward a specific direction where Darla’s residence was located, suddenly Senior Lin’s shocked voice resounded almost in the entirety of the sect, attracting many disciples’ gazes from below and from the distance.
“You… Explode? Why would it explode?” ignoring the stares on her skin, Senior Lin fixed her gaze on the token in her hand, showing a rather dumbfounded complexion at the moment.
“I am currently forging a Supreme-Quality ore which seems to possess greater power than I have initially believed. Although I can control its Essence Bursts for a limited degree, once I achieve to form its God Essence things could become rather ugly. That is why I need Darla’s help as she has high knowledge about arrays.” Khal explained everything without keeping anything a secret from Senior Lin.
After all, even if he decides to lie to her, once the God Essence was created and the anticipated burst of energy will appear, he won’t be able to hide a single thing.
Furthermore, learning from his previous mistake where he destroyed a small portion of Moon Academy back in the First Realm he knew perfectly that it was better to ask for others’ help while he attempts to create an ore’s God Essence, especially if that ore had already formed its own law, one that was particularly dangerous!
Though, what he didn’t expect was that the moment he mentioned the two words of ‘God Essence’, Senior Lin’s complexion would stiffen and her whole body would tremble like leaves during a cold autumn night!
Although she was not an expert in the field of forging, she still had basic knowledge about ores and the way they were forged. Thus, she was not someone new to know what the concept of ‘creating God Essence’ was.
“Khal… Did you just say… God Essence?” Senior Lin’s body halted in mid-air, her voice rather shaky at the moment.
“Yes, I did,” Khal replied casually, almost as if he just clarified nothing heaven-defying.
[You really are something else.]
‘Why? Should I act all shy about something that is a straight fact or I have should something else?’ Khal asked Nova when he heard her words.
[No, you should not. But the problem here is not with what you have just said, but the way you have delivered it.]
‘You are really liking to nag me lately, don’t you?’ Khal thought as he didn’t stop striking the Gravity Ore and said, “Anyways, Senior Lin, please hurry up and find Darla. Although it will take me at least a day to form the God Essence, simple arrays can’t be formed under an instant much less complicated ones.”
And once he said those words, Khal stopped pouring his essence into the Moon Token in his hand which immediately severed his connection with Senior Lin, and quickly took out the other token that he was given by Dona.
Meanwhile, above the Core Court of Moon Sect, Senior Lin stared motionlessly at the silver token in her hand, her lips parting and closing from time to time without any words coming out of her mouth.
“This brat…” soon, Senior Lin’s eyes flashed with a hint of anger and without wasting any more time flashed into the distance, quickly arriving before a building’s door.
Obviously, this was Darla’s residence, just a few blocks away from Khal’s.
Knock~Knock!
“I am coming.” Darla’s indifferent voice sounded from the inside and after a few seconds, the door finally opened, revealing her slim but charming figure that even among the Fairy race was a rare sight.
“Huh, Sect Master? What brings you here?” Darla felt surprised by the sudden visit of Senior Lin as she asked.
Just a few moments ago she was cultivating in her room, trying to break the shackles on her body and reach the Ascender Stage, but unfortunately, just as always her progress was rather slow.
“We don’t have time. Come, quick! I will explain everything on the way.” Senior Lin said and without waiting for any response grabbed Darla’s hand and flew into the distance.
In a flash, she traveled several hundreds of meters and once she passed through the border between the Core and Inner Court she began to descend, landing just right before Silver Moon.
“Huh? Isn’t this place…” Darla mumbled as she recognized the smithery where Khal walked inside a day ago and glanced at Senior Lin, “Sect Master, why are we here?”
“Although even I don’t know many things, in short, I need you to create an array around this building that can withstand powerful explosions. The stronger the better.” Senior Lin explained as she took out a token and poured some essence into it, “This is an emergency. Except for Elder Khal, everyone inside Silver Moon must stop whatever they are doing and come out this instant!”
Darla’s delicate brows lowered slightly into a frown when she heard Senior Lin’s words, but her frown grew even deeper when she saw how people one after another began to jog out of Silver Moon.
“Sect Master, what is the meaning of this?” an old man wearing the characteristic robe of an Elder appeared at the side of Senior Lin, his face holding a solemn expression.
His was Elder Lane, the head of the Blacksmithing Department inside Moon Sect and one of the few Elders that were half a step away from breaking into the Ascender Stage.
The presence of Elder Lane and Senior Lin quickly attracted much attention inside the sect and it was not long before other Elders appeared together with curious disciples too!
“Elder Shiu, if I remember correctly, you have knowledge about arrays, right?” ignoring the question of Elder Lane, Senior Lin looked at Elder Shiu who appeared a few seconds ago.
“I… Yeah, I have. As a fact, I am a 3-star Advanced Array Master, so I can be considered as a professional.” Elder Shiu nodded, but as he still felt puzzled he asked, “But why is that important?”
But unfortunately, Senior Lin ignored his question too and said, “Great. Then help Disciple Darla in constructing a powerful defensive array around Silver Moon. Don’t ask, just do it!”
Elder Shiu who was just about to ask his question again closed his already open mouth and nodded. Although he was not happy with the way Senior Lin talked, the way she acted and the grave look on her usually calm face told him it was better not to talk but do as he was told.
“Understood.” Elder Shiu nodded and quickly began to move.
“What are you doing? Elder Khal asked for your help specifically so move!” Senior Lin glanced at Darla sternly, forcing her to flinch unwittingly before making her move too and start drawing different symbols on the ground around the building.
