[In the system’s opinion, this crystal is likely a purer quality Duranium. If we really have to give it a designation, this would be a more presentable Duranium Crystal than the researchers’ mock version]
Stein’s explanation was indirectly harsh to the edge. Suppose this statement was heard by the researchers. They would have gone on a suicide spree for being unable to receive the comment.
Of course, something as straightforward as this can only be heard from the emotionless Stein. Plus, the system only needs to care about Zhang Qin Feng’s mental state and not the others.
[And from the system’s record so far, this is the first time something of this quality appeared physically. This allowed the system to believe that this crystal holds more secrets about the Seed Crystal Virus and its existence]
[If this request can be realized by the user’s subordinate, the system suggests more Wolfram Light application against zombie swarm like last night]
[Based on the system’s primary hypothesis, the pressure from the sudden increase in the temperature triggered these Duranium Crystal’s formation. If we can continue producing the crystals this way, it would increase the number of research samples in our hands]
[The system also suggests providing two out of the ten crystals to the research team for further research. Their contribution might be beneficial to the system in the future]
It was rare that Stein was so talkative out of sudden. But again, it was expected because the system was in his mind, to begin with. The conversation was made right in his mind, so he unconsciously went on with the topic without doing anything else.
And without the need to consider too much, Zhang Qin Feng agreed with the system’s suggestion.
‘I’ll follow the suggestion. Let’s give the two crystals to Valerian after we’ve returned to the Vermilion Empress.’ Zhang Qin Feng felt he was nodding at the system, but he was, in fact, soundly asleep. The response was made in his mind instead.
On the following day, Zhang Qin Feng had a lengthy discussion with the two captains before deciding on their next step. The Vanguard-2 leader was also called into the room as Zhang Qin Feng promoted him into the temporary Vice-Commander for the Vanguard team.
“Hector, I have high hopes in you. Make sure you don’t disappoint me and Satella’s effort in grooming you.” Zhang Qin Feng tapped his shoulder before officially announcing his promotion via the Luna Device.
With his title now changed into Vice-Commander, everyone in these two vessels would have to accept it, even if they had something else in mind. In this post-apocalypse, only the braves could stay a step further than the others.
And evidently, Hector was someone brave enough to enter Zhang Qin Feng’s sight.
After that, Zhang Qin Feng’s next step was to look for volunteers to stay in the 001 Assailant-Class. Their responsibility would be related to farming for the Duranium Shards, clearing dangerous zones, and scouting the area before further order.
This further discussion took another half a day to complete. On the fourth day, Zhang Qin Feng finally finished organizing the crew for the 001 Assailant-Class.
Out of the ten residents from shelter No: 213, two willingly stay here to enrich their experience against the virus carriers. As for the other eight, all of them had their reason to return. And due to the excellent impression they’ve been giving Zhang Qin Feng, the two residents were promoted to team leaders for the new Vanguard-1 and Vanguard-2.
The number of soldiers in each team also changed to six members.
Including Hector himself, there’s a total of thirteen able soldiers here, along with 27 crews and the captain of 001 himself.
Before leaving, he made sure that he provided them with sufficient supplies for at least a month. After ensuring that Hector and the captain knew what they had to do here until the next ship came, the 002 sailed off with the remaining crews.
Once again, the additional propeller brought out its magical effect as their return journey was just a little over three days.
His arrival back to the Vermilion Empress came along with a piece of good news. It seems that the third Assailant-Class Patrol Ship was nearing its completion by the time the 002 docked in one of the maintenance hangars.
Based on their construction speed, it would be fit to set sail in the afternoon tomorrow.
But this time, he’s had something else in mind. He ordered Miria, Miriam, Victor, and Valerian to meet him immediately in the Vermilion Empress’ meeting room when he disembarked from 002.
His order got them by surprise, especially Valerian, who was still in the research facility.
And while he was waiting for Valerian’s arrival, the other shelter residents had left with Hoya and returned to the shelter for a quick rest and some augmentation to their bodies.
“Sorry, I’ve taken a little longer to arrive as I have to leave what I was doing to another researcher. Is there something essential for you to call the four of us here?” Valerian immediately asked once she stepped into the room.
“Yes. Everything I’ll be saying will be related to my trip over to the continent. And let’s start with Victor first. I’ll need a bunch of weapons like the quality of the Nightstalker-Bracelet you gave us before this.” Zhang Qin Feng said and focused on his matter with Victor first.
“Whoa! Wait, Boss. Nightstalker? That thing is expensive stuff. Do you know that they’re the one took most of our time manufacturing?” Victor immediately replied as he felt Zhang Qin Feng was demanding too much over here.
But he stopped giving out comments after seeing his boss’ smiling face while looking at him.
“You want me to do that no matter what, correct? I’ll work day and night for you then.” Victor slapped his forehead and sat down. For a moment there, he realized that he was about to step out of his speaking right.
As the boss of this group, Zhang Qin Feng indeed had the right to make a ridiculous request.
“I know you can do this. We had more to do after this, Victor.” Zhang Qin Feng walked behind Victor and gave his neck a pat. This was not a threatening speech, but more like an…
“I know I can depend on you, my mate,” gesture.
