Looking at the Prismatic Crystal on the leech’s forehead gave Zhang Qin Feng a perplexing emotion. From what he knew so far, the energy within the Duranium Crystals produced by this variant is considered meager than the one they’re currently using.
Although this lacking can be easily compensated by producing them in bulk, they’ll need a far bigger facility than this to make it profitable for the long term.
Hence, this made Zhang Qin Feng question himself and why Lucian seems so confident about the Duranium Crystal they’re producing right now.
“Boss, I’m sure you have a few questions in your mind right now, but please be patient until we arrive at the next section, which will answer all your worries. The third section is mainly for quality control, and that’s why it was lacking in attraction.” Lucian said.
“Alright. Bring me to the next section if there’s nothing else here.” there was a hint of moodiness on Zhang Qin Feng’s face as he spoke.
His mood was half-ruined by Lucian’s lackluster presentation.
But as they arrived at the fourth and final section of the facility, Zhang Qin Feng finally realized why Lucian mentioned it was a must to show him the third section before this.
He was greeted with a processing facility where the entire operation inside this section was handled by five operator-controlled robots. Out of the five, one was responsible for feeding the distribution line with the Duranium and Prismatic crystals to the three other robots.
As for the three robots, each one of them commandeered one supply line. Each line was constantly fed with the bluish Duranium Crystal to energize them. At the end of the line was a chief operator who oversees the entire operation. He was also the one who would run a quality control test over the completed product.
And just like what Valerian said, the shockwave burst seems to be happening each time the energy reaches a certain percentage. And to prevent that from damaging the equipment, the Prismatic Crystals were placed inside a shockwave-resistant cubicle as it was continuously fed with Duranium Crystals.
On top of the cubicle was a power-measuring device that could provide a precise reading of energy available inside the Prismatic Crystals. And from the look of it, a single morphed Prismatic Crystal could contain the power of a hundred Duranium Shards within.
It was measured at five hundred shards worth of power for a double morphed Prismatic Crystal and a thousand for the largest tripled morphed Prismatic Crystal.
Their action was no different from how a child piling up the sand together to create a sandcastle. And it seems that as the Prismatic Crystal gains more charges, the shape of the shard would also reconstruct.
The Prismatic Crystal would adapt to a shape of a rhombus crystal shard when it was fully charged. The smallest Prismatic Crystal would have a surface diameter of one inch, two for the double morphed, and three inches for the largest one.
Relying on his eyes to discern what he was shown, Zhang Qin Feng’s head was filled with all the information he wanted to know. He hated to admit this, but Lucian does have some ability after all…
“Go ahead and speak what you had in mind.” Zhang Qin Feng said while his attention is still on the five operator-controlled robots and their works. And from what his eye could discern, the power from the rhombus shards was also much stabler, which might be part of this variant’s trait.
“From what the Boss can see, the unique trait of this Seed Crystal Variant is not at how dense the energy per shard could contain, but how stable it was. And through our research effort so far, we believe that the pros and cons rely on how we’re using them in a real-world application.” Lucian said.
“Have you tried to overload the Prismatic Crystal with more energy it can contain? What was the result?” Zhang Qin Feng asked. He was somewhat curious about how they managed to keep the energy within that rhombus-like shard identical to one another.
“Yes, Boss. We’ve tried. And the result was the Duranium Crystal was ignored. Even placing it right beside the shard would generate no suction effect.” Lucian confidently answered Zhang Qin Feng’s question.
“The way you speak made this Prismatic Crystal look pretty stable compared to the energy we harness from the shards. Then, what kind of application do you suggest with these Prismatic Crystals here?” Zhang Qin Feng continues to question Lucian.
“Their application would be minimal if we’re trying to use the Prismatic Crystal in replacement for Atom Cell Battery, Ammunition, etc. The reason for saying this is because this crystal-like structure from the Variant Seed Crystal Virus feature can only be brought out in numbers and sizes.” Lucian answered.
“As a starter, I would suggest we use these Prismatic Crystals in Power Supply. This would be the best application to show how reliable and stable the generator from the Variant Crystal we’ve created.” he quickly added and ordered the chief operator to come forward.
The robot soon came forward with three temporary prototypes of power generators. Since the three different Prismatic Shards differ in size and energy they contained, it was only natural to prepare a suitable casing for each one.
“As you can see here, Boss… This generator here used fully charged Prismatic Shards as the core. Although the casing is bulkier, the power generated in this casing is firmer than the Atom-Cell Generator we’re using.” said Lucian.
“Well, all three prototypes we have here are indeed bulkier than the one we’re using. But it seems that this generator is somewhat more capable than the one we’re using. Are my eyes deceiving me?” said Zhang Qin Feng.
He was not joking.
While the power generator was indeed bulkier than the Atom-Cell Battery or generator Valerian created, the energy it held was stabler than her own design. Unlike the Duranium Shard that has to be grounded into powder before packaging, the Prismatic Crystal could immediately be used after the recharging or replacement procedure.
With ten rhombus Shards in the prototype generator, the smaller one could efficiently provide a thousand shards worth of energy when needed.
“What do you think, Valerian?” Zhang Qin Feng asked.
