Dimensional Store System In Apocalypse Novel

Chapter 370 - (EDT) Rescue Mission (1)

“What’s wrong, Boss?” the captain of the tenth Assailant-Class Patrol Ship asked. He finds it perplexing to see Zhang Qin Feng in an awful mood today.

“How many able fighters we had in this vessel? What about our equipment and so on?” Zhang Qin Feng didn’t answer the captain but asked him a few questions instead. There was a hint of impatience in his gaze, like he was planning to do something.

“Fifteen. We’re sufficiently armed and can be deployed for all mission types when required.” the captain answered without delay.

“Hmm… Not too much, and not too little.” Zhang Qin Feng whispered on his own as he pinched his chin casually.

“Captain, get ten of them ready for deployment. Make sure they’re lightly armed.” Zhang Qin Feng then relays his order to the captain before shutting his eyes and returning to his own thoughts.

Zhang Qin Feng quickly used the time while the ten soldiers preparing for deployment to create a mission. With Stein working inside his mind, the layout of this plan soon appeared and pinpointed a few specific locations worth inspecting.

The soldiers answering his calls stood before Zhang Qin Feng, whose eyes were still closed about ten minutes later. As serene and peaceful he looks, there’s still a remnant of murderous aura seeping out from his pores.

Such a severe murderous intent can only be found from those managed to kill over ten thousand zombies. And Zhang Qin Feng’s kill record far exceeds this figure. As the leader of Wind Base Group and the one in charge of deciding where to strike, the death count added into his name exceeded millions.

“Is everyone here?” Zhang Qin Feng spoke calmly while slowly opening his eyes. The confidence in his gaze hinted that he had a plan ready to be executed.

“Yes, Boss!” the soldiers replied instantly and straightened their back.

“Good. I’ll brief all of you while we’re on our way towards the shore. Prepare the fast boat and meet me there.” Zhang Qin Feng ordered.

“Captain, the moment I went ashore, fire all our arsenals towards that landmark of theirs. I will cut off all our means of communication after the surprise attack. Bring the ship to a retreat, and then come back here to pick me up along with 002, 004, 006, and 008.” said Zhang Qin Feng.

From the look of it, he seems to be prepared to poke the hornet nest.

“Yes, Boss!” the captain said and left the room and made haste as he returned to the commanding bridge in a hurry.

Meanwhile, Zhang Qin Feng used the gap of a minute walking towards the fast boat to upload a written version of his plan into his men’s Luna Device.

The fast boat quickly departed once Zhang Qin Feng grabbed a seat reserved for him. Utilizing the five minutes for them to get onshore, Zhang Qin Feng made sure he briefed them on what they had to do.

“Listen carefully. Each one of you would have a designated location you’ll have to infiltrate to obtain some intel. The detail will be available on your Luna Device. Our mission will start the moment 010 bombard the hell out of their auto-defensive system.” Zhang Qin Feng said.

“This would be a swift information extraction before we regroup six hours later at the location I will upload to your device later. And before our pickup arrives tomorrow, we’ll be rescuing our captured companion if they’re still alive and get revenge for them if they’re killed.”

“Do I need to make myself any clearer than this?” Zhang Qin Feng asked after he was done giving them a simple briefing.

“No, Boss!” all ten of them replied.

“Good. Move out!” said Zhang Qin Feng as the fast boat they’re riding latched itself on the side of the port with less traffic. As usual, the red button was pressed after disembarking to let the fast boat disassemble itself.

Including Zhang Qin Feng, they’re covering eleven suspicious locations that possibly be the holding cell to the members of Wind Base Group. Although they’ve been captured for over four months, the possibility some still survive is likely, provided they were fed minimally every day.

The alarm quickly followed when Zhang Qin Feng and his team successfully arrived at their respective destination.

To thoroughly attract all the defensive forces’ attention, the 010 Assailant-Class openly aimed their weapon as they appeared on the West Strand Division’s military radar. As they were making a move so suddenly, the land defense failed to respond immediately.

Eight brand new Decimator Warheads swiftly broke the defensive line just a moment after it was fired. To hit them harder, the CIWS followed and created a line of destruction everywhere.

More than ten trade and supply vessels were caught in the fierce attack as the Assailant-Class steadily pulled out from the area.

Their attack made the enemy’s land force respond immediately by strengthening their defense on all their core buildings. This is precisely what Zhang Qin Feng was waiting for, as four out of the eleven landmarks ended up surrounded by hundreds of soldiers.

As a spectator observing what they were doing during the attack, Zhang Qin Feng noticed something odd about his location. This place used to be the medical facility to treat injured personnel. But from what he knew, medical facilities weren’t necessary for the people in this world.

He was the only one who believed that it was more important to treat the injured and not give up on them.

‘Stein… Is it possible to hack into their surveillance system to check what they’re protecting here?’ Zhang Qin Feng inquired. At the same time, he had chosen a spot for them to meet up after this by linking the four pinpointed locations for their attack tonight.

[Toot… Successfully hacked into primary surveillance mode… Searching for quality information… Two valuable assets were discovered within the facility]

[Specimen 092: Antiviral Material of unknown purity]

[Specimen 2014: Wind Base Group Survivor, Given name, Queenie]

‘Queenie? Is it the Queenie that we know?’ Zhang Qin Feng almost lost his calmness the moment he heard her name.
