“Woo!!!” the groans from the zombies are getting more problematic as they slowly gathered into the size of a stampede. But that’s not the worst. What was getting bad is there’s a few tyrant and screamer mixed in the swarm, making it more dangerous.
It was too late for Satella’s warning because what’s done is done.
All they could do now is to either abandon this location or fight to their death to defend it. Although the percentage of them winning is minuscule, the chances are much better than wandering outside aimlessly.

Listening to Stein’s suggestion made Zhang Qin Feng had a different idea as everyone was somewhat looking disturbed.
Perhaps… He was the only one with no sense of emergency because he had the Dimensional Travel as his backup plan. But such unfair treatment wasn’t accessible by the others.
He quickly prepared himself inside the room while Satella drags the other with her to the lower floors.
“Marvin, do what you can and make sure you protected the last five floors from the eleventh to the fifteenth. Barricade all entry points and destroy the staircase if that’s what you have to do.” Satella said.
“Miriam. Miria. You’ll have to make as many explosives as you can right now. Check out what we have and quickly created them. Help Marvin if you have to.”
After finishing what she can think of, Satella turned her attention to Zhang Qin Feng. There’s not a hint of anger in her eyes as she looks at him affectionately.
“I’ll protect you as you retreat. Let’s get up to the roof, and we’ll use the Zipline-Path you’ve mentioned before. But there’s only one Zipline Harpoon, so… Only one of us can leave.” Satella said.
“You’ll go. It will be easier for the four of us to protect ourselves if you’re not here with us,” Satella added.
“No… I’m not leaving. You’ll barricade yourselves. Protect the building as long as you could until I returned. You won’t have to worry about my safety as I’m capable of protecting myself.” Zhang Qin Feng said.
The Centurion S-11 Rifle is slung around his shoulder as he grabbed her neck and pulled her closer to him.
“Believe me. I’ve left quite some food and ammunition inside the room, so make it your stronghold until I’ve returned. I won’t take too long.” Zhang Qin Feng said.
The short ten minutes inside the room he and Satella slept was used to bring the food, water, and ammunition out from his Dimensional Storage. With the capacity of 100 items per space, there’s an option for fourteen different exhaustible resources inside.
‘Next time, I’ll have to make sure to store useful things inside, and not just food and water.’ Zhang Qin Feng reminded himself as he noticed that food items took out ten of the fourteen spaces.
“I’ve left three military-grade steel daggers inside the room, so use that to protect yourselves. Can you send me out from the building before you keep the building shut?” Zhang Qin Feng whispered beside her ears.
“Alright… I’ll wait for you here. If you’re not coming back, then I won’t leave.” Satella kissed Zhang Qin Feng’s neck.
It was a passionate moment between them when their hands were holding one another tightly down the stairs. Exchanging another kiss before they parted, Zhang Qin Feng gave her a hug and carefully left the building.
“Did he run? He escaped, correct?” Miria, with her foul mouth, kept talking as Satella returned to the eleventh floor.
“You shouldn’t talk things like this about him. Do you know that he left almost all his provision and ammunition before leaving? He’s literally running out there empty-handed to attract the zombies to a different location.” Satella said as she pinches Miria’s cheek.
‘Please be safe…’ Satella turned her head to where Zhang Qin Feng went and prayed for his safety. As to whom she’s praying? It was to the bullet in her hand, of course. Because in this apocalypse, there’s no god nor religion.

Stein’s reminder continues to come as it kept Zhang Qin Feng maintain alert to his surrounding. He relies on the Iron-Sight attached to his Centurion S-11 Rifle to keep his shooting accuracy at its peak.
Following how he came during the morning, Zhang Qin Feng kept creating a trail of corpses to attract the horde towards his direction.
Right now, this was the only choice he has to keep the number of zombies gathered outside of the survival base low. But this method doesn’t solve the problem at all. While it is possible to attract the nearby zombies to his location, it was harder to say to those on the other side of the base.
Eventually, Satella would have to face half the horde of zombies no matter what Zhang Qin Feng did.
[Alert! Alert!]
“Woo!!!” the zombies were getting more active by the time the sun is almost setting. The two nearby Zombies seem to be on an adrenaline injection as they get active out of sudden.
‘Screw this. Now you know how to attack?’ Zhang Qin Feng held the Centurion S-11 Rifle on the muzzle and gave one of the zombies a swing on the head.
After making sure that the zombie fell, Zhang Qin Feng immediately grabbed his Phalanx X-02 holstered on his thigh.
*Bip! – Bip!*
Two shots were fired at the zombie with glowing red eyes.
Then, a third shot was fired at the one underneath his foot. Zhang Qin Feng finally moved his leg away after making sure that the zombie is dead.
‘Huh… Huh…’ Zhang Qin Feng calmed himself. Holding the Phalanx X-02 with both hands, he pointed the weapon straight in front of him as he catches up with his breathing.
[Toot!]
