Dimensional Store System In Apocalypse Novel

Chapter 7 - 7

After leaving his uncle’s store, Zhang Qin Feng continued with the daily activity he’s been doing for the last two days. Although the profit margin incomparable to how well he did on his first day, it still earns him close to a hundred dollars in profit.

But that was after adding up two days worth of his salary as his investment capital.

As he did not randomly spend his hard-earned money on useless things, there’s close to 750 dollars in his pocket right now.

[The market price today is quite promising. We’ll be able to earn a good amount today]

Stein’s comment came like a melodious ringing sound created by coins stacking up into a row. Feeling even more motivated to continue, Zhang Qin Feng awaited Stein’s upcoming instruction.

[First stop, the International Currency Exchange Centre]

[Then, head quickly to the Qingzhou Exchange Outlet located in the Qingzhou Mall]

‘Alright! What currency are we going to buy?’ Zhang Qin Feng sprints toward the direction of Tongyuan College. Including today, the four days of nonstopping effort of jogging in the morning has started to build considerable stamina for his body.

Although it wasn’t enough to be compared with athletes, it is much better than when he just started a few days ago.

[Purchase the currency of the Democratic Union first. They’re currently selling them for the price of 10:1. Based on our capital, we’ll purchase 75 dollars from them using everything we have]

Zhang Qin Feng felt the risk behind Stein’s choice, but he chose to follow it. The moment he reaches the International Currency Exchange Centre, he immediately took out everything he had to purchase the 75 dollars as instructed.

[Quick! The exchange rate is going to change in another 33 minutes. We’ll have to exchange them for Han Country’s Yuan as soon as possible]

The order from Stein was a rushing one. Using all his effort to sprint close to four kilometers away from his current location, Zhang Qin Feng would have to use all the stamina he had to reach there on time.

A four-kilometer distance would take approximately 40 minutes to complete if it was accomplished using a walking pace. To someone like Zhang Qin Feng, who just started to build his stamina a few days ago, this is indeed a challenging task.

But the possible profit behind it somewhat turned into motivation as Zhang Qin Feng forced himself to achieve the impossible.

Taking just 27 minutes to reach the Qingzhou Mall in the city center, Zhang Qin Feng went straight into its second floor. That’s also where the Qingzhou Exchange Outlet is located.

“Stein! Are we changing everything into Han Country’s Yuan?” Zhang Qin Feng made sure he did not make a mistake by asking Stein for the second time.

[Yes, my user. But we’ll have to try without feeling embarrassed here]

Stein’s remark somehow made Zhang Qin Feng felt a sense of uneasiness here. Pushing the door into the currency exchange, Zhang Qin Feng selected a cashier that seems easygoing.

Taking the Democratic Union’s bills out of his pocket, Zhang Qin Feng requested to convert them into Han Country’s Yuan.

“I’m sorry, dear customer. The rates are only given to those exchanging 100 dollars at once.” the male cashier apologetically rejected Zhang Qin Feng’s request.

“This brother, can you please try your best for me? This is all I have with me… I would really be thankful to you if you can make this transaction for me.” Zhang Qin Feng said. Both of his hands are put together as he begs and begs.

“Hmm… Give me a minute. I’ll ask my supervisor.” the male cashier made a trip to his supervisor behind him and asked if he can help Zhang Qin Feng.

“Sister Xiao, there’s a customer begging if we can exchange his 75 dollars of Democratic Union currency into Han Country’s Yuan. What do you think?” the male cashier said.

“Sure. The differences are too small. And there’ not many people with the Union’s dollar in hand. We should collect as much as we could.” the supervisor named Xiao replied. To the establishment at their level, meager differences of ten to hundred dollars were nothing but a small change to them.

‘Three minutes to go… Please make it quick…’ Zhang Qin Feng had the urge to bite his fingernail as the clock is ticking. Although Stein is confident with where to go for the best rates, it is not omnipotent to the point of predicting their hourly rates.

That’s because the rate that changes on an hourly basis is determined by how much has been traded. The more people sell a currency, the lower its value would be. The opposite would also be the same, where the lesser stock of a country’s banknotes they have, the higher their price would be.

“Considered yourself lucky that my supervisor is feeling nice today. She said we can keep the rates even if it is just 75 dollars. The exchange rate would be 100:2,300, so 75 dollars is equal to 1,725 Han Country’s Yuan.” the male cashier calculates the total to be paid to Zhang Qin Feng.

After he agreed to the payable amount, the male cashier printed out the exchange receipt about 30 seconds before the rates were updated. The new exchange rates pop up in between when he’s counting the 1,725 Yuan in front of Zhang Qin Feng.

“You really lucky. Do you know that the rates have dropped to 100:2120?” the male cashier said. After putting the banknotes and a receipt into an envelope, it was dropped inside the safety drawer for Zhang Qin Feng to collect.

“Thank you, brother cashier.” Zhang Qin Feng collected the envelope and left with a smile on his face.

‘What’s next, Stein?’ he asked.

[The user may choose to walk around for now. From estimation, the best rate for the Han Country’s Yuan will come in the next hour]

[But if the user is feeling that there’s nothing worthy of strolling, perhaps practicing a breathing technique would interest you?]

Stein’s offer suddenly caught Zhang Qin Feng’s interest as he would never imagine that there’s something like this available in the Dimensional System.

‘What kind of breathing technique is it? Did it come from where you originated from?’ Zhang Qin Feng asked.

[As I mentioned before, our world doesn’t follow this path. Although we do have a martial technique inherited down until the Seed Crystal Virus outbreak, it was more to subdue an opponent in a fistfight]

[In our culture, this is related to the lineage of supernatural, belief, and religion]

‘Fine. Then just treat me like someone with a supernatural syndrome.’ Zhang Qin Feng angrily replied Stein as he leaned comfortably on the recliner chair provided to the customer in the mall.

[I did not say that it wasn’t achievable. Through the advanced perception from our technology, it is possible to recreate the breathing technique that generates the same results]

[By following this breathing technique, it won’t be a dream to achieve the level of walking in the air or harden your skin like a steel plate in battle]

Stein’s explanation made it sound attractive to somebody with a dream to be a cultivator since he was a child.

‘Re – Really?’ Zhang Qin Feng asked.

[Although more information is needed to improve this Breathing Technique, achieving the state of using some Qi won’t be a problem at all]

Stein replied.

‘Then what are you waiting for? Quickly start now!’ Zhang Qin Feng excitedly sat in a lotus position as he gets himself ready.

[Then… Let’s start…]
