Davis and the others left the city where they were staying and moved.
They had to keep moving and not stay in one place for too long as their general region could be divined as long the Mystic Diviners still used their deaths to track him or the others down. Even then, seeing how there were no Heaven’s Warriors on his tail, Davis could tell that their success rate on divining their location was really low.
They lacked anything karmically related to him to track him down, after all.
During this time, Vereina rested properly and recovered fully. She no longer had any headaches. After Davis came out of his chamber, he checked her by bombarding her with reincarnation energy and confirmed. As a result, the poor girl was scarred, but it was also her choice as she really didn’t want any remnant aura of that old witch to remain in her.
Although chances were that she would remain safe even if she approached the fifth level of the Voidshade Chasm, she wanted to avoid getting possessed at all costs.
As for the others, Eldia increased her cultivation from Level Five to Level Seven Immortal Emperor Stage, while Calypsea also increased her cultivation from Level Seven to Level Eight Immortal Emperor Stage. While the lightning spirit chugged on thick annihilative lightning wisps, the flaming lollipops that Calypsea treated as delicacies just weren’t for show.
They were personally concocted by Lea using various kinds of flame essences and spirit flame essences as mold. She even tried to create one from a Flame Essence Orb, but that wasn’t possible, so she just named it Big Stickless Lollipop and allowed Calypsea to eat it too.
This little flame spirit was munching all day long while giving innocent and sweet noises.
Illumina also firmly settled herself within the Level One Empyrean Beast Stage. She became a significant asset to them since she could take on a Late Stage Empyrean without a problem and even escape from a Peak Stage Empyrean as her survival abilities were off the charts due to being a magical beast living in the Nether Dimension, the Nethermoon Mirage Rabbit.
Like a rabbit burrowing, she could create a portal to a subspace of the Nether Dimension to traverse the shadows. It doesn’t mean she could head to the Nether Dimension like Nyoran could. It only meant that she could traverse the shadows, which only solidified his speculation that the Shadow Dimension was a Minor Dimension that came from the Nether Dimension, a Major Dimension.
Still, it wasn’t like Illumina could open a portal to the Shadow Dimension either. She couldn’t do that.
Nyoran’s variance was special. Her species was called the Ghostly Crows, but her variance allowed her to be connected to the Nether Dimension. She was a Divergent Magical Beast because she was precisely able to open a portal to the Nether Dimension. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be a Divergent, or so Davis thought.
Otherwise, Nadia, who had a species name like the Nether Springs Death Wolf, would’ve also been able to open a portal to the Nether Dimension. But she can’t, and neither can Illumina, who has a species name like the Nethermoon Mirage Rabbit.
Only Nyoran was capable of this, and it made her a Divergent.
Finally, Tia and Hailac spent the whole time playing with Calypsea while Eldia watched over them.
It could be said that they managed to befriend the little flame spirit as she now listened to them, but not so much as she still flared occasionally, within limits, even checking with her big eyes if Lea or Davis was around. Calypsea was extremely careful with her actions that it was comical instead. They had fun with her.
Still, it wasn’t like Tia and Hailac were wasting time.
Instead, they mused cultivating normally was a waste of time.
After all, to cross a single level in the Immortal Emperor Stage by just circulating the cultivation method from a manual while absorbing average energy from immortal crystals would take around a hundred years or so. In their mind, it was way better to wait for a resource that could quickly increase their cultivation level.
But Hailac had a lot of gains since she learned a lot from Tia.
As a Mystic Diviner, it seemed like she was more of a supreme genius herself if Tia could be considered a calamitous menace. However, the more she interacted with Tia, the more her karmic burden increased as Tia shared with her untold techniques that shouldn’t be in her arsenal.
But they calculated it was well within their limits to be able to share and survive their tribulations.
Davis couldn’t tell what his enigmatic Tia was doing, but he knew she was careful and cunning enough to know the consequences. He knew that those who were Mystic Diviners— all commonly possessed wisdom, foresight, and the ability to comprehend consequences.
Therefore, he was not worried.
After they moved to a new city, the package that had been sent from the Opulent Shell Company’s branch also arrived.
“Holy bandits… they really stole from their own Treasury…”
Davis gawked as he looked at the two jade containers containing two precious items. One was the Infernal Haze Retribution Cloud Core, and the other was the Eternal Daynight Scripture containing the Empyrean Grade version. There was also the Transcendent version in that second jade container, possessing cultivation records all the way from the Transcendent Stage to the Autarch Stage.
“They… they’re truly diligent… I guess I can spare them…”
Davis remembered the three princes and the imperial adviser of the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm’s Daynight Family. He honestly didn’t think they could complete the daunting task handed over to them. It was above their pay grade. He felt that it was more like they would fail and get caught even if they tried stealing, but it seemed like he underestimated them.
“It’s said that they’ve been branded traitors and escaped to the Three-Headed Hydra Lower Realm. They must be thinking they saved the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm and their Daynight Family from a terrifying calamity, acting out the part of tragic heroes and feeling ashamed while secretly having pride for doing what they did, thinking that the heavens and the peasants must thank them for their efforts.”
Lea lightly spoke while elegantly drinking tea. She took a sip and placed the cup back on the table.
“Do you want to hear how they did it?” She asked Davis with a light smile.
Davis shook his head, “Who cares? I certainly don’t until it involves our names in there.”
Lea’s lips curled, “No, we aren’t involved, but the rumor spread that they have fallen for Zahara and are competing against each other to bring her to the core. It is utterly baseless and laughable. If such a core is swallowed by Zahara, then she would die rather than experience an increase in powers.”
“Must be their stupid brothers who are vying for the throne.” Davis chuckled, “Still, who cares? They’ve done their part, and I’ve released them from their death sentence. That’s all. Now…”
Davis placed a hand on his chin and wondered, “How should we go about increasing Calypsea’s cultivation? It is highly probable she will enter the Empyrean Stage upon consuming the Infernal Haze Retribution Cloud’s Core, but we don’t want her existence to be public yet. After all, once Calypsea enters the Empyrean Stage, she becomes a Realm Calamity existence and can completely eradicate a Lower Realm to dust within years. I don’t think the Celestial Transcendent would appreciate letting that kind of existence roam about…”
He frowned, “What do you think we should do, Lea?”
“…”
