FALLING IN LOVE WITH HIM - HER FIRST LOVE Novel

Chapter 35 - Hurting Each Other

Of course, she enjoyed the sweets, but he didn’t need to know. Hera wouldn’t want him to feel anymore smug than he already was. That arrogant Jerk has an ego as huge as a cow, so no need to boost it any further, right?

“Huh, it was just like you, deceiving. Nice and beautiful to look from outside while the inside is ugly, hard and bitter.” Hera said, trying to portray the feeling of distaste with her words as much as she could. Only she didn’t get the results she was anticipating. She wanted to insult him. But Hunter only laughed in response.

“Goddess, you’re only deceiving yourself and no one else. You and I both know, you’re lying. You’re right about the hard part, though,” he laughed again, and now Hera knew why. Thinking about that big Sweet Messenger, she blushed crimson red once again. Because somehow she guessed it, that the context of his conversation directly related to his manhood..

That big sweet messenger was a big sausage-shaped chocolate mousse covered in caramel. The moment she put it between her lips sucking it, a feathery caramel sweet melted away deliciously. Greedily she took a large bite, and before she could get lost in the smoothness of the mousse, something hard, cracked in between her teeth ruining the feeling of silky heaven in her mouth.

She had spit it out onto her palm, eyeing the disgusting remnant in distaste. Then only Hera had noticed the chocolate mousse filled with almonds, cashews, and other dry fruits in between. “Bloody, Satan. I fucking hate you for doing this to me,” she’d cursed him loudly then.

Hera hated dry fruits and especially in her sweet desserts. Hunter knew it, yet he purposely ruined the warm sweetness she was basking in before she found those nuts. She’d thrown it into the waste bin with an angry scowl.

“Sorry for ruining the chocolate mousse, Love. I know how much you hate dry fruits,” Hunter said, still trying to tame his amused laughter. His voice brought her back to the present, and she cringed at his earlier reference to his hard manhood. She remembered what he’d written inside that wrapper.

Hera could see the words dancing in front of her eyes even now.

“So many fruits to taste. Those juicy twin Apples, that fresh pink Strawberry and of course, that special little Cherry.

Oh, I’ll enjoy devouring those new fruity desserts. Can’t wait.

Anyways, it’s about damn time to taste and eat that little Cherry of yours.

P.S. I’m the STRAW to your BERRY.”

He’d even sketched a picture of a small cherry and a big straw penetrating the inside of that cherry.

“Now that you’ve read my messages, let’s talk about it, shall we?” Hunter asked, sounding very enthusiastic all of a sudden. Hera scoffed.

“There’s nothing to talk about, Hunter,” she said dismissively, but the Satan had no plans of ending her torment. “Oh, come on, Goddess. It’s as clear as day that you’re actually dying to talk about it. I know, you’re confused about some part of the message. So before you overwork your little brain straining yourself, let me brief it for you,” he offered generously.

Hera groaned in annoyance realising that he won’t let her off the hook, without grilling her for sure. He didn’t even need her confirmation to go ahead because he continued anyway. “I’m sure you’re aware of the twin apples I’m talking about, right?” He paused as though giving her time to think and grasp the hidden meaning.

‘Shameless Pervert, you’re talking about my breasts. I know.’

Hera’s face flushed with embarrassment. Meanwhile, Hunter continued with his absurd banter.

“You probably have no clue about the strawberry and cherry I’m hinting at, right, Goddess? Well, let me spell it for you. I’m talking about the fresh pinky strawberry and the little sweet cherry you’ve hidden in that little heaven between your thighs. Yep, that’s the heaven my hands, mouth, tongue and my cock are dying to explore,” he finished with a dreamy sigh.

As her heart thumped crazy, wild, Hera feared that it would burst out of her chest. Could he be any blunter with his intentions? His every word sounded so dirty that he made her speechless, literally. Her body felt feverishly hot, and she cursed inwardly for getting affected by his words.

“Goddess, I’m damn sure that your heart is content with bliss now that you’ve eaten so many sweets. It’s about damn time that I get to taste and eat my share of yummy dessert, especially my favourite fruit strawberry,” Hunter stated, and Hera’s jaw dropped dumbfounded.

‘Holy fuck! Somebody, please kill me.’

Hera dropped her head. Eyeing the floor, she prayed for it to open so that she could jump into it.

‘This morning couldn’t be any more pleasant, could it?’

She thought sarcastically.

“Goddess, you there? Did I make you speechless? Or am I scaring you, Love?” Hunter asked when Hera didn’t utter a word. Ironically, he sounded worried, and she couldn’t hide her resentment anymore. “No, Hunter, you didn’t. You should’ve known by now that I’ve stopped reacting to your bullshit long back,” she snapped. It’s her defence mechanism. She couldn’t let him know how much he still affected her.

Hunter laughed humorlessly before his angry voice echoed through the phone.

“Seriously, Love, you too should’ve known by now. I know you inside and out like a back of my hand. Touch your heart, and I bet on my life that it’s racing a marathon. But it shouldn’t be if you’ve stopped reacting to my shit. Just wait until I get access to your private parts and I’ll show you how much I can affect you,” he said, and Hera didn’t miss the unsaid promise lacing his words.

“In your dreams, Hunter. I would rather die than let you have your way with me. Because I despise you so much, words couldn’t measure the amount of hatred I feel for you. You’re not even worthy of my hate,” Hera said, cursing him for robbing her heart only to ruin it. Her eyes watered as emotions went out of control, and she breathed slowly trying not to show her weakness.

It hurt her so much to say those words out loud. Hunter didn’t say anything, and the painful silence stretched. Hera thought he hung up and checked the phone, but to her surprise, he’s still on the line.

Neither of them attempted to break the ice, and they let the silence stretch hiding their inner turmoil from each other. A beep in between disturbed the unpleasant silence. Hunter checked his phone only to see another incoming call. He couldn’t be any more thankful. For a moment, he felt as though someone invisible a guardian angel maybe heard his unsaid prayers. It was Bianca’s call.

Hunter couldn’t forget Hera’s hateful words.

‘I despise you so much. You’re not even worthy of my hatred.’

Her words kept replaying in his mind, torturing him to death. It hurt so much to hear her say that out loud, and at that exact moment, he wanted nothing more than to hurt her in return. He wanted her to know how much her words wound him. Every time she claimed to hate him, it felt like she’s stabbing a dagger into his heart mercilessly. He wanted her to feel his pain.

Bianca was the perfect weapon to attack Hera with because she hated Bianca with a passion. So without thinking any further, Hunter did what he wished to do, that was to hurt her.

“Bianca is calling me, Goddess, I’ll have to take it. Maybe she has something important to say, and I need to talk to Samantha as well. Her phone was unavailable when I called her. I’ll talk to you later, okay,” he said. The tone he used was so rude as though he couldn’t wait to get rid of Hera. He sounded annoyed and bothered even.

A sharp intake of breath was what he heard from the other side of the line. He smirked in satisfaction as he sensed Hera’s resentful longing.

‘Bull’s eye. It hit straight home.’

As soon as Hera heard him take Bianca’s name, she snorted and spat angrily at him. “Don’t even bother, Hunter. I don’t have all day either to waste my time talking to you. I have better things to do,” she said with the same disinterested tone he used for her. Hunter replied in an equally harsh tone. “Like what, Goddess? Burning with jealousy or cursing Bianca? Or maybe plotting to kill Samantha?” He asked, mocking her.

He knew that taunt would provoke her, and he succeeded.

“That Bitch and Witch can go to Satan’s hell. And jealousy is the last thing I would feel for you, Lucifer,” Hera said, trying her best not to show the hurt she felt. The stench of pure anger came out of her each word. He laughed, taunting her. “Sure, Goddess, I believe you. Why would you be jealous of Sam and me? Even If I fuck her in front of you, it won’t be a gut-wrenching feeling, and you won’t go puking all around, right?” He asked in a snarky tone.

Hera couldn’t breathe. For a moment, she felt as if her heart stopped beating, and she wished it would never beat again.

‘Why can’t we stop hurting each other? It hurts so bad, Hunter. Please stop.’
