“You have become very naughty.” Jiang Ming commented on Hong Ling’s sneaky acting.
“I have only learned from you.” Hong Ling giggled softly as she kept a frightful expression.
Since their conversation was barely audible and Lei Zichen was too worked up to focus on their conversation, he didn’t manage to listen to what Jiang Ming and Hong Ling were talking about.
However, Lei Zichen was only provoked further when he could tell Jiang Ming was ignoring him completely.
“Hmph, you are dead, my men are fast approaching this store now.” Lei Zichen bragged as he smiled wickedly.
“Yea, I heard your voice already so keep it shut when you need to call for backup, you pathetic fool.” Jiang Ming snorted as he held Hong Ling to the side and glanced around the first floor.
Lei Zichen was first afraid that Jiang Ming would try to run away but soon, he noticed that Jiang Ming was strolling around the area, almost like he was looking for some items to buy.
Where was the worried and panicked expression that he was searching for?.
Lei Zichen was confused as he expected Jiang Ming to crawl around this time to beg for mercy.
After all, the guards aren’t some friendly people, and once captured into a prison, the chance of dying there is very high.
Sometime later, a loud rumbling sound could be heard from afar and Lei Zichen’s expression brightened.
His eyes flickered in excitement as he hurriedly headed outside and shouting loudly.
Meanwhile, Jiang Ming proceeded to find a chair and grabbed it as he sat down with Hong Ling on his lap.
His calm demeanor shocked the other customers as they wondered if he had a loose screw in his mind or if he really had a more powerful background.
“Uncle Yong, it’s this person, he’s the one that offended me,” Lei Zichen soon came back shouting haughtily as he pointed his finger at Jiang Ming.
An armed guard was behind Lei Zichen and he looked about to be 40 years old but appearance can be deceiving due to cultivation so one can never assume their actual age.
The old man walked in as he glared at Jiang Ming and said, “I didn’t expect someone to be this arrogant where you can still calmly sit without paying respect.”
The crowd became shocked when they realized who Lei Zichen brought in as they all took a step back in fear.
“It’s Lei Yong, that Lei Zichen actually managed to bring him in.” A person in the crowd mumbled softly in disbelief.
“Wasn’t Lei Yong supposed to be outside the border defending? How come he is here now?” Another person exclaimed in confusion.
However, he quickly shut his mouth when he noticed the other armed guard that accompanied Lei Yong was glaring at him.
Meanwhile, Jiang Ming chuckled softly as he fools around with Hong Ling, disregarding the old man’s words.
“Uncle Yong, you see what I mean about him being disrespectful. Not only did he ignore you, but he also attacked me when I was defenseless,” Lei Zichen complained on the sideline.
He wanted the commotion to become bigger so that Jiang Ming could not escape from prison and the upcoming torture for his arrogance.
“Hmph, my dear nephew, you can rest assured as I will seek justice for you.” Lei Yong said in confidence as he turned around and ordered his guards.
“Men, apprehend him-“
Right when Lei Yong was about to command his guards, a female voice suddenly shouted.
“Who dares to touch a single hair of him?” It was a voice filled with a dominant tone that shocked Lei Yong for a second.
However, Lei Yong quickly snapped out of his daze as he sneered, “Who is that ignorant woman that dared to question the guard’s action? Show yourself.”
Lei Yong wasn’t going to allow some females to challenge his authority.
He was someone in command of the border and protected the Northern Continent from invaders.
He doesn’t fear anyone except for the imperial family that governs the Northern Continent.
Suddenly, a graceful figure appeared in front of everyone and when the crowd realized who it was, they all knelt down in reverence.
This display of respect shocked Lei Yong as he quickly turned around and his eyes soon filled with fear as he quickly knelt down.
“P-Princess Bing Tong,” Lei Yong then said with sweat trickling down his forehead.
The other guards that he brought along also knelt down in fear as they bowed before the princess of the Northern Continent.
Meanwhile, Lei Zichen was still like a block of wood, standing still without kneeling and when Lei Yong saw his nephew acting like that, he quickly grabbed his legs and pin him down to his knees.
It was only at this moment that Lei Zichen knew who the female was as he quickly banged his head and said, “P-Princess Bing Tong, please forgive my insolence.”
Who was he kidding?
His father and uncle may be powerful in the guards but compared to Bing Tong, he was nothing. Thus, Lei Zichen almost wet his pants when he realized who he was about to offend.
Bing Tong ignored Lei Zichen who was begging for forgiveness as her eyesight landed on Jiang Ming who was calmly sitting in a chair.
Bing Tong already knew about his arrogance and confidence back in the alchemist guild so she wasn’t surprised that he didn’t even try to kneel or bow before her.
“I didn’t expect to see you in the Central District, Jiang Ming.” Bing Tong then said, surprising the crowd for her sudden change of tone into one that would speak to an acquaintance.
“Well, I didn’t expect to see you here either. Your aura is pretty dominating since you were able to make that pathetic Lei Zichen kneel before you.” Jiang Ming teased as he held Hong Ling to get up as he walked toward Bing Tong.
After today, the crowd could have one question in their mind and it wasn’t just them but the entire people in the Central District.
Who is Jiang Ming?
