Chapter 1247 Part 1: Rhys learns the truth

Perry Family Estate:

Rhys Perry is waiting for Donna to arrive. At the same time, he is keeping an eye on the estate. He can see the workers and other staff inside the estate.

Just as he is thinking, he spots a shadow rushing towards him. Rhys recognizes the person. It is Donna.

Finally, his tense face relaxes. He can now ask about his son Charon.

Donna found someone hiding in the garden. She started moving towards the spot. When she got closer, she saw it was none other than Rhys Perry.

Her eyes flashed with complicated emotions. She then mustered the courage to meet him. She quickly arrived at the location and looked at him.

The blonde-haired man looked the same, but his eyes flashed with a glint. His gaze showed just how tired he actually was.

Rhys nodded to her before asking, “Donna, do you know where my son is?”

Donna’s heart skipped a beat.

Meanwhile,

The current family head, Cooper, is at his father’s residence. Fortunately, the Magic Lord Callen is here. Upon sensing his son, he appears outside.

“What is it?” Callen asks.

Suddenly, he frowns upon sensing familiar mana in the family estate.

Cooper wants to talk but stops when he sees his father’s expression.

Callen tries to discover the identity of the person. This mana is active outside the gate. Just as he tries to investigate further, he spots someone familiar heading to that place. He recognizes the wizard.

“Donna,” Callen utters.

Cooper is shocked. He thinks it is too late. Donna must have gone outside to meet his brother, which is why his father was able to sense her.

“Father, Rhys has come,” Cooper says.

Hearing this, the former head, Callen, stops investigating the mana and turns towards Cooper.

“What do you mean?” he asks back.

“Yes, Rhys has returned. Donna told me he was waiting outside the gate,” Cooper adds.

The face of the Magic Lord Callen changes drastically. Even though the person is his own son, he doesn’t have the courage to meet him.

They had lost his son. Callen doesn’t know how to comfort his own son. He knows well about Callen’s character. He won’t let go of this matter just like that.

“Let’s go and meet him before she reveals anything,” Callen says.

Swoosh!

Then both vanish from the spot and rush towards the estate gate.

On the other hand, Donna’s silence angers Rhys. Finally, things start to sink in his mind. Something must have happened, which she is afraid to tell him.

“What happened?”

“Are you going to continue this silence?”

“Where is my son? Answer me,” he starts scolding her. This time his voice alerts others in the vicinity. The voice is so loud that workers and staff think someone is fighting.

Hearing the scolding, blood drains from Donna’s face. She was hoping the current family head would rescue her.

A vein pops up in his forehead from anger. Rhys lets go of Donna, then turns towards the staff working in the field.

He can attack them and extract information easily. Rhys flies over to the field. Donna feels scared as well.

The staff working there are startled upon seeing the new blonde-haired man. They have failed to recognize him.

“My son!”

Before he could ask anything, he heard a loud voice from the sky. Rhys immediately recognizes the voice and stops bothering them.

The workers and staff vacate the place. In the blink of an eye, two people appear in front of him: Cooper Perry and Callen Perry.

Rhys’s eyes turn cold upon seeing his brother there.

Cooper sighs inwardly. He can feel his brother’s anger and pain. But there is no point in dwelling on the past.

Right now, there is a more pressing issue at hand.

Callen’s eyes are slightly moistened. He is not happy to see his son under these circumstances. He doesn’t know how to speak.

“Father, where is my son?” Rhys asks.

Hearing that, Callen’s expression turns stiff. He doesn’t know what to do, so he asks his son to come to his home right away.

About 25 minutes later,

Rhys and Donna follow the current and former family head from behind. Soon, they travel past many restrictions before arriving at the residence.

Then they walk into the wooden architectural building. It is Callen’s home. He then sits in the main chair.

“Come and take a seat,” Callen says.

Rhys and Donna sit in the chairs. Cooper stands behind his father, his eyebrows knitted. He knows the real problem might come at any moment.

“Father, where is my son?” Rhys asks again.

Donna is scared. The one who is raising the question is Rhys, but she is the one who is sweating.

Callen’s expression turns sad. His eyes fill with grief.

“Cooper, tell him,” Callen says.

“Father,” Cooper utters before meeting his father’s eyes. His father is serious. Then he finds a deep gaze filled with hatred from his own brother.

Cooper then sighs inwardly before saying, “Charon Perry was killed. His body has not been found yet. We don’t know about the killer. We are still looking for clues.”

Boom!

A monstrous mana bursts out from Rhys’s body. It immediately strikes Donna, who is sitting next to him.

Her body is sent crashing backward, smashing into the next room.

Callen and Cooper don’t feel anything, but the wooden architectural house starts to be destroyed under the monstrous coercion.

On the other hand, Cooper is shocked to the core. He feels his brother’s strength is one step away from reaching the supreme level. He has become stronger over the years.

Callen is surprised as well. If it were another occasion, he would have praised him with a smile. But right now, extreme grief fills their minds. They don’t know how to console Rhys.

Rhys has lost his mind. He is feeling extreme rage. The bottled-up emotions are coming out. If not for his father’s presence here, he would have already started attacking this place.
