Gravity Mage with Level-Up System Novel

Chapter 1250 Part 2: Rhys Perry comes to the True Elements Society

Leona then left the class. She started heading towards the visiting hall. After getting closer, she made a call to Elder Aaron Perry.

Aaron Perry answered the call. When he heard she wanted to meet him, he wasn’t surprised and agreed. He suspected it was related to Charon Perry. More importantly, she is the daughter of the family head.

He couldn’t deny her words, so he left his cabin right away. After ending the call, Leona sighed in relief. She knew that Aaron Perry didn’t know that Uncle Rhys Perry had returned.

She hoped that nothing bad would happen.

Shortly afterwards,

Aaron Perry arrived at the place. After seeing her standing near the visitor hall, he was surprised.

“Miss, what happened?” he asked.

“Elder, there is something important to discuss. Come with me.” After saying that, she turned around and walked towards the entrance.

Aaron frowned. What could they discuss in the visitor hall? If she wanted to discuss something, then there was his office cabin.

With a confused look on his face, he followed her inside.

Leona walked into the visitor hall and saw a blonde-haired middle-aged man waiting. She was stunned on the spot. She only remembered the young face of her uncle from long ago, before he had left the family.

Rhys Perry stood with his arms crossed and looked at her. The image of the young blonde kid flashed in his mind. He remembered the young Leona as well, but he was not in the mood for happy talk.

He came here to inquire about his son and the kid named Vincent Carey.

Before he could speak, he saw one more person entering the hall. Rhys recognized him. Aaron Perry was two magic levels lower than him at that time, but he didn’t expect Aaron Perry to catch up to him in these long years.

Aaron Perry was terrified on the spot. His eyes flashed with fear. The person he most wanted to avoid had returned. His heart was racing.

The words were not coming out of his mouth. He stood like a statue.

Rhys Perry saw that Aaron Perry was showing the same expression he had when he first saw him.

Suddenly, he removed the image of a level-9 wizard from his mind. Aaron Perry appeared to be the same.

“Uncle, it’s good to see you back,” Leona said at that moment. She took her time to come out of the initial shock.

“Lord, welcome back to our home,” Aaron Perry managed to greet him.

Rhys’s eyes turned serious.

He said, “I’m here to talk about my son’s death and the kid named Vincent Carey. I heard you two were with Charon before his mysterious disappearance.”

Hearing that, Leona nodded her head.

Aaron Perry was trying to calm his heart. The worst thing had happened. There was no escape now. He didn’t know whether Lord Rhys would believe his words or not.

Certainly, he wouldn’t take action against Leona, but he didn’t think he would be safe.

Leona said, “We were having a meeting.” Your journey continues at My Virtual Library Empire

After saying that, she continued to explain how it was a normal meeting. Then they both decided to stay in the Perry hotel without telling each other.

Later, she met Vincent Carey out of nowhere. It was then she had decided to inform Aaron Perry and requested his help to capture Vincent Carey then and there.

But Charon Perry came late to the picture. He didn’t meet Vincent Carey in person. They had stood outside Vincent’s hotel room, waiting for Aaron Perry’s return.

When Aaron Perry arrived, he saw that the hotel room was empty. Vincent Carey had escaped. It was then Charon Perry proposed to stay in that room to see whether Vincent Carey would come back.

She had even come at midnight to check on Charon Perry. At that time, Charon Perry was asleep. It was only half an hour later that they found out he was missing.

Only the next day did she learn that Charon was dead.

Aaron Perry had been listening silently and didn’t find any falsehood in Leona’s words. Her heartbeat was calm.

Rhys furrowed his eyebrows. He nodded to her before turning towards Aaron Perry.

“What about you?”

“Tell me from the beginning,” Rhys asked in a cold tone.

Aaron Perry was dumbfounded. She just told him what had happened. Then why was he asking him to repeat the same thing? But he found a cold gaze on him, which further made him scared.

He then started to tell the story from his side. Leona saw how scared Aaron Perry was. She knew her Uncle Rhys had suffered serious injuries a long time ago.

Because of that, he hadn’t been able to become a Supreme Wizard. Now she thought that his strength had grown. She could see how scared Elder Aaron was.

As time passed, Rhys’s gaze never left him. He could observe his heartbeat.

A few minutes later,

When Aaron Perry finished saying everything, he broke into a cold sweat. He didn’t know whether Lord Rhys believed him or not.

He feared that his earlier assumption might become true.

Leona was tense as well. She didn’t know when was the last time she had this feeling. Even before her father, she hadn’t felt any pressure.

Rhys realized that both of their statements were true. His son Charon had mysteriously disappeared. Something had happened in that short time gap.

Because the death of Charon occurred in that time gap, like his father had said, someone had kidnapped his son and killed him shortly after that.

Anger rose in his heart, but he quickly controlled it. Then he looked at them and asked about Vincent Carey.

“Did you find out why that kid was there?”

“What was he doing in the Perry Family Hotel?” Rhys asked.

Leona replied, “He was there to explore the Virez City. The reason he chose the Perry Hotel, I’m not sure.”

“Yes, lord. We tried to gather information, but there were no results,” Aaron said.

Rhys’s eyes flickered. There are wizards who have unique magic. They could even find the smallest clues. But he thought it was too late for that action.

His family had brought many wizards, and they had failed as well.
