Soo Yin walked on the sidewalk while sticking her left hand in her shirt pocket.
It was night, and the snow made her body freezing. Luckily, she brought warm clothes this morning.
An old car approached Soo Yin who was busy holding out a hand under the falling snow.
“Soo Yin, come in!” A man invited her who was the same age as her.
That man was Jae-Hwa, who had feelings for Soo Yin since they were in school. But, he never expressed his feelings to her.
Soo Yin turned around. She thought it was Dae Hyun who approached her.
She took a deep breath when she saw Jae-Hwa. If only she still lived in the rented house, she would gladly be taken home with him.
“Thank you, but … but … I don’t want to bother you,” Said Soo Yin while scratching her head.
“It wasn’t a hassle at all, I … I’m glad to take you home,” Said Jae-Hwa nervously.
His heart was pounding every time he met the girl.
“Okay, I can come with you to the front.” Soo Yin immediately ran towards the front passenger side.
“Are you still living in the rented house lately?” Jae-Hwa asked as he started driving the car.
“Ah … no, I … I’m staying at my brother’s house now,” Soo Yin stammered. It was impossible to tell him the truth.
“Where?” Jae-Hwa asked, turning his head to look at Soo Yin.
“I’ll tell you later where I get off,” Said Soo Yin.
“How is your father? I heard from Jean that he has been allowed to go home,” Jae-Hwa asked.
“Ah, yes. Dad had recovered a few days ago,” Soo Yin replied.
“If you need help, you can contact me. This must be hard for you,” Said Jae-Hwa while looking at Soo Yin’s beautiful bead.
Jae-Hwa found out about what happened to Soo Yin’s family.
“Thank you,” Said Soo Yin with a smile.
“By the way, in a few months, there will be university admissions. Are you planning to register one?” Soo Yin asked.
“If I have enough money, I will register this year. How about you then?” Jae-Hwa asked.
Jae-Hwa had lived with his grandmother since his childhood. He had been working part-time to pay for his school fees since he was high school even though he was one of the smart students.
Unlike Soo Yin, who was lazy and liked to skip school. The teachers mostly didn’t like her.
“I … I don’t know yet,” Said Soo Yin softly. She sometimes felt sad whenever she saw her school friends going to university.
If this had not happened, maybe she could be like them.
“Hopefully we can register this year. I want us to always be together,” Said Jae-Hwa unconsciously.
“What do you mean with always together?” Soo Yin asked as she didn’t understand.
“Ah, that … we are in the same high school. It would be nice if we entered the same university too,” Jae-Hwa stuttered.
“How about we go to movies next Saturday?” Jae-Hwa continued.
“What a coincidence, Jean and I will go together next Saturday. You can join us,” Said Soo Yin with a smile.
“Okay.” Whereas Jae-Hwa hoped that it would be just the two of them. The three of them must be very happy.
Soo Yin asked Jae-Hwa to drop her off at the intersection towards Pyeongchang-dong.
She said that her brother’s house passed through a narrow alley that made it impossible to ride a car.
Luckily, there was still a taxi passing in the middle of the snow.

Pyeongchang-dong Villa,
“Soo Yin, where is your husband?” Kim Nam asked when he saw that Dae Hyun didn’t come with his daughter.
“Yes? He’s … he’s in the middle of a meeting … a meeting with his business partners,” Said Soo Yin, trying to find an excuse.
“You are his secretary plus his wife. You should follow him wherever he goes,” Said Kim Nam.
“Dad, he told me to go home. I’d better wash up first,” Said Soo Yin immediately stepped up to go upstairs.
She didn’t even know where that man was. So, how could she possibly follow him?
It was eleven o’clock at night, but there was no sign of Dae Hyun coming home.
Soo Yin got up from the sofa then walked towards the balcony.
“Where is he? There’s no car either.” Soo Yin poked her head to look at the car garage, which was still empty.
Soo Yin lied back on the sofa, turning on the television because her eyes didn’t feel sleepy at all.
She was curious when Dae Hyun would come home. She unconsciously bit her lower lip.
“Why am I thinking about him? He must be with another woman,” Soo Yin muttered irritatedly.
She covered her head with a pillow, trying to close her eyes so she could sleep.
