I Am A Notorious Hidden Boss In The Alternate World Novel

Chapter 3 - Get Me Out Of Here!

“Boss?”

Polemos asked again.

Albion glanced at Polemos and reviewed the Dark Emperor’s information and memory of the said person.

Polemos, an orphan, adopted and raised by the Dark Emperor to become one of his most trusted generals and right-hand man.

Representing one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, he was named Polemos, the War Demon, and the leader of Future Tech, a sub-organization in charge of R&D for the Ashura Group.

As the big boss behind Ashura Group, the Dark Emperor never dealt with any managerial work and left everything to his four Horsemen to handle. In order words, Polemos controlled all of Ashura Group’s state-of-the-art technology and weaponry.

“I’m fine.”

A cold and detached voice came out of Albion’s mouth. This was the type of response the Dark Emperor would usually give to his four Horsemen.

In the eyes of the Dark Emperor, the Four Horsemen were only tools for revenge, nothing more, nothing less.

Even so, the four Horsemen were all orphans raised by the Dark Emperor. Everything they had was given to them by the Dark Emperor. They had both great respect and fear for him.

“That’s a relief.”

“Is this pillar of light supposed to take us to the Nine Divine Heavens? Are we going to the Nine Divine Heavens right away, Boss?” Kasin asked.

Nine Divine Heavens… Nine Divine Heavens… The holy land of cultivation and the place the Dark Emperor was once known as the Ashura Emperor, ruler of the Divine Ashura Heaven.

Shit, isn’t that where the Ashura Emperor’s crazy husband-killer wife is? There will be tons of crazy strong people there. He’ll definitely be slaughtered if he goes there!

“Why the hell would I want to go there?” Albion blurted.

Ah? Did he just say that out loud?

The unexpected response stunned the four generals. While Polemos and Kasin were merely stunned, the other two Horsemen had a brief glimmer of gloominess.

“Err, I guess it’s fine not to go right away.” Kasin chuckled awkwardly and gazed at the pillar of divine light. “It does not seem like it will go away anytime soon. We can make ample preparations for the journey…”

Indeed, it appears that the pillar of light will not disappear unless Albion enters it. Throughout history, cultivators had always chosen to reach the Nine Divine Heavens after reaching the True Immortal stage.

What will happen if he does not choose to enter the pillar of light? Will it continue to linger around indefinitely until he does? Will something come out from the other side?

These questions that even the Dark Emperor did not have the answers to.

Since the True Immortal stage was the highest one can reach in the mortal plane, doesn’t that mean he was almighty?

Albion was a little excited, just thinking about it.

Absolute power? Endless wealth? Limitless lifespan? Given a second chance in life, he was prepared to work his way up from the bottom. Who knew that he would shoot straight to the peak of life?

‘Fortunately, this world is almost a carbon copy of my last world. An alternate world, perhaps? Internet, anime, manga, web novels. Thank god these things still exist. I don’t think I can live without these things.’

Albion filtered through the memory of the Dark Emperor patiently at his own pace. There was far too much information for his small mortal soul to ingest at once.

‘Oh? This is rather interesting.’

Albion was immediately intrigued by his findings.

‘Ever since the Dark Emperor was betrayed by his empress, he neither touched another woman nor touch himself. Just like that, he lived a bachelor’s life for 10 thousand years? I’m impressed. This goes beyond the realms of just being a bachelor. Old mate was a 10 thousand-year-old wizard.’

As a typical trash of society, Albion would watch some hentai and jerk off at least once a day. The only time he would try to abstain was during NNN, also known as No Nut November.

Nevertheless, failing by the third day was to be expected. It would be enough for him to feel impressed if he can abstain for a week!

Coincidently, today’s date was also the third of November.

“Hmm?”

The sudden sound of helicopters was heard.

“Boss, the appearance of heavenly light has attracted a lot of attention. Since we are not entering the Nine Divine Heavens, we should quickly leave to avoid the media.” Polemos said.

Albion nodded.

Huh?

‘Why is the floor getting closer?’

Thud!

Albion faceplanted into the ground with his eyes widened. The trifling fall was not enough for him to feel pain with his True Immortal Body, but his body was refusing to move!

‘What’s happening? Why can’t I move?’

Faced with an unfamiliar situation, Albion entered full panic mode. His powerful heartbeat loudly like drumming monkeys that even the four Horsemen could hear.

“Boss! What’s wrong?”

The four Horsemen were surprised. Polemos and Kasin showed concern, but Thanatos and Una wore doubtful looks.

Albion tried to calm his heart while his mind raced for answers.

‘C’mon, Albion, think! If the Dark Emperor’s memories cannot give you an answer, then use your own accumulated knowledge! You did not spend all that time reading cultivation novels for nothing!’

When he thought like that, Albion became surprisingly calm. Do not underestimate the dao of reading. He was an expert in this field.

‘I have read over a thousand cultivation novels… unknown to boredom, nor known to—Ahem, okay. That is enough.’

There was a bit of nonsense, but he managed to come up with an answer after comparing useless knowledge from cultivation novels with information from the memories of the Dark Emperor.

When powerful cultivators reincarnate into weak bodies, they instantaneously gain perfect control over their new bodies due to their powerful souls.

By that logic, the reason his body felt as heavy as lead in water and refuse to budge was that his soul was too weak to control such a powerful body. It was an incompatibility between body and soul!

When he arrived at this conclusion, Albion wanted to cry. He was basically crippled. Was he supposed to be stuck like this forever? It was not supposed to be like this! It was unacceptable!

‘Giving me all this wealth, power, and time, but not letting me move as I wish. Isn’t this forcing me to live the ultimate shut-in life?!’

Also, if he cannot move, he cannot fap. It seemed like he was getting priorities backwards but this was related to his happiness!

No, wait!

He was able to move a bit before. The problem should not be completely unsalvageable. There was still room to maneuver.

But, for now…

“Help, I cannot move! Quickly get me out of here!”
