I Am A Notorious Hidden Boss In The Alternate World Novel

Chapter 47 - Don't You Think You Owe Me Something?

After Albion and Klein Seymour left the exploded area on Coral Street, Estelle Xiao patted her chest with relief while breaking into cold sweats.

“Oh dear, that was too scary. I can’t believe I would run into that bad person again after clashing with him last night!” Estelle Xiao softly muttered to herself.

She had been shortly silly in her heart when the person turned around. However, thanks to her quick thinking, she was able to hide her true emotion and fooled the person into thinking that she did not recognize the person.

Recalling how she briefly saw the splattered head in the alleyway, she could tell that the person was ruthless—not to mention he was too strong for her to face head-on.

What kind of dog sh*t luck did she have to run into the same person the following day after she been temporarily suspended due to the very same person?

‘Is this guy my nemesis? I saw him, but I cannot even do anything to him!’ Estelle Xiao gnashed her teeth, feeling disgruntled and a bit of helplessness.

Unexpectedly, that person was also connected to the Seymour family! Was the Seymour family finally going to dip their hands into the underworld matters? What’s going to become of Silvercove City in the future?

After a moment, she furrowed her brows when she felt the side of her waist being heavier. It was coming from her holster.

“Huh?”

Estelle’s eyes gradually widened when she pulled the black handgun out and felt its weight. She proceeded to take out the magazine and check the black bullets inside.

“Isn’t this my gun?!” Estelle Xiao shrieked with excitement.

She noticed some bullets were missing, but that was not important. What was important is that she got her handgun back. She will no longer be temporarily suspended from duty once she informs her superiors that she retrieved her assigned weapon.

Phantasmium was expensive, but the manufacturing process of Phantasmium-transformed Bluefire Crystal Bullets was not that costly.

In fact, the energy inputted into the transformation process was more costly than the Phantasmium material itself.

After all, only a tiny amount of Phantasmium is used to coat a thin layer over the bullets’ tip. Otherwise, the mass production of these black bullets would not have been possible.

“Seems like that person still has some good inside him!” Estelle chimed happily while inspecting her handgun like it was her precious.

“What are you yapping about, Estelle?” Senior Officer Luo asked, returning with Officer Sara by his side.

Estelle Xiao turned around and said pleasantly, “Senior Luo, Sara, you’re both back! Look what I got back!”

“Oh? You got your gun back? That’s great news—but how?”

“Never mind that. Did you two ended up finding the culprit behind the explosion and shooting?” Estelle Xiao asked more importantly.

Officer Sara shrugged while saying, “As you can see, we did not catch anyone. Also, no leads. No nothing.”

“Only the Bloodmoon Gang would dare to act this atrociously in Silvercove City. I’d say we storm their hideout to find the evidence and arrest them all!” Estelle Xiao said grudgingly with a clenched fist.

“Shh! Quiet down! Remember these words carefully; you can eat whatever you want, but you must not speak whatever you want. If you do so, you will live longer.” Senior Officer Luo lectured.

At the same time, Officer Sara sniggered, “If you want to die, you can raid their hideout alone. Don’t drag us down with you!”

“The Bloodmoon Gang is not something small ranking officers like us with no real power can handle. You know what the higher-ups are like.” Senior Officer Luo sighed in a low voice.

Some time passed since Albion and Klein Seymour left Coral Street. During this time, Klein Seymour had purchased new pants and a new smartphone for Albion before helping him open a bank account.

However, because opening the bank account required confidential information, they were forced to wait for William Seymour to arrive at the bank with the paperwork.

Sometime later, a man in his late 40’s with some resemblance to Klein Seymour entered the bank while carrying a black suitcase.

After taking a moment to spot Albion and Klein Seymour in a corner, the person made his way over.

“Thank god, you’re safe, Big Brother.” William Seymour greeted before giving Klein Seymour a brotherly hug.

Afterward, he turned to greeted Albion with a handshake, “Hello, I am William Seymour. You must be Young Master Albion, right? It is a pleasure to finally meet you. I’ve heard much about you, and I’m grateful for what you have done for our family.”

“It was nothing much.”

Albion accepted the handshake and noticed William Seymour had a pretty firm and steady grip.

“Did you bring the identification papers?” Klein Seymour asked.

William Seymour nodded and opened his suitcase before pulling a few pieces of paper and passing it over to Klein Seymour.

Afterward, they resumed the procedure for opening a bank account with the bank clerk.

Nevertheless, the procedure required an ID photo of Albion, which he did not have yet. As such, William Seymour pulled some strings with the higher management personnel within the bank to settle the matter.

William Seymour did not speak much during their meeting afterward. He left shortly after taking a photo of Albion to settle the final issue with the ID Card.

“Let me show to your home, Young Master Albion.” Klein Seymour offered not long after William Seymour left.

Albion nodded.

He followed Klein Seymour back to the white car, which he later found out to be called a Civic Adnoh. He silently swore that someone really did went back in time and cast an inverse spell—Ahem, messed with the name.

Sometime later, they arrived at the entrance of the gated residential community on Skylark Hills. The security guards opened the gates and let them drive inside after Klein Seymour showed his face.

They drove past several houses and arrive at the mansion situated on the very top of the hill. It was a very grand 2-story home.

Albion could not estimate its market value, but it was surely priced higher than any of the other luxury homes on Skylark Hills!

“What do you think, Young Master Albion? Do you like it? It was a gift from a friend—an expensive gift as that. However, my wife is not used to such a luxury home, so we can only settle for the more humble 2-story home you’ve seen previously.”

“It’s awe-inspiring. I like it.”

“That’s good to hear.”

Shortly after, Klein Seymour helped Albion brought the shopping bags into the home before passing him the key to the mansion, the property deed under his name, and all the related papers regarding his identity.

“It’s been a long and eventful day, Young Master Albion. How about I leave you to enjoy your rest now? I’m still concerned about my family.” Klein Seymour said after checking the time.

It was 3:00 PM.

There were two hours and a half left before Eleanor clocked off from work. He intended to pick up his daughter from work, even though she drove her own car to work—a more expensive car at that.

Albion shook his head and said, “I believe you are still the biggest target in the enemy’s eyes. You should practice the Earth-Shattering Fist diligently. Although you have become stronger as a Hunter, you are still not immune to bullets.”

In fact, no one was immune to Phantasmium-transformed bullets.

“Give your family a call again if you are worried. We can head out after I change.” Albion added.

Klein Seymour was pleasantly surprised and asked, “Are you sure, Young Master Albion?”

“Yeah, I don’t plan to retire the day so early. I have plans for tonight.” Albion nodded before he said, “Wait for me here.”

Shortly after, he headed into a spare room with his shopping bags and changed into a black suit. At the same time, he called mentally, ‘Goldfinger.’

[Yes, host?]

‘Don’t you think you owe me something?’ Albion said.

[???]

Goldfinger was confused.
