Chapter 3: Card Drawing Ability (1)
I can extract a skill card based on the person’s abilities? This must be my golden finger rebirth…
The youth did not further delve into such thoughts and immediately extracted the 「 Beginner English Proficiency 」skill card. One thought and three second’s worth of time was all he needed to greet his friend in success.
“Kyle, are you alright? Your face looks very pale. Do you want to go see the military doctor?”
“It’s alright. I’m fine. Just a bit sleepy is all…. not fully awake yet, you know?” The youth strung a few words together, sounding fluent in native tongue.
“Alright.” His friend smiled in relief, showing his pearly white teeth in view. Then, he handed the youth a cup of water and one red pill. “Kyle, swallow this medicine first.”
The youth nodded and swallowed the red pill whole and drank a mouthful of water. He let out a sigh of relief thereafter.

“I feel a bit better but… I do feel a ‘lil bit doozy.” The youth smiled sheepishly. “Just to confirm, where is this place?”
His friend looked at the youth who donned a serious look. Baffled, the youth’s friend let out a heartfelt laugh.
“Kyle, where has your head gone off to? Have you hit your head? Ha-ha-ha!” His friend joked and wiped the droplet of tear from the corner of his left eye. “But anyways, we’re at the military recruit training base.”
“Kyle… I see…” The youth muttered.
He now came to know the identity of this youth was named Kyle.
From now on, I am Kyle and Kyle is me…
“Wait…” Kyle parted his mouth, lips forming the shape of an ‘o or that of a fish as his head tilted sideways, slightly confused. “Training base?”
“Yes, the training base. We’re here as a military recruit. We’ve only trained for a day long so far. Maybe it’s the inclination of the weather. It was too hot and humid that you ended up fainting during a high-intensity endurance training.”
So I had a heat stroke… maybe this body isn’t very good at adapting.
He suddenly thought of something and quickly slapped his friend’s thin shoulder. “Right, I have a question I wish to ask! Do you know Captain America, Iron Man, and Hulk?! Answer fast! This question is of utmost importance!”
It was imperative he confirms the theory that he crossed through the Marvel Universe.
“Kyle… don’t shake me so hard.” Kyle’s friend rolled his eyes, frail and thin shoulder almost shattering to piece.
“Ah, sorry…” Kyle stopped immediately and smiled lightly.
His friend looked at him and replied slowly. “I really don’t know anything those people. Captain America? I haven’t met that officer yet. I guess you’ve already seen him?”
“You don’t know…?”
Fuck!
Kyle frowned, but just as quick as he slipped into a spiral of depression, a light bulb lit up in his mind and hurriedly questioned his blonde-haired friend. “What time is it right now?! No, I mean the year! What’s the year?!”
“Kyle, I really think you hit your head. Did you fall too hard?” His friend itched his temple and opened his mouth to that the shape of a fish.
The hell, I’m asking something serious. Fucking stop fooling around! My god!
“Just tell me.” Kyle smiled lightly.
“You’re acting weird, Kyle.” His friend shook his head. “But the year is 1943 and we’re in the middle of September. Oh, fall season just began.”
Seriously?!
“1943…” Kyle gasped. “To think I actually crossed here during the Second World War…”
But even he crossed through this world during World War II, there was no way the Avengers existed at this time… well… except for one.
“I have one more question.” He paused. “Is there a man named Steve around here?”
“Steve?” Said his blonde-haired friend, eyes widening in surprise.
“Yes. Steve. Steve Rogers.” Kyle nodded. He knew the First Avenger was Captain America who lived during the Second World War.
“Kyle, what are you talking about?” His friend was shaken back and looked at Kyle who seemed to have gone mad. “You and I know this person?”
Mother of God… quit playing around and tell me!
Kyle fumed inwardly.
Under Kyle’s condescending gaze, his friend pointed to his nose and smiled sheepishly.
“Kyle, I am Steve Rogers.”
