Chapter 17 - Mystical Garden

The Mystical Garden that Qin Yi saw in the Treasure Pavilion was indeed shaped like a crystal ball, but it was partially broken.

He dared to say that it looked more like junk rather than a treasure. However, as much as broken it was, it still had a value equivalent to 1000 merit points.

Therefore, he did not dare to underestimate it.

However, compared to the junk that he saw in the Treasure Pavilion, this Mystical Garden in front of him right now is like a real piece of treasure.

It was a complete crystal ball without the slightest crack at the surface. Unfortunately, Qin Yi could not figure out what was inside the crystal ball as the only thing he could see were thick clouds roaming inside; it looks like the cloud is hiding something inside.

Qin Yi held the crystal ball in his hand as he was meditating about something.

Gradually, he tilted his head in bafflement.

This Mystical Garden… somehow, he could remember its name but not its grade.

“Did I miss it?” Qin Yi whispered in doubt.

How could he miss something this important?

——But that was also understandable since he extracted it along with the other treasures. Perhaps he read it too fast that he forgot about the Mystical Garden’s grade.

“Nevermind, but why does it suddenly become like this? This is looks like the new version of the old Mystical Garden.”

Qin Yi suddenly fell into contemplation.

“Now that I mentioned it, all of the treasures I got from the Treasure Pavilion looked perfectly intact, and they did not look like second-hand or used items. In fact, they were more like newly-produced treasures. Is it possible that the system recreates the extracted treasure to a new version?” Qin Yi thought of this possibility.

If the heavily damaged version of Mystical Garden was a peak Normal Grade Artifact, what grade was currently the restored version of Mystical Garden?

Perhaps a Spirit Grade Artifact?

Thinking about this, suddenly, his eyes gleaming with joy.

However, this is only Qin Yi’s speculation; whether it becomes Spirit Grade Artifact or remains as Normal Grade Artifact is still uncertain.

Therefore, he needed to prove it personally.

He remembered that he extracted a particular book from Elder Sister Beauty’s desk. The book was entitled “The Treasures Catalog – The First Floor of the Treasure Pavilion.”

That book probably recorded the names and descriptions of every treasure on the first floor of the Treasure Pavilion.

He might be able to get an answer regarding an artifact called Mystical Garden from the book.

Qin Yi immediately used his consciousness to search for the book among the piles of treasures. Good thing it was not mixed up with the martial arts books that even he got dizzy just from looking at them.

It didn’t take long until he finally found that book. It was a thick book, and on the cover was inscribed with the reasonably long words “The Treasures Catalog – The First Floor of the Treasure Pavilion..”

Qin Yi slowly opened the book and saw that on the first page was a picture of a specific treasure; next to it was written the name, grade, type, value, and a brief description of the origin and function of the treasure.

Name: Copper Sword

Type: Artifact

Grade: Normal Grade Artifact

Value: 50 Merit Points

Description: It was brought by a sect disciple and exchanged for merit points. This sword only has advantages in sharpness and flexibility.

After reading it briefly, Qin Yi immediately turned the next page.

Name: Iron Plate Armor

Type: Artifact

Grade: Normal Grade Artifact

Value: 100 Merit Points

Description: It was brought by a sect disciple and exchanged for merit points. This armor could fend off full attacks of the Second Stage of Qi Condensation Realm cultivators.

These early pages mainly record treasures with low grades, little value, and low significant utility, and the registrar does not even bother to investigate their origins.

Realizing this, Qin Yi didn’t waste his time looking at those low-grade treasures, and he went straight to the middle page to the end of the book.

After spending quite some time flipping through the pages, he finally found the record of the treasures worth 1000 merit points.

Name: Frozen Heart Sword

Type: Artifact

Grade: Normal Grade Artifact

Value: 1000 Merit Points

Description: It was made of Ice King Python’s scales; it was a Rank 2 Magical Beast that lives in Extreme Snow Land. Frozen Heart Sword was refined by a Rank 2 Refiner of the Sleeping Dragon Sect into a peak Normal Grade Artifact. This sword emitted an icy aura, and its cold energy could slowly immobilize anyone hit by its slashes.

As expected from the peak Normal Grade Artifact, the description recorded was far more complete than the other treasures. It had comprehensive origins, and Qin Yi could even tell the ability of Frozen Heart Sword through these records.

And then, he expectanly flipped the next page…

Name: Demonic Blood Sword

Type: Artifact

Grade: Normal Grade Artifact

Value: 1000 Merit Points

Description: This sword came from a Peak Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm cultivator named Blood Fiend. He did many evil things, especially killing innocent people. He was eventually killed after being hunted by a Sleeping Dragon Sect’s inner disciple, and his sword was brought back to the Treasure Pavilion to exchange for merit points. This sword has the ability to absorb blood; the more blood it absorbs, the more power it can unleash.

“No wonder I felt uncomfortable when I saw this sword in the Treasure Pavilion…”

This sword might absorb too much blood, resulting in heavy evil energy and resentment that could even make anyone staring at it feel uncomfortable.

“I wonder why the Treasure Pavilion did not ban it? Were they not afraid that another Blood Fiend would emerge after a certain disciple acquired this sword?”

Although he said it, he did not mind using this sword. Of course, the one he means was Demonic Blood Sword that he currently had, not the Demonic Blood Sword in the Treasure Pavilion.

After all, Demonic Blood Sword in Qun Yi’s hand is only an ordinary sword with thick blood color that emits pure blood energy. It still has not been contaminated with evil energy and resentment from the innocent.

As long as Qin Yi used it right, he would never fall into the evil path and end up tragically like the Blood Fiend.

Turning from the Demonic Blood Sword page, he slowly read the treasure records on the next page. However, when he read it, his expression gradually shifted from expectant to surprise and then finally to joy.

Name: Mystical Garden

Type: Artifact

Grade: Normal Grade Artifact

Value: 1000 Merit Points

Description: Mystical Garden was obtained five hundred years ago from the Ruin of the Medicine Valley. It was originally a Spirit Grade Artifact, and it was suspected that the area of the space in it reaches more than 20 hectares of land for growing various plant types of heaven and earth material. It was found in a badly damaged state, the reason being unknown, its grade was demoted to Normal Grade Artifact, and it could not be restored to its original state. The current Mystical Garden could only be used as an ordinary storage artifact containing 15 cubic meters of space.
