I Quit Being The Male Lead’s Rival Novel

Chapter 41

Chapter 41

The Circumstances of a Trivial Villain (3)

“The slave black market owner here is Reid’s best friend. He must have been hiding here.”

“Oh, I see! So can we just sneak in and find Reid?”

Aaron frowned and asked.

He didn’t even ask how I knew this place.

I must have been on good terms with Reid from the outside, so he seemed to think that I was a similar human being.

“So what are your plans to find that person?”

“For now, we have to pretend we came to buy a slave. Anyways, here we have to wear masks to keep each other’s identity a secret, so we won’t have any problems entering.”

“It’s really amazing that I can do something illegal as soon as I find my sister.”

Aaron replied excitedly.

“If I hadn’t grown up in the Duke of Wades, I would’ve quickly become evil because I would’ve had more fun… No, I cannot be tainted by my sister.”

“That’s a good thing.”

I sighed once and continued.

“Anyways, we’re going to get the owner of this place. And if he doesn’t tell me where Reid is, I’ll have to kill him.”

“It’s just plain kidnapping and intimidation. All right.”

Aaron hesitated and added.

“But this is a scene of obvious illegality, so shouldn’t we be accused of it? As a member of the honorable knights of Wades, I feel a sense of responsibility…”

“I will file a complaint tomorrow.”

I said clearly.

After all, Ian, Robert, and Cessianne were going to destroy them all tonight.

It was enough for us to act independently.

Well, maybe we would run into each other, but I didn’t know.

“Then where do you get the mask?”

“This is a general store. Buy it here.”

“Uh… It’s pretty lame, isn’t it?”

“It’s not like we’re overturning this place… It’ll be enough to deal with one person quietly, so it’s okay to be a little relaxed.”

So, Aaron and I bought masks at the general store.

Of course I had no money.

I poked Aaron in his side at the checkout counter, and he took out his wallet and paid.

After putting on our masks, we found the secret door behind the general store building and knocked on it.

“Who showed?”

With a blunt voice, an old woman wrapped around a twisted apron opened the door.

I said the code quickly, as in the original text.

“Blue!”

“Come on in.”

The old woman suddenly straightened her back and politely put her hands together.

Aaron whispered as he entered the secret passage.

“Isn’t the password simpler than I thought?”

“It’s not that simple… The color of that old woman’s apron changes from time to time. It means it’s not a place you can just easily sneak in.”

“Oh oh.”

Aaron could not hide his admiration and continued.

“It’s the first time I’ve been to such a bad place, so I’m a little excited. It was amazing to have a hidden gangster sister.”

It was an admiration that was difficult to answer.

“I guess I mean, it feels like the horizon of my life is broadening?”

In fact, it was my first time coming here too, but I didn’t think anyone would believe it even if I tried to make excuses since I knew the password.

It almost feels like I was the original and not the reincarnation.

‘This password… Robert was able to find out only after a long search.’

Today, the male lead, Ian, and the female lead, Cessianne, meet for the first time.

Cessianne, who had just become an apprentice saint, received a message secretly sent to her temple by Robert’s men a few days ago.

[I’m trying to stop black magic, but it may take some divine power. We’re recruiting people with good faith who want to be helpful.]

Of course, Robert never revealed his identity so as not to get caught by anyone else.

She was the only person in the temple whom Robert’s men contacted, because she had good faith and she was also naive since she had just become an apprentice.

Without revealing who he was or who was behind him, his attendant told Cessianne where to head to and how to get in.

With the purpose of, ‘go and help those in need.’

Objectively, Cessianne made a rather reckless choice because she was obsessed with the phrase ‘help those in need’.

It wasn’t a loss at all for Robert, but it was something that had to be done.

Besides, he had been suspicious of the temple for a long time, so he thought it would be better if someone from Prince Carlon’s side could catch it, and then he proceeded with the plan.

As soon as Ian and Robert entered the slave market, they couldn’t contain their anger and were in danger of being caught.

Ian was then hurt from black magic while fighting.

Then, miraculously, Cessianne appeared and rescued him.

She saw Ian being injured by black magic and immediately reasoned that he was a ‘good person who tried to stop black magic’.

So Ian, Robert, and Cessianne entered the slave auction house.

Slave auctions took place in several different secret chambers.

Originally, Ian and Robert planned to separate.

Cessianne decided that there might be a need for further treatment of Ian, so she entered the auction room with Ian.

They ended up upsetting the slave auction house, and failed to arrest Morriett.

However, while they were together at an auction, the two became close and fell in love.

‘Whatever the original is, I don’t care. All I have to do is find and kill Morriett.’

He was Reid’s best friend.

So I started walking down the secret passage with Aaron.

It had been a long time since I met him, but it was true that I was not yet familiar with the younger brother who was discovered to be related to me today.

I was awkward, so I started pouring out questions that would be asked by relatives I hadn’t  seen in a while on a Korean holiday.

“Uh, um. How is your job?”

“Since I have already reached the rank of lieutenant in the Knights of Wades, my goal is to hold on till my retirement age without being swept away like a fallen leaf in the rain.”

“What about your parents’ business?”

“It doesn’t suit me at all. My parents’ job is my parents’ job, and I’m going to do my own thing.”

“Do you have a lover?”

“No.”

“Aren’t you interested in that?”

“I am very interested. I just haven’t found anyone yet.”

“What kind of woman do you like?”

“Well…if you look at the Rainfield mansion… Everyone thinks like you…”

“What do they think of me?”

“They look at you and think of Rainfield’s money? I wish it wasn’t like that.”

“It is reasonable. But in the first place, people of the same kind recognize each other, don’t they?”

I said coldly, hoping that Aaron would never meet a woman like me.

“If there is a girl you like, tell me. Or I’ll just find out.”

It was then we walked quite a bit through a secret passage that led in one direction while having a small conversation between siblings.

A luxurious entrance stood out, like a door to another world.

“Welcome.”

A tall man in a mask greeted us politely in front of the splendid entrance.

It was just the beginning.

“Please give me the entrance fee for today’s auction first. It’s 5 gold per person.”

And it cost money from the beginning.

“I didn’t know there was something like that, oh my.”

Of course, I couldn’t help but not know because it was my first time coming too.

I shamelessly nudged Aaron on the side once again.

“Uh… Umm…”

Aaron rummaged through his wallet and whispered awkwardly.

“I don’t have up to 10 golds. Why is the entrance fee so high?”

The story of the entrance fee did not appear in the original.

I didn’t think I would need cash either because I didn’t intend to buy a slave.

I whispered because I was also embarrassed.

“How come the Rainfield’s son don’t even have 10 gold?”

“Who carries so much cash?”

Seeing that there was no such content in the original, Robert or Ian seemed to have carried it around with them.

Aaron rolled his eyes and muttered.

“Hey, do you want to spread rumors of slaves in the Rainfields? Is there anything you can do to not ruin the house?”

“Then at least you won’t have to worry about inheritance rights. I guess it’s true that if you lose one, you get one.”

I admired his patience once again.

I couldn’t believe Ian had this kind of person as his deputy.

Of course, I wasn’t the only one clicking my tongue.

“You’ve come all the way here, but you don’t have the admission fee…”

The manager, who asked for the admission fee in front of us, spoke slowly.

“I don’t think you’re an ordinary customer.”

He slowly raised his hand.

Finding a dark energy in his palm, I quickly prepared for battle and told Aaron.

“Aaron, that’s black magic.”

“Oh, my…! My life horizons are getting too broad just because I found you. I’ve never seen black magic before.”

Actually, it was my first time seeing it too.
