[Eon’s POV: ]
“Big brother, did they… did those people do something bad?”
With Anna watching everything going on, she couldn’t help but be worried about the serious look that grandma had. Sёarch* The nôvelFire.net website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
She had not seen her like that most of the time but she knew she was strict sometimes. And since she could feel the emotions of the people around the room, she must be feeling the Disappointment that grandmother felt as well as the guilt that the Olsen parents were feeling.
“It’s not that they did something bad, dear. What they did was simply not right for their children. You can think of it as them making a bad decision that could have been… bad. “
Grandma was simply disappointed in them for doing things how they did it since there were many other ways that they could have used.
“Also, the children are children.
You don’t listen to everything they say even if it sounds safe.” Mom, who was looking at the whole thing from the balcony with us, spoke up right after me.
“They wanted to experience this so they prepared things, they went out and chose a place that was comparatively safe and got people that they thought were good.
The parents surely did what they could and placed someone they thought would be capable enough for the task, asking Him to help the children when their stubborn wish.”
Aunt Aug also spoke up right after her, making a sad face that pitied the parents instead.
“Still, if they had stopped them from the start and maintained their rebellious nature with some other tricks, they wouldn’t have been here… even their children might not have had to go through that kind of experience.”
Aunt Haze knew it was already too late. The children had already experienced those dangerous things and now, this experience would stay with them for a while.
She was sad not because the parents didn’t think this through before allowing their children to do such dangerous things, but because the children were the ones who expressed the need to experience something as dangerous as a dungeon.
‘If the children had the need to come here and feel something so dangerous, she did not know what their daily lives would be like.’
And, the rest of us pretty much understood her since we knew how difficult a sudden shift in lifestyle could be to children who had not even known what it felt like to have parents.
‘The first simple fact that grandmother was emphasizing was the nature of the relationship between the children and this young couple.’
They weren’t their children, even if they showed that they cared about them as much as their own blood.
‘Though we don’t carry any prejudice against them or have any specific stereotypes in mind, the fact that blood ties remain the primary familial relationship is true in most parts of this world.’
Blood is, in most cases, more important to any ‘parent’. But then again, this depends greatly on what social class of what kind you’re talking about.
“I am not trying to scold you two for what you did. And I’m certainly not saying you did anything wrong… it’s normal for new parents to fall for their children’s stubborn behavior.
But then again, I’m simply surprised to see this kind of carelessness from the children of the Man who has practically Ruled over his family with an iron fist.
Also, the fact that My children had to go through something We might never understand remains.”
I can tell… we all can pretty much tell she didn’t really care how these two wanted to raise these five children. ‘Her main concern was how their children became the reason for Our suffering.’
All parents have their own journey when it came to raising children, but it is the parents’ responsibility when their children’s carelessness results in something that ultimately harms the others.
“It was undoubtedly a mistake, be it intentional or unintentional. And to rectify the mistake, you have to receive appropriate punishment.”
It was given that she would punish them. None of us were surprised actually.
“Even though they weren’t the ones in the wrong, all actions have consequences. And in the case of the actions of the children, their parents might also have to bear the responsibility.”
Anna wasn’t used to seeing this kind of stuff.
Seeing grandmother in that state, feeling the complex emotions of the parents, feeling the guilt and sadness of the children, to even the feelings that the spectators around the house had right now.
It all encompassed a plethora of various emotions, something she could feel better than the others, something she could feel even though she did not understand what they were.
It was a new experience for her… and our words that added colors to this experience made the worried look on her face even more pleasant for the rest of us.
“I’ll talk with your parents to decide on what to do with you all.”
As she said that, the heavy atmosphere around the room calmed down a little and the air was freed up.
“I’m sure you all might have quite a few things to talk about, so, you should take your leave now.
Rest until we’ve made our preparations.”
As the master of this family as well as one of the few prominent rulers of the ocean, grandmother had quite the influence.
Especially when it came to neutral and independent families like Atraxia and Olsen, she was someone even the children of the family’s ministers recognized.
“…”
“Don’t just sit there, you two. We have to proceed with this meeting, you know?”
Grandmother wasn’t asking them to go and rest. She was telling them to empty the spot so that she can call up the other people.
There was still quite a bit she had to say, and she could not do that with the seven of them taking up the space.
“Yes… Great Lady. We will take our leave now…
We appreciate your great guidance.”
Though not too old, the Young lord Karl was still someone from a prestigious household and knew the basic etiquette.
He knew what he was supposed to do in front of a Lord like her, so he showed the respect that he needed to and appreciated the genuine interest she showed in their lacking parenting skills.
“What do you think, Anna? What kind of punishment should they receive?” Mom questioned her the a pleasant smile, finding this situation quite interesting.
‘For her, seeing others getting scolded was not a familiar sight since she is mostly the one getting scolded by grandmother.’
We all know the best just how much she gets scolded by both grandma and grandpa.
Whether it be about her parenting style, the way she soiled us to the way she went on with her own business.
‘They know the kind of shady things she does and they obviously don’t like it.’
They don’t ever stop her from doing what she is doing since they know well how she ultimately is looking for the betterment of us and her family.
Still, they scold her every now and then, ask her why she does the senseless things that she does and why she had connections with people that obviously were bad.
‘Heliox isn’t known for being a reighous household.
My grandpa used to be a pirate and my grandmother has a history of being on bad terms with not just many noble households all around the world but even the royal and imperial families.’
If I say so myself, challenging the authorities and common sense of various places is a Heliox thing. So, seeing people from a household that her grandmother once used to compare her with, simply was a delight to her.

“I… I don’t think they should be punished, mom.”
Anna thought about it for a few minutes before she reached that conclusion.
“They didn’t do anything and yet they got scolded by grandma.
Their children… those big brothers didn’t do anything either since they were simply doing something they thought would be fun.
Even the person that everyone believes was the cause of everything, didn’t do it on purpose.”
It was now known that the person with advanced Origin skill mastery only went into the red zone because they were ordered to make sure the children experienced all kinds of adventures now that they had the chance.
‘And that order was not from Lord Karl but his father, the person that this origin user actually served.’
Now, if we sit and find whose fault it was that all this happened, we would never really reach a solid conclusion.
“What I think… hmmm… I think we should just forgive them.
Big brother and sister Elle also don’t want to punish them, right? Then, why should we make them suffer?”
If Heliox was an atypical household, my little Anna was the most peculiar member of it.
‘She wasn’t showing sympathy for the parents who got scolded not she was showing empathy for the children who became the reason for that scolding.’
She was being ruthlessly logical here, seeing the matter from with the perceived emotions as base.
“You think so? Hmm… then, do you wanna go down and tell that to grandma?”
“I can do that?!” She thought something important was going on so she wasn’t going down.
But now that mom had allowed it, there was no reason she wouldn’t do so.
“Of course silly~. You should take your big brother and sister Elle as well.”
We could see where mom was going with this.
And, truthfully, it wasn’t that bad of an idea…
