Hiro walked towards the portal that had just appeared, and he was back in another passage. This time, the floor in the passage had a motif like the fossils of the insect. It was really different from the previous place.
“Insect, huh?” Hiro guessed what monster he would have to face after this. Then, he walked down the passage, which was only one lane. He could feel the air in that place was different from before. It was very cool, as if such a large supply of oxygen was packed in that place.
At the end of the passage, he saw three other tubular portals. Each of them had three different colors. There was a wooden plank near each of the portals, and Hiro immediately approached from the center.
Ding!
[Power of Water]
[Description: Power of Water will give you a healing buff every 30 seconds. Healing buff including up to 10,000 HP recovery in 10 seconds if only you do not get hit by the monster/boss.]
[Enter the portal to activate the buff]
Hiro turned his head to the tube on the right.
[Power of Earth]
[Description: Power of Earth will give you an additional armor effect. The effect of every ultimate skill that gives physical or magical damage will be reduced up to 10% (CD = None).]
And the last one was…
[Power of Wind]
[Description: Power of Wind will give you a resistance against all kinds of disable skills and negative effects. (CD = None)]
Ding!
[You can only choose two types of power before entering the elevator]
“Elevator?”
Along with the notification that had just appeared, a stone elevator slid up from the previously level floor. It had a scribble in the shape of the famous Illuminati logo. Hiro knew where he was going next, and two choices were much better than just one. Even so, Hiro had to think about the buff power he would choose carefully.
Seeing the description on the Power of Wind made Hiro 100% sure that the monster or boss waiting for him must have a skill that had a negative effect or disable skill. Only people who didn’t know how to play the game would ignore the Power of Wind. In a solo play like this, having the ability to be immune to negative effects was something that was mandatory and should not be missed.
Hiro’s first choice fell on the Power of Wind. Without the slightest hesitation, he stepped into the portal to the right, the Power of Wind.
Ding!
[You have been blessed by the power of wind]
A very strong wind swirled within the narrow portal, blowing Hiro’s clothes and hair for a few seconds before finally disappearing again. Then, Hiro saw a new symbol appear on his avatar profile.
[Buff : Power of Wind]
Next, the second choice fell between the Power of Water and the Power of Earth. Both of them would provide a defensive effect. Hiro felt a little unlucky that there was no damage buff in his selection. So whether he liked it or not, he had to choose between healing or damage reduction for the ultimate monster/boss.
The healing buff would really help him save healing potions which were now running low, and he still didn’t know where he could get it again later. Even so, defending against the attack of the monsters for 10 seconds was not easy, especially if the monster was an insect monster later. They would definitely come with the colony. It was rare for an insect-type monster to appear alone. Besides, Hiro also didn’t want to waste his precious 10 seconds to gain 10,000 HP.
Another option was damage reduction for ultimate skill. Well, it was 10%, quite tempting for the size of the ultimate damage reduction skill. He would never know how the ultimate skill appeared. If the ultimate skill possessed by the boss turned out to have the power equivalent to instant death, then with a 10% reduction … that instant death would never happen. Instead … Hiro might be dying and the remaining HP was only 10%. Well, that was better than dying right away.
Hiro immediately stepped into the Power of Earth portal and received the buff he had chosen.
Ding!
[You have been blessed by the power of earth]
This time, his body felt like it had been hit by a very gentle sandstorm before he could finally step out of the portal again.
Whoosh!
Blarr!
The Power of Water portal suddenly exploded when Hiro had just left the Power of Earth portal. He was quite surprised because he did not expect that such a thing would happen. Even so, the explosion only destroyed the unselected portals without harming Hiro, who was standing very close to them.
Next, Hiro looked at the waiting elevator and found the elevator door automatically opening widely. He approached the elevator right away. His heart suddenly thumped as if he couldn’t wait to face the monster that was waiting for him.
“Well, are you ready now, Hiro?” Alice asked curiously. Hiro nodded his head.
Ding!
[Are you sure you want to go now?]
“Yes.”
The elevator was moving downwards. Since the walls were made of stone, Hiro couldn’t see anything other than the narrow space inside the elevator. Even so, his journey down to the lower world was not smooth. After moving for about a minute, the elevator finally hit the ground hard and made the passengers in it stagger against the wall.
Bang!
Ding!
The elevator door opened. In front of Hiro, there was a kind of abandoned plantation. It was very dark and had stone walls overgrown with vines. The air in that place was very humid.
“Hiro, I really feel something is off right now,” Alice said as she pressed herself against Hiro.
The moment Hiro got out of the elevator. The elevator suddenly closed and went up again to the surface, leaving him alone. It showed that there was no other choice but to win.
Whoosh!
The wind blew from the front. It was very cold and made the atmosphere even more tense. The place was very dark, reminding Hiro of the maze that he had almost conquered back then. However, in the next second, three bright green dots of light suddenly flew towards Hiro. The light darted on the spot, then moved as if inviting him to follow them.
Hiro’s hand moved to touch one of the lights, and as he touched it, suddenly a loud, ear-splitting scream startled him.
“AaAaaaaArghhh!”
“What the hell was that?” Hiro immediately took his index finger away from the light, and the painful scream disappeared. Next time, Hiro didn’t want to touch that thing again and just followed them in silence.
