Ivonna just posted the screenshot she took when she was looking at the middle of the crater. It becomes trending in less than five minutes, we are all staring at a monster with its mouths wide open, it has three mouths to be exact with some kind of bones separating each mouth. The most disturbing thing is that since the sand has become a see-through glass, it looks like the monster is being preserved and being displayed. Its head looks like a bat but with so many eyes and horns. Its hand is trying to reach out the surface as if that thing doesn’t want to be buried alive in the sand.
Everyone is terrified to see something like this is buried inside the sand, and not to mention that this isn’t the first time they see something like this. When we were on an expedition to find the perfect location to build the empire, we witnessed rib bones as tall as Shazjae. Kingstar and the others are starting to think that there’s a high possibility that this isn’t the only one and there might be dozens of them out there buried deep inside the Orion.
Saintess Aria and the other NPCs have no idea what’s beneath and beyond these tall glasses. The only way to let them know is to bring her up high in the sky. I look at Ivonna and tell her to bring Saintess Aria with her to see it for herself about what’s the thing that’s buried deep in the sand.
Saintess Aria and Ivonna fly up high in the sky and they take their time to see the middle of the crater.
Kingstar closes the screen in front of him and then crosses his arms while staring at the glasses.
“Now what? What should we do about this?”
Everyone is thinking very hard about what to do, I look at Ivonna and Saintess Aria up in the sky.
“There’s nothing we should do if you’re talking about the monster. We don’t want to do anything stupid and wake it up. If you’re asking us about what should we do in this situation, the best thing we should consider is to build walls of bricks, barracks, build as much artillery as we can. You want to go on full force the moment it wakes up, you don’t want to waste a single hour by doing nothing from now on.”
Liu looks at me while squinting his eyes since the sunlight is blinding him.
“Do you know anything about this monster, Trev? Is there any information related to this monster in the book that you found?”
Everyone is looking at me while I’m shaking my head and looking at him.
“There’s none, but I do know all kinds of apocalypses that have happened in the past from the book and none of them mentioned anything about this being. That could only mean one thing, this monster is the reason why the Mauron Empire has vanished from history.”
Ken is humming while tapping his finger on his lips.
“You said that the first invasion isn’t written in the book, right?”
We are all staring at Ken and then I nod.
“Yeah, it’s not written in the book.”
Ken tilts his head while flipping his hand.
“So, I think the Mauron Empire didn’t expect this thing to come down to Orion as well, right? I think from what’s written in the book about the 50 to 100 years events were the only thing they’re worried about. When this thing came down to Orion, they were all surprised and had no preparation to fight it. So I think, the last event that was written in the book about what happened to the Mauron Empire is the last disaster before the disappearance of the Mauron Empire. From there we can tell how old or from when this thing came down from Orion.”
I smirk and I don’t think someone would pay attention to it, then I grab the [Book of Sahuurn] from my inventory and open the page where the Mauron Empire’s Clock is drawn. I pretend to read it and then point at the few words, everyone immediately looks at it even though they can’t understand anything about it.
“I’m still not sure about this sentence, it has something to do about the fall of the Mauron Empire. It’s written here out of 34 symbols, the Mauron Empire managed to survive 30 of them, and the last apocalypse that they managed to survive happened in the year 2252. This one right here I think it’s not a word, but a name.”
Everyone looks at me and the Kingstar tilts his head.
“What does it say?”
I raise my eyebrow while crossing my arms.
“It says, Letrax.”
Everyone is looking at each other while Kingstar is rubbing the bottom of his lip.
“So this monster’s name is Letrax and it’s at least 400 years old.”
Lothair sits down while crossing his arms.
“I think the only question that’s important to ask is how and why Letrax is buried deep inside the sand? If the Mauron Empire fell because of this monster, then who buried Letrax here?”
Diamond is rubbing his cheek.
“I think it’s the same as before? One of the Legendary Heroes came down to Orion and put this thing inside?”
Boschwell is shaking his head.
“No, I don’t think so. Why would the Legendary Heroes didn’t kill it like how Hero Ezira did to Shazjae? It doesn’t make sense to me if one of the Legendary Heroes just buried him here and didn’t kill him.”
Kingstar is nodding in agreement.
“Boschwell is right, it doesn’t make any sense. Maybe the 31st apocalypse did this to Letrax? I’m not sure because there’s no way a being like Letrax would stay here for years and not go to a different area.”
Kingstar looks at me while nodding up.
“What do you think, Trev? Do you have the answer for that?”
I honestly have no idea about the reason why Letrax is buried down here and I didn’t ask about it to Becker.
“The only thing that I can think of is Atraxthes.”
Everyone is staring at me with confusion and saying the same thing.
“Atraxthes?”
I nod.
“Yeah, Atraxthes has considered the God that the Mauron people believed in. I think they summoned him into this world and handle Letrax. If you think about it, Atraxthes can control the dead, and he’s capable of doing any kind of magic that makes him strong. So I believe, all the people from the Mauron Empire sacrificed their lives as an offering to him. But I’m not sure why Atraxthes buried him in the sand, if I have to guess, I think he wasn’t strong enough to kill Letrax and the only thing he could do was to seal him deep inside.”
Lothair chuckles.
“Well, Trev’s speculation is the most believable thing I have heard compared to you both.”
Diamond immediately punches him on the stomach while Lothair keeps laughing at him.
Ivonna comes down and Saintess Aria looks so pale. They both get down from Aegis’ back and Saintess Aria and the Arch Bishop immediately leave without saying anything. We are all so confused but we know that she’s terrified with what she just saw from up there. Ivonna walks toward us and looks at us staring at the book with confusion.
“What am I missing?”
They’re all talking about what we were discussing earlier to Ivonna, and she’s listening to them so seriously.
Ivonna looks at us while resting her hands on her waist.
“There’s something that I just noticed when I was up there earlier.”
Kingstar looks at her while raising his eyebrow.
“What did you see?”
Ivonna sends us the screenshot that she took earlier and we are all staring at the big chunk of a boulder and there’s something shiny in the middle. I raise my eyebrows and this is the [Star Core], but I don’t want to tell anything about it to them yet.
Grisell looks excited while staring at Ivonna.
“What’s that? Can I go there to check it out?”
Ivonna looks at Grisell and shakes her head.
“I don’t think it’s safe to be there now, maybe wait until it cools down a bit? I don’t want to put you or anyone here in danger if we do it just because of your curiosity. Sorry, Gris…”
Grisell nods while smiling.
“It’s okay! We can check it out later!”
Kingstar stands up while stretching his body.
“Alright, I think we are done here for now and we should start building as Trevor suggested earlier. We don’t want to make the same mistake from the first invasion and I want everything to be ready when the time comes. So, let’s inform all the players and tell them that the second invasion is coming and we are going to need them to help us build the strongest weapons and walls to protect us from Letrax.”
Everyone nods in agreement and we all go back to the Ophiuchus Empire.
