(There will be a joke and reference to Hellsing ultimate Abridged for those who will get it as it was too good to pass up.)
Back at Shuri’s house. Azrael was sitting at the table eating some food that Shuri had cooked for when her family returned. She looked at Raynare’s grandfather and Kurayami’s benefactor. “So why did Kurayami ask you to guard me?” Azrael explained. “Said he had a bad feeling and before he left asked if I could keep an eye out for you. Raynare loves you like a mother and will marry your son. Why wouldn’t I do that?”
Shuri nodded. “Well, you must be proud of her. She is a great girl and I’m sure she will make my son happy. I already want to be a grandmother” Azrael showed a very calm smile as he thought of his granddaughter and becoming a great grandfather. “She is my last living relative. If only I was around, my son might be alive..” She was going to say it was not his fault, but it is stupid to say what she didn’t know. However, Azrael stopped smiling and stood up. “Go hide in your room. We got company.”
Shuri looked toward where he was looking and obeyed. She had her unborn son to think about and locked herself in the room. Azrael removed his cloak and took a deep breath. “Seems these fools have forgotten who I am. Back then my very name drove fear in the hearts of millions. Time for me to claim my title once again.”
From his shadow came out a very demonic-looking war scythe wrapped in chains that made the attackers feel chills. He traced his calloused hands on the handle and gripped it. “Let’s go, old friend.” The chains on the scythe snapped and a big eye opened on the blade. Azrael walked out the door and he smiled. The assassins were all frozen as the scythe gaze made them all want to flee. “Not only did you come to kill Shuri, but you also want to kill Akeno, Raynare, and everyone else. Don’t even say a thing. I know.”
The Himejima clan assassins were frozen in fear and the supporters couldn’t even flee. He rested the scythe on his shoulder and while he looked calm he was truly enraged. Black veins began to pop through his body and Titus whined and shrunk down and entered through the doggy door to flee.
“This scythe eats the very soul. Nothing will remain when I am through with you.” One devil tried to reason that he was forced, but his head was split diagonally. He began to wither and all that remained was dust. The Himejima assassins knew they couldn’t run and had to fight.
They all began to use what the Himejima was famous for. The fire phase gives control over strong flames beyond normal fire magic. However, it was suddenly stripped away. Amaterasu gazed at the event and felt enraged that her orders were ignored, but fear at what Azrael could do when enraged. She stripped them of their power over the fire phase. When they felt the blessing of their god vanish many began to despair, but Azrael moved through them cutting them to shreds.
A fallen angel tried to flee, but he coughed out blood and looked down. A completely black spear of light went through his heart and he turned to dust. Azrael at this point looked nothing like a middle-aged man. He looked like death-given form and they all screamed in terror. His veins were all black, his eyes as dark as the night and his face looked like a black skull. His sclera was a deep yellow and his scythe formed a big mouth that grinned.
Ametrarau looked at that event as the head goddess of Japan. She could gaze at all places, but she knew that Azrael was a monster outside of her power. She shuddered as the Angel of Death was brought back into action. She paced back and forth about how she could keep this from turning into a war. She watched as Azrael killed all the ones responsible and he spread his 16 wings and took flight toward the Himejima clan.
She immediately headed to the Himejima clan and appeared at the current head of the family. Suzaku was the head in name only as the former head still had all the authority. When Suo Himejima felt the divine presence of the head goddess he prostrated himself. “My lady. How may i-” Before he finished she kicked him in the face breaking his teeth and nearly killing him. His face burned as her body was burning in sunlight.
“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!? BECAUSE OF YOU, AZRAEL IS COMING HERE YOU FOOL! WHY DID YOU DISOBEY MY ORDERS. I SAID THEY WERE NOT TO BE TOUCHED.!” Sou was an old man and was already near death. However, he was shocked as he did that for the rules. “Tahaye. wearr asdad frrootnt” She lost her cool and before she killed him more Himejima members rushed in.
When they saw their goddess killing Sou they were shocked. She glared at them and snapped her fingers. The ones who had plotted and disobeyed her died in rays of sunlight. “BECAUSE OF YOU FOOLS, WE HAVE AZRAEL COMING HERE.” Before they could even speak they all felt the blade of a scythe on their necks. Amaterasu swallowed her saliva and Suzaku, who had returned to the Himejima clan, felt that familiar aura and was not affected.
She walked out and saw Azrael walking while plants withered and the ground turned to sand. “Azrael? Please calm your rage. What has happened?” Azrael calmed down slightly as he didn’t want to accidentally lose control. “The clan sent assassins to kill Shuri and the rest. I am here for the souls of the ones responsible.” Ametrarau walked out and looked at Azrael in his death state.
“Please. Not everyone agreed to this. Most of the clan don’t even know of the event.” Azrael was not mass murder. “I know. I am killing the ones responsible.” He swung his scythe and 20 people who ordered the event were killed. The innocents were spared and the elders were dead. “Amaterasu. I have broken our agreement, but this was an attack on my family. Don’t let it happen again.”
Amaterasu sighed in relief as Azrael didn’t just start mass killing. “Suzaku.” Susako bowed. “Yes, my lady.” Amaterasu walked away in anger. “You are officially the head of the Himejima family. We need to ensure peace with Giorgi and as of this day, the Himejima clan is yours to reform. As you are close to Shuri please make sure peace lasts for all our sakes.”
Ametrarau rose back up in a ray of sunlight and Azrael flew back. He returned to normal and he coughed out blood and sighed. “I need to stop pushing myself.” The scythe looked at him and squinted its eye. “No, I am not dying. Far from it, but you think using death magic is easy?” The scythe rolled its eye and he put it back in his shadow. It roared at him and he stopped. “No, I am not chaining you up again. That was because I needed to train without you for a time.”
The scythe returned to his shadow and he got back to Shuri’s home. When he got there it was dead quiet. He walked in and knocked on Shuri’s door. “Shuri. It’s me.” She opened the door slowly and looked at Azrael. “Is it over?” He nodded. “You can’t stay here anymore. They waited for your family to be away. We got traitors.” She nodded. “Titus. We need to go.”
The dog nodded and hid behind Shuri. He was just a weak hellhound and Azrael reminded him of the Underworld and Hades. However, Azrael felt scarier than anything he had ever felt. Azrael helped Shuri go to Grigori where she could wait for her family. Kurayami was oblivious to this and waited for his father. Tyrant flew back and he noticed the dragon looked pissed. Koga looked at the massive dragon and held his gauntlet to enter his balance breaker.
Shigune stopped him. “No. He is Kurayami’s.” He stopped and when Tyrant landed it began to roar and make many sounds. “Dad let Satenel flea and talked instead of acting.” Tyrant nodded. “I need to have a word with him. He is too soft honestly.” Tyrant nodded as he agreed. Koga got closer and was left in awe. “He, your pet?” Tyrant did not find it offensive, but he only allowed Kurayami to call him that.
“I wouldn’t call him that if I were you, but in the simple terms yes.” Baraqiel and Vali landed and Kurayamu sighed. “Dad. You need to stop talking and act more, you have gone soft in recent years and it could cost you.” Baraqiel knew it was true, but he just wasn’t the same anymore. Fallen or not he still had nightmares of the Great War. He just wanted to spend his time with his wife and family.
“Wait. Kurayamui, Satanel said that there is an attack to kill Shuri.” As soon as the words came out of his mouth the hairs on Shin’s body were raised as Kurayami’s eyes turned bloodshot. Blades came from the shadows and yet as if it was all an illusion they vanished. “No use getting angry now. Azrael is there, but It seems the Himejima clan is in for a purge.”
Esdeath, Raynare, and Akeno were especially pissed. Shuri was important to them even Esdetah would have killed the entire Hiemijima clan if anything happened to her. “Well, let’s go back. We got something to settle. Go without me. I got something to do” Akeno was confused. “What is it, brother?” He patted her head. “I found something to steal.”
They all sighed and yet they all teleported back leaving him Tyrant and Shin alone. “Hey, bud. You feel that?” Tyrant growled in agreement and Shin nodded. “Loot.” They all gazed and walked opposite where two people were watching from the peak of a mountain a short distance away. They were agents from the Vatican, David Cerro and his pupil Freed Sellzen.
They didn’t take part in the recent fight but decided to watch patiently. To wait and see and had used a telescope to observe the battle between both groups opposed to the church. Grigori, Oz and Utsusemi. As he looked away from the telescope, David muttered.
“From a glance, I saw White Dragon Emperor’s Divine Dividing, Canis Lycaon, Boosted Gear, Demon Extract, so those 4 Longinus gathered at a single spot huh. What is the deal with that dragon? Is this the act of God? I have comprehended the situation. We will retire now, Freed.” Little did he know, he missed 2 more wrapped on a dog’s neck and was not summoned.
David spoke to his pupil who took notes for him. Around his pupil were the disfigured figures of several corpses lying. They were ‘Utsusemi Agency’ remnants and magicians of Oz who had attacked David and Freed. Having been on the lookout for church officials they had rushed here, but they were beaten at their own game and met with a gruesome end.
David spoke to Freed who was unsheathing a sword of light from the corpse of a female magician. “Even if we get rid of this many underlying heretics and witches, it shouldn’t be a problem should it.” Freed had an insane smile on his face and responded to his master. “Hey hey, boss. I mean, that earlier aura was from Longinus right. Well, if that’s the honest truth, they probably got killed easily.”
He meant when Kurayami nearly went into a rage-induced Balance Breaker. “Those were blessings created by our God, but due to the humans they dwell within being random we can’t have them all. If they lack piety, it will lead to these sorts of consequences. As expected, the Longinus ought to be controlled by us believers.” However, he felt a hand grab his shoulder. “That what you think?”
He froze in fear and he could barely move. Freed was being held by Tyrant’s hand and Shin was making blades through the area. “LET ME GO BEAST!” Kurayami wrapped his arm around David like they were friends. “So only the believers of god deserve sacred gears. Kind of conceited, don’t you think? By the way, the nearest elementary school is over 50 kilometers away. Oh, I see. Little Timmy here is your personal church boy.”
Kurayami backed away and let David look back. “You dare threaten a blade of the church.” Kurayami titled his head and nodded. “Yeah. I dare. Who are you? Wait let me guess, a priest. Look, I am dressed like a priest, minus the obvious pedophilia.” David ground his teeth and drew his holy sword Galatine. “Oh. Shiny. I got one.”
He summoned Rebellion and when David saw it he pondered. “A demon sword. Not one I know off.” Before he could talk Kurayami hit him with the pommel right in the throat. He passed out and Kurayami picked up Galatine. It accepted him as it felt Incinerate Anthem. “What do you know, not only am I a natural-born demon sword wielder I can also wield holy swords.”
“Hey, Timmy. I see you don’t believe in God. Want to join us, Fallen?” Freed glared. “MY NAME IS NOT TIMMY!” Kurayami nodded. “I am sorry. How often has he used you for his sick pleasure.” Freed was getting even madder. “NEVER!” Kurayami looked at David. “So he is not a pedophile?” Freed was shocked. “NO!.” Kurayami scratched his head.
“Seems I misunderstood something. I am sorry. Anyway, take a nap.” Freed was knocked out and Kurayami made a sword with a note written on it. “Deer Michale. I am borrowing this for a time. What do you have to say about the pedophiles in the church? I would like an answer. You can have this back if you give me a cool pet and a peace treaty.
Sincerely Kurayami. Beast Tamer and grandson-in-law to Azrael.”
David and Freed would not remember a thing. Only the sword and note stuck to and the fact that Galatine was gone.
