Kurayami looked at the creature while he and Raynare sat down on the hard floor just waiting for the thing to wake up. Raynare looked to her left where her loyal familiar Kane looked very different from the day she took him as her familiar.
“Hey Kane, think you stand a chance against this thing?”
“My lady, you surely jest. I am strong, yes, but this thing gives me the creeps. It is the ultimate Undead in my view and there would be no better master for it than the lord.”
She frowned at his last words as Kane only referred to Kurayami as Lord. If even Kane said that Kuryaami was better for it than her she could only accept. Kurayami smiled at her frowned and stood up.
He removed his sunglasses and his upper coat. He placed it in his spatial ring and while he still had time he rather be prepared. Following his example, she stood up and took a deep breath, and got serious..
“Balance Breaker, Envelopers Judgement.”
She was covered in black armor except for her head while Kurayami started to chant to activate Shin’s normal Balance Breaker. Thanks to his time training in the extreme environment of being near the dimensional gap his body was many times stronger than the norm.
Not to mention the Infinite that was in his body making him stronger as time went on. Before if he activated his Balance Breaker he would definitely destroy a large part of the terrain, but he now had perfect control. He now
“Balance Breaker, Night Celestial Slashdogs.”
In his place, he now looked like a humanoid black werewolf-like dog with 6 tails and a look that could kill. Fur covered dense muscles and large claws holding onto Rebellion with his right hand. Shin gave off a terrifying aura and looked dead on to the Black Nightmare.
Raynare sent Kane away and looked at Kurayami. “Do we transport it away from Pairs? If we fight it here the entire city and possibly more will be totally destroyed. If we are unlucky all of Frace will not be too far.”
Kurayami’s giant fangs were barred and his voice was a mix of snarls. “Too late, it’s awake.”
She focused and her face was covered by a pitch-black helmet while she focused on the move that made her grandfather so feared even by beings stronger than him. Azrael only needed to think to do it, but she needed a small chant to get it going.
“Death comes for us all, you can only avoid it for so long.”
Under her helmet her eyes became pitch black and they turned into a bright yellow, her veins began to turn black and a dark miasma covered his body and scythe. She was unleashing her entire control over Death Magic.
As for the Black Nightmare, it stood from its throne and felt its body was very different than when it fell asleep. It grabbed its huge claymore and looked in front of it at the two challengers. When it looked at Raynare it felt great hunger as her soul was perfect for its body.
However, when it looked at Kurayami its instincts screamed at it to flee as he would never win. However, a larger part of its mind seemed to be demanding he kills him and takes his soul. If he got that soul it would gain even more power without limit than even the girl.
Kurayami was going to hold back as if he went all out the thing would be killed imminently. It was one of the downsides to being so strong not many could pose a challenge. He wanted to fight Indra or even Brahma, Vishnu even the strongest being in this world besides his Ophis. Shiva, but that was a ways off.
The Nightmare charged and swung its flaming sword at Kurayami who snarled and swung back with Rebellion. When both swords clashed a massive shockwave shook the city of Paris causing many buildings to collapse and roads to crack.
The worst of it was the Cattacobs themselves as the clash sent the underground structure crumbling. Raynare was no slouch and charged at the Nightmare and swing her scythe with the intent to cut it in half. She might have succeeded if the Nightmare was before they fed it.
It used her death magic and both types of flames they gave it on top of its original soul flames and created another sword to block her strike. Kurayami was impressed at it had only had the flames for a few hours and I already could use them like that.
of course, it was still very crude and the sword crumbled, but it did its job. It backed off and it looked its arm as if was checking its condition from the clash. He found Kuraymi to be extremely strong, but he did not think of retreating and looked at Kurayami with a challenging gaze.
“So you’re not mindless? Good.”
It looked at him and got into a sword stance it did not in its first exchange. In its head, it remembered a few memories of its original life that were so clouded by the sheer amount of souls it had eaten they seemed like mere flashes, however, it was enough.
Its sword sent a massive fire pillar that went through the Earth upwards and it jumped out of the ground onto the surfaces. The flames of the Nightmare were not hot, but icy cold. Any people that were unlucky enough to be touched had their very souls burned.
When it saw the sun above and the amount of life around it felt like what it ate in the Catacombs were nothing. It wanted to eat every soul here however he would have to deal with his current foes.
Raynare and Kurayami flew out of the hole with their wings and in the distance a man who was frozen in fear somehow managed to pull out his phone and began to record. The Mist could only hide so much and when so much power clashed it was made pointless.
When the Nightmare and Raynare clashed a massive fire wave was going to engulf him and he felt his life flash before his eyes. He closed his eyes and prayed to God he may have a good life, but a magical Barrie saved his life.
He opened his eyes and saw a strange old man with an eye patch with a huge beard have a large frown.
“Damm, can’t a man enjoy a single strip club with some French beauties. If this goes on all this country will be destroyed.” He sighed and slammed his cane on the ground and formed a huge barrier over all of Paris to keep the damage contained.
Odin the All-Father was doing just as you would expect from a mega perv. He was having fun at a strip club, but he suddenly felt three very strong beings getting into a massive fight. It interrupted his fun and he was going to go out and strop them, but he found it better to stay back.
When he saw Kurayami’s bestial-like look with 16 wings he could tell what it meant. It meant that Azrael now was not the only super fallen angel a being so strong that even most gods were afraid.
While Kurayami was strong his fame was still not equal to Azrael as he left no traces. Odin felt this would be a good time to talk to the guy as he heard that the prideful Greeks had made peace with Grigori because of him.
He looked at the French guy still recording and he took the phone.
“Go to sleep.”
He poked him on the head and put him to sleep while he focused on the fight. The longer the fight went on the more energy the Nightmare pulled from the souls in its body. It was growing stronger and more violent, but Rayanre and Kurayami seemed to be just fine fighting it.
Even if they were still not going all out as Rayanre was only using her physical might and death magic to boost her power. He had not used her sacred gear abilities besides the boosting effects of the Balance Breaker.
Odin felt it was odd that Kurayami was fighting alongside Raynare when he could just defeat it easily. It would not take much from Kurayami to defeat it, but in his mind, this battle was just another part fo their date.
He considered this like a dance where they got to spend some time fighting as a team so he was taking his time to enjoy this fight.
Kurayami charged once again and he looked at Rebellion.
“Sorry if I wake you up.”
Rebellion flaming core was revealed and he flapped his wings while they were covered in lightning. His speed increased and he and the Nightmare got into a huge exchange of swords.
When he swung his swing down it blocked with the flat and deflected. It swung its sword to disembowel him, but Kurayami used his wings to block while Raynare used that chance to slash her scythe from the right should to the left hip on its back.
As it was made of fire the wound was not fatal, but what hurt that the death magic on the scythe, and during that moment of weakness Kuryami slashed the flat of his sword on its face while Rebellion burned in Black Fire.
It was different from the Nightmares soul fire as it was the former fire of the sword that made Canis Lycaon and it launched the Nightmare into a building. Suddenly Odin landed in between their fight with Gungnir drawn.
“Brat, just end the fight already. Do you think it is funny to interrupt a man;s time at his titty bar?”
Seeing the old man Rayanre knew he was a god and there was only one god she knew that was such a leecher besides Ares. Azazel told them about Odin’s perversion and she sighed as her fight was interrupted.
The Nightmare got out of the ruble and it did not seem happy to have its battle interrupted. It charged at Odin and what he did next impressed Kurayami. When the Nightmare swung its sword down on Odin he blocked and deflected the sword swing into the ground and he lightly stabbed it in the chest causing a massive ray of energy to pierce its chest.
Odin felt that killing it was not the intention of Kurayami and Rayanre so he only did enough damage to incapacitate it. It collapsed and its fire body began to try to fill in the part that was missing. However, the weapon of the Allfather was no simple weapon.
It was a godly weapon made for the countless wars Asgard had fought for the Allfather himself. Kurayami walked up to the Nightmare and he kneeled down and touched its forehead.
The Nightmare would not sign such a pact, but this time he was not asking and he was forcing it. Kurayami used all his power and forcefully made a pact and the downside with such a pact was that it was unstable and the creature could break free if you were not careful.
Kurayami knew that, but he felt it would sing a different tune when it felt the benefits of being in such a pact. He sent it into his familiar space and like he guessed when he felt the power that he was getting from Kurayami it was gentle energy that made the unstable powers he got being stabilized.
He once again was dormant as it was a truly unstable state at the moment. Now to the main dealing. Kurayami and Raynare looked around and saw that huge parts of Paris were either on fire, rubble, or plain destroyed.
They both dispelled their Balance Breakers and looked at the old man. Kurayami sighed as he did not expect that this would happen on a simple date. He wonders if he had some bad karma or what from his past life or if death followed him.
He did not know how spot-on he was as his new life was the result of a Death God who brought him to this world. The answer to his questions would soon be answered, but it was still soon for that. The God in question was not ready for him to know why he was choosen.
Kurayami coughed to get rid of the odd mood and introduced himself.
“Odin, I don’t think we have met before. I am Kuryaami Himejiman, this is my fiance Rayanre.”
“As he said I am Raynare grandaughter of Azrael.”
Odin looked pissed and his next words made both Raynare and Kurayami cringe.
“YOU IDIOTS THINK I CARE ABOUT YOUR NAMES! You destroyed one of my favorite strip clubs. What are you going to do about that?”
Kurayami blinked a few times oddly. “Can you say that again?”
“What, are you deaf. I guess those dog ears you had before were just for show. You destroyed one of my favorite strip clubs.”
Raynare facepalmed and looked at him oddly.
“I thought I had misheard. Well, what do you want?”
Odin sighed. “Forget it. Can I ask you two to come with me to Asgard. While you here already might as well talk. Before that, you need to deal with them.”
Kurayami looked behind him and he something he did not expect. He saw Michael, Uriel, Gabriel, and several Seraphs and Cadre level angels. Kurayami saw that Gabriel did not have a happy smile like usual, but was mad.
Behind her were her Asura Bear and the mother of Castiel. This may take some time to explain.
