Harry stood in front of a tall blue door. He was currently in the Lightning hall. 𝐞𝗼𝘃𝐞𝐥.𝗰𝐨𝗺
He noticed the gazes of the students who passed him lingered on him longer than it should. Most especially the females who would stare at him in a slight daze for a few seconds before suddenly turning around with red faces.
Harry didn’t put much thought to this and simply ignored them. He thought they were simply surprised that he was in the Lightning hall.
However, what Harry didn’t realize was this his facial features had improved greatly.
He no longer looked like the scrawny boy with slightly below average looks, his arms, although were not too bulky had filled out and were no longer skinny. His height had also increased as he now stood at 174cm.
Due to him increasing his charm, every single movement and action of his seemed to be filled with grace.
He was told to wait for the principal who was currently discussing with some of the Lightning instructors.
Harry was starting to get bored with just standing outside the door. Although, in reality, the meeting had only taken a few minutes, he felt like he had been waiting for hours.
Thought the principal doubted Troy’s words at first, he still came to the affinity hall. He made Harry take the test once more and only believed after seeing the results.
Just like Troy, he was also shocked after seeing the result of the test. It all felt strange to him, the student who was known to be unable to draw mana suddenly gained not just one affinity but three peak grade affinity!
Although he felt it was quite sad that Harry might not be able to realise his potential due to his late talent discovery, it didn’t change the fact that Harry’s talent was insane!
Besides, this would increase the reputation of the academy, and also help with the current problems he was facing about the ‘Han’s incident’.
People with dual affinities were rare and those with three affinities were even rarer and then here was Harry with three peak grade affinities.
The registration process had already been completed during the last few minutes, Harry also received a new student ID card. It was different from his old one as it verified his status as a student of the lightning, wind and earth halls.
‘…This is probably how Trent felt after the affinity test.’ Harry mumbled inwardly as he remembered how the principal’s attitude towards him took a complete turn around.
After finding out about his talent, the principal treated him nicely, he suddenly became the man’s favourite student.
He had witnessed the same thing happen to Trent during one of his affinity tests.
Harry was older than Trent with about two years, after failing to awaken his affinity after two tests, he had no choice but to take the last one with Trent.
However, while Trent awakened a dual affinity and was stared at with admiration by almost everyone, the opposite happened to Harry. No one even looked at his shadow, he was simply ignored that day.
But Harry didn’t really like the new treatment he was currently receiving from the academy, in a way, he felt disgusted by it. Mainly because he had in a way, experienced both worlds.
I’ve never been so bored—’ Harry’s thought was interrupted by the low clicking sound of the door opening.
The principal along with a black haired woman stepped out of the door.
The instructress stared at Harry weirdly for a few seconds before motioning for him to follow her while the principal turned around and left the hall.
The Lightning hall was built in a similar manner to the lecture hall, the only difference was the colour and the design.
The main colour around the hall was silver and blue, the walls and floors were silver while the doors were light blue.
As for the ceiling, it was white along with a few blue lines around it.
It seemed the hall design was inspired by the nature of the Lightning Element. It was well-known that the main colours of the Lightning element was silver and blue.
Harry was sure that the floors and walls of this hall were a lot thicker and durable than those of the lecture hall.
After walking for a few minutes, the instructress stopped in front of a double door.
The door slowly slid open as if to acknowledge her appearance, she turned towards Harry. “Since you’re just stepping on the path of an Elementalist, you’ll have to start your training from the beginning… with the first year students.” She said.
Although she was quite shocked by the sudden news of Harry’s talent, she was also curious. She wasn’t present during the test but she knew the principal couldn’t lie about something this huge—a once in a thousand years talent!
Harry simply nodded his head, Troy had already told him about this before. Even though he felt slightly weird by the idea as it almost felt like he was repeating a class with his juniors, he had no choice but to bare with it.
He was also sure he would pass them in no time.
The element halls were different from the lecture halls. In a way, the lecture halls determined your real academy year.
Unlike the lecture hall, where a student needed to spend about one year in a class before taking the promotional examinations which would determine if he would move to the next class in the lecture hall, the element halls only focused on talent and advancement speed.
As long as a student was considered ready—a set of practical examinations would be conducted to determine this, they would be promoted to the next training phase/stage.
Everyone had different talent, those with greater talents would naturally advance faster than those with lower talents—even if they didn’t put in as much effort, and vice-versa.
While it may take years for a person with low-grade affinity to get to the first mana core stage, it would merely take months for a person with high grade affinity to do the same.
The element halls wouldn’t wait for the remaining students, they would simply promote the ones considered ready.
The female whose name was Tania nodded her head as she stepped through the door with Harry following from behind.
A wide room appeared in Harry’s line of sight. A low sigh left Harry’s lips as his gaze wandered around the room.
‘To think I used to be so ecstatic about this. Imagining myself in an element hall… training to become an Elementalist. And now, that ‘dream’ has come to pass, it doesn’t feel as thrilling and exciting as I expected.’ Harry said inwardly.
