“You’re pleaded guilty for treason, murder, and attempt of sabotage.”
Not understanding why the black-haired girl was even there, Anna Moore kept herself calm even though her feet were shackled and her hands were chained. She was standing in the middle of a court with ragged clothing.
The other members of the heroes team were participating in the court as a jury alongside the other member of Elbanian societies. Anna understood the situation that she was in. She had been put in prison for the last few days.
One of the members of the heroes’ party had been suffering in bed ever since Anna gave him her care. Eventually, the boy died due to complications that Anna didn’t understand. It didn’t stop there though, Anna had been treating many people of the heroes party alongside the other members of the heroes party who were blessed with healing skills.
Somehow, Anna was blamed for all of the fevers, all of the complications, and all of the things that the heroes party got under her care. Anna did her best to treat the complications using her skill, but it didn’t always end successfully. Sometimes, it could get worse, oftentimes, it got better.
However, in this particular case, it ended up getting her friend killed due to complications. Anna, unlike Del, didn’t have even the basic expertise in medicine, and yet, the Elbanian still forced her to be the head of the heroes healers party. It also meant that any fault was hers.
Eric was among the jurors that pleaded Anna guilty. Anna was not shocked, she didn’t even blink when Eric led the rest of the heroes team to judge Anna as guilty. Unlike the situation in which his brother was in, everything was hidden. It was all manipulation that the Elbanian used to make Anna guilty.
It had been two weeks since Harry died in bed from complications in his wound. Anna was taken to prison for treachery against the royalty. Harry was one of the skillful mages in the heroes party and he contributed a lot during the training and extermination of demons inside of Elbanian.
After the arrest, Anna was sent to prison with nothing but ragged clothing. All of her shiny equipment was stripped out of her possession and she was left with nothing but a magical restrain collar on her neck. Basically, stripping all of her possession.
“The guilty, Anna Moore, will be faced with a death sentence. The guilty will be burned alive in Westwend Valley.” The judge hit the hammer.
Anna didn’t flinch. She didn’t cry. She just glared at Eric sharply. Her eyes said what she wanted. She only wanted one thing and that thing was the dead body of Eric. Every single trouble that Anna faced was because of Eric. The banishment of her brother was because of Eric. Now, even her own death was because of Eric.
The guard took Anna outside of the court. Anna just sighed, knowing that she would be burned alive.
====================================
Del was cleaning his M240 while relaxing on the couch. It had been four months ever since Cassandra lived with him. Together, they had amassed a fair amount of money and Del had leveled up quite significantly.
Even though it had been four months since Cassandra joined his team, Del hadn’t let her touch his firearm even one bit for one particular reason. He didn’t want an overpowered vampire that could resist his bullet to have guns. Although, Cassandra’s other weapon than her magic weapon was actually a crossbow.
Del also had ranked up from F to D. His constant contribution to the guild resulted in him getting promoted without taking any combat test. It was actually quite convenient for him. He didn’t want to involve himself in melee combat either.
After his promotion, he expected that the king took notice of him and tried to remove him from existence. Luckily, it didn’t happen. Maybe it was because the king had a bigger business to take care of. Well, it was not like the capital wasn’t far enough.
Del had also bought upgrades for himself, in particular, a new PASGT helmet, an M81 Woodland uniform, and new night-vision goggles, AN/PVS-7. He also bought a high-profile purchase which was a Humvee. At first, Del thought he would catch a lot of attention, but it didn’t. Maybe the people of that world only glared for a while, after that, they continued with their business.
Cole had previously mentioned the existence of flying airship, maybe that kind of thing would actually surprise the Elbanians instead of just a vehicle that could move faster than a horse carriage. Still, it increased his mobility from one place to another. Plus, people couldn’t steal a car, they could only steal a horse.
For a mere 22 white gold coins, Del bought a new vehicle for increased mobility. It was well worth it because a car could run day and night non-stop. A horse required sleep and food while a car only required petrol and a driver. Still, the only driver was Del since he was the only one in that group that had a driving license.
“Yo, what’re we going to do today?” Cole asked.
“Well, we can relax in our home all day or we can go to Alder to get some quest, again,” Del commented.
“In this past few months, you’ve been quite lazy, haven’t you?” Cole commented.
“Well, what can I say? I’m financially secure right now, I have friends that I can trust, and the king isn’t looking for my head. Isn’t life great?”
“Haha, yeah, the first time I saw you, you look like a beggar. Now, you just look like an average adventurer. Damn, how far have we come?” Cole commented on his adventure with Del.
“Anyway, how’s your research? Is it progressing quickly?” Del asked.
“It progresses quite rapidly, I have written most if not all of the data in my logbook. I just have to write my thesis in Ilbistirum and I will be gold,” Cole commented.
“For a research, that’s quite short,” Del said.
“Yeah,” Cole nodded.
Cassandra was back in the kitchen, cooking for breakfast. Wolfie was sitting on the couch right beside Del. Del hadn’t bought any tactical armor for Wolfie yet, mainly because Wolfie was able to tank gunshot alone with his own skin.
[EMERGENCY QUEST!!! EMERGENCY QUEST!!! EMERGENCY QUEST!!!]
It was uncommon for Pidma to give a quest, much less an emergency one, It only made Del wondered what was going on. Del grabbed his tablet from the side of the couch and opened Pidma’s menu.
He didn’t quite understand the concept of an emergency quest. Pidma had only given a quest once, and that was when he met it for the first time. It might be something important, but Del couldn’t figure out what the important thing was.
“What’s the matter, Pidma?” Del asked.
[Something happens on the other side of the country. This is something, I’m not sure about it, but I think it might be best for you to divert all of your attention towards this problem.]
“Why do you sound so uncertain about this issue? Moreover, how could you even know this?” Del scratched his head, “I don’t remember that you have any prediction functionality.”
[Actually, I do have prediction functionality, but it’s not accurate. Maybe I can say that I’m 20% accurate. Still, I think this is quite important. I conclude all of this from the data that I retrieved by overhearing things using your ear]
“Important, well, everything seems to be important, right? Still, if you want to ask me, I want to hear about what do you have to offer to me?”
[Ok, Displaying Emergency Quest]

[Rescuing the Unknown] [Emergency Quest] [Risk Class: High-End B] [72:00:00]
I’m not sure whether my data is suggesting something accurate or not. However, some of the conversations that I overheard suggest that the heroes party is having trouble because one of their members is having some sort of mutiny. I’m not sure who is it, but I think it might be a good idea to rescue him/her.
Mutiny in Elbanian is oftentimes punished with a death sentence. The death sentence is usually carried out in Westwend Valley. The punishment usually varies based on the degree of punishment that the judges gave.
Requirement: [Heavy Trauma Injury Kit] [Cassandra Gable] [Car with a Roof] [Bolt Cutter]
Task: Rescue [?]
Reward: [1 Ally]
Failure Reward: [Death of Someone]

“What???”
Del didn’t want to be in contact with the member of the heroes party, much less rescuing them from a death sentence. They were still the people that threw himself out of the palace and sent him to misery. The only reason that he was living lavishly was because of Pidma’s existence.
It was a hard judgment for Del.. He didn’t want to rescue his former friend, but he also feared that the person that started the mutiny could be none other than his own sister, Anna Moore.
