Qiao Jing Going Overboard
What Qiao Yu didn’t say was that with Qiao Yue’s return, the disputes between other members of the Qiao family would lessen as everyone would direct their enmity towards Qiao Yue. How could he hate Qiao Yue?
Qiao Yue noticed the flash of darkness in Qiao Yu’s eyes and chuckled.
At 4 pm, Qiao Yue received a text message on her phone, asking her where she was.
Qiao Yue glanced at Qiao Yu and showed him the text massage.
“Brother Jing?”
“Yeah.”
“Tell Brother Jing that you are out with me.”
“Tell him that you brought me to box?”
“Eh, you little brat! Do you want to get beaten up?”
Qiao Yu stepped forward as he said this and tighten his arm around Qiao Yue’s neck to threaten her.
“Fourth brother, I was just joking.”
After the afternoon, the two of them had gotten to know each other better. Didn’t people say friendship among men was forged through fist fights? This was probably how it felt for the two of them.
Qiao Yue leaned against the bike and typed on her phone. Qiao Yu put his arm around her shoulder and watched.
Shortly after, Qiao Yu suddenly sniffed Qiao Yue’s neck and said in surprise, “Qiao Yue, there’s a fragrance on you.”
“Fragrance?” Qiao Yue raised her sleeve and sniffed, but she didn’t smell anything.
But Qiao Yu didn’t let Qiao Yue go as he continued to sniff her neck.
Qiao Yue knew that things weren’t going well, so she pushed Qiao Yu away with her elbow.
“Don’t you feel uncomfortable when two men are so close to each other?”
Qiao Yu sniffing Qiao Yue’s neck just now could look a little perverted if it were between ordinary persons. However, it happened between Qiao Yu, the school hunk, and Qiao Yue, who was so sunny and handsome. The two of them standing together looked like stills from an idol drama. However, this drama didn’t have a female protagonist, only two ambiguous male protagonists.
In a corner that the two of them didn’t notice, a girl was smiling at their photo like an old bat.
By the time Qiao Yue and Qiao Yu got home, the sky was already dark. Qiao Yue said goodbye to Qiao Yu and went straight to Qiao Jing’s study.
“Second brother, I’m back.”
“Enter.” Qiao Jing answered from inside the study.
Just like the first time, Qiao Yue sat across from Qiao Jing, who stared at her coldly.
“I heard that you beat up your classmate,” Qiao Jing asked.
“Yeah, I did. Three of them. Qiao Xin brought them along to intimidate me. They didn’t succeed and were beaten up by me instead.”
After Qiao Yue said this, the coldness in Qiao Jing’s eyes slowly diminished.
“You’re not hurt anywhere?”
Qiao Yue shook her head. “I’m fine. We’ll just see if they’re fine. The fight was two days ago and they’re still complaining.”
Qiao Yue’s voice got softer as she spoke. Perhaps it was because she had promised not to cause trouble before; Qiao Yue was only mumbling to herself towards the end.
It had been a long time since someone had disciplined her; she was not used to Qiao Jing’s attempt to control her.
Seeing that Qiao Jing didn’t speak, Qiao Yue carefully raised her head to look at his expression. But when her eyes met Qiao Jing’s, she quickly lowered her head again.
Qiao Jing sighed and threw a black card in front of Qiao Yue.
“Second brother, what is this?” Qiao Yue didn’t understand.
“I forgot to give it to you earlier. Go and get some new clothes. I didn’t buy any for you in case you didn’t like them. Go pick out some clothes for yourself when you have time.”
Qiao Jing got up and stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, looking out at the night. Qiao Yue walked to his side.
“Second brother, I got into a fight. Aren’t you going to scold me? You’re even buying me clothes?”
Qiao Yue’s eyes were filled with curiosity as she twirled the black card between her fingers.
“You want me to scold you?” Qiao Jing turned around, his eyes reflecting Qiao Yue’s figure.
“No, I just feel a little guilty.”
Qiao Yue smiled like a mischievous child tempting passersby to go up and pinch her delicate cheeks.
In Qiao Jing and Qiao Yue’s situation, if one followed the overbearing CEO’s plot, after Qiao Yue said that she didn’t deserve it, Qiao Jing would tell her to just accept it.
But Qiao Jing was different. As he walked back to the desk, he took the black card from Qiao Yue’s hand.
“Don’t accept it if you feel ashamed.”
Qiao Jing’s reaction completely stunned Qiao Yue. This time, she wasn’t going easy on him, but she couldn’t find an appropriate response.
The corner of Qiao Yue’s mouth twitched, “Brother, is there any reason for taking back something you’ve given away?”
“You said you’re guilty,” Qiao Jing replied indifferently.
Qiao Jing didn’t know what was wrong with him, but he suddenly wanted to tease Qiao Yue.
“I was just saying, you really took it back!” Qiao Yue complained with a depressed expression.
“Then do you want it or not?”
“I want it!” Qiao Yue chuckled and ran over to Qiao Jing to take the black card.
Qiao Yue didn’t lack money, but it wasn’t her style not to take it. Besides, she felt that it wasn’t a bad idea to have this kind of interaction with Qiao Jing. It had been years since she was cared for and disciplined by her family.
When Qiao Jing saw Qiao Yue acting like a puppy dog, a hint of smile flashed across his eyes.
