Mr.9 was looking at the roof. Mikita’s naked body was hugging his. the only thing that covered them was a thin bedsheet.
He was thinking about the gamble he had got from his system.
The rewards are, for now, the biggest ones he ever had.
The consequences, on the other hand, he has to take, are very severe.

Although these are the most tempting rewards he may get, the most ones that can change his life, this is the riskiest task he had ever gotten.
Mikita had been calming him earlier by pounding him on the bed, however, that nervousness of making a big decision like that is still there.
Josh would move around to think, if not for Mikita using her weight to stop him from moving.
‘Dang it!’
With his heart pounding faster, he put his choice on yes.
He got a new life, a really big chance.
If he doesn’t try to hit the jackpot, why is he here in the first place?

[Mission has been accepted.]
Josh was currently moving on a boat.
“What are you thinking of, Mister 9.”
“Nothing, Miss Valentine.”
Josh turned to Mikita, who had been looking at his facial expression all along. Josh had been, for sure, deeply thinking.
“Are you planning to propose to me?”
“I don’t believe in marriages,” Josh said as he turned to her.
Mikita lifted an eyebrow. “Why.”
“I don’t need a contract to enter a relationship with you, or make you my woman,” Josh said as he held her hands.
As a lawyer, an intern who entered the court many times, Josh had learnt one thing.
Marriages, to men on Earth, are riskier than gambling with the system on his life. You can lose your half wealth, and then spend most of your life working on someone else.
Josh was from a newer generation, a wiser one, who don’t mess with laws.
“Hmm… it’s not like there are official papers here.” She said, narrowing her eyebrows. “You know, marines and pirates don’t care. You can marry as much as you want.”
This world was a kingdom world. The celestial dragons have made more ancient laws about marriages and all. In a time where pirates kill people occasionally in large numbers, counter measurements were created. They encourage marriages and having kids, multi marriages in fact.
Josh just nodded. “So, what do we do for now,” Josh said.
Mikita took her hand and walked around, sighing. “We will wait for that snail. Boss would call us at any minute. We are official numbers. Let us promote quickly.”
She then raised her fist. “And crush every pirate on our ways.”
“I’m feeling jealous,” Josh said. Mikita lifted her eyebrow. Josh continued. “I want to be crushed instead.”
“Hmm… how about the night, after we reach the seaport.”
“Why not here.” Josh held her waist and grabbed her closer.
Mikita smiled. “You know. The idea of a possible danger arriving at us, like sea monsters, or pirates running to us, while we fuck, excites me.”
Josh flinched. That’s right. “How about you suck me and eat you out. That way we can be alerted”
“Deal.” They clapped hands together.

Josh, after having post-nut clarity, was thinking about the mission.
He has only two months.
He looked to the side. Since he would possibly betray the Baroque Works, he thought of his partner.
‘I will convince her when the time comes.’ Josh thought about convincing her to join his side, against Crocodile and getting his wealth, however, there is a risk that something would split out.
He didn’t worry too much. The girl is only in the organisation to have money. Nothing personal.
“Oh, Joshy, I’m bored.” Mikita, whose scent is feeling the air, said as she was leaning on a barrel, looking at the sky and waving her hat in front of her face.
“Relax, we may get a mission soon.”
Josh then started a light chat. She talked and he just nodded at whatever she said, not really understanding it, but pretending to listen.
After a while, on the table in the middle of the ship, the DenDenMushi, which happened to be a snail that replaces the phone, rang.
“Mr 9 is with you,” Josh said.
Since he is a part of Baroque works now, he isn’t allowed to use his real name.
The same rule applies to Ms Valentine, aka Mikita,
“Oy, you are the new rising one. Mr. 9” Said a deep voice from the snail.
“Yes, may I know who is calling me?”
“Mr. 1.” Said Mr. 1.
“What can I do for you,” Josh said.
“Do they teach you to talk like that to your seniors,” said Mister One.
“Ara Ara~. Mr 1. Mr 9 is just a young boy. He barely had been here for a month with us. Don’t scare him away.” came a feminine seductive voice from the snail. Mr. 1 isn’t alone as it seems.
Mikita and Josh looked at each other strangely, imagining the face of Mr.1 upon hearing his partner talking.
Josh and Mikita suppressed their chuckle.
“Whatever. Mr 9.” Mr.1 seemed to ignore his partner.
“Yes.” Josh nodded.
“There is a mission. The previous Mr.9 has failed to accomplish it. Currently, there is a group of pirates that managed to kill the previous Mister. It’s for you to hunt.”
“Alright, send me the location.”
“Hm.” Mr.1 thought for a brief and said. “Do you need any assistance?”
“Nothing really. Just information, few supplies, and I’m good to go.”
“Alright. Meet one of our crews on the way, Contract them and meet them at Whisky Peak.”
Whiskey Peak was one of the islands which the Baroque Works occupy.
“Roger that.” Josh leaned back on the deck.
“You know how to talk formerly, it seems.”
Josh just nodded.
The call then turned off.
The snail, which had been acting like a phone, started acting like fax, and had a printed paper out of it, telling Josh about the location of the pirates. Josh picked it up and read it.
As it appears, no mission was triggered for him.
“So, what did we get ourselves into?” Mikita picked her yellow hat and put it on her head.
Currently, she was wearing a yellow dress, knee level, with lemon patterns all along.
Throwing the paper to the side, Josh said.
“20 million worth pirate. How good are we be in a sea battle.” Josh turned and asked her.
“Well… I’m a devil fruit user, so.”
