Rebirth: Ghost Exorciser Novel

Chapter 1841 - 1841 Old Liang Family Residence, Agitated Fang Yu and Lu Ningwen

1841 Old Liang Family Residence, Agitated Fang Yu and Lu Ningwen

There was no need for Chi Shuyan to do anything. Qi Hao quickly found a piece of paper that had been folded several times in Song Yanru’s shoe. There were some deep creases in the paper; it was obvious that she had read it often.

It was only when Qi Hao took the clue from the sole of her shoe that Song Yanru reacted. Seeing that her only bargaining chip had been taken away, she almost bit into her gums until they bled. She stared fixedly at Qi Hao indignantly and said, “Give… it… back.”

Unfortunately, no one cared about her anymore.

Qi Hao first opened the paper and looked at the clue. Before Fang Yu and Lu Ningwen could come over to take a curious look, Qi Hao’s face turned deathly pale with fright. His hands shook as he hurriedly handed the clue to his sister-in-law and shouted, “Sister-in-law, take a look. Sister-in-law, take a look. It’s big.”

Chi Shuyan took the clue from Qi Hao’s hand. Although she wasn’t as agitated as Qi Hao at that moment, her face was very unsightly.

The clue written on it for tonight’s game was: “Battle royale. In the end, only one person will survive.”

No wonder!

No wonder Song Yanru suddenly became so ruthless and wanted to kill everyone. In the end, the temptation to be the one to survive wasn’t small. Sometimes, what couldn’t a person do to survive?

While Chi Shuyan was deep in thought, Fang Yu and Lu Ningwen also saw Song Yanru’s clue. Their faces changed drastically and their pupils contracted.

Fang Yu and Lu Ningwen blurted out, “Celestial Master Chi, is this real or fake?”

The clues they themselves had drawn were that only two people would be able to survive in the end. There was no mention of a battle royale at all.

Could it be that what Song Yanru said about her clue was true? But what about their own clues?

Fang Yu and Lu Ningwen asked the questions in their hearts.

Chi Shuyan’s tone was unhurried, but there was a hint of coldness in it. “Song Yanru is right. The clue she drew is the only real clue. All the other clues were fake, since everyone else had gotten a vote except for Song Yanru.” As for Chi Shuyan’s clue, it had been blank. She now suspected that the draw had been premeditated from the beginning. Something here was guarding against her. Thinking this, Chi Shuyan’s face was especially gloomy.

“Sister-in-law, there are still three minutes to midnight. What should we do? We won’t… really kill each other, right?” If it were before, Fang Yu and Lu Ningwen might not have been willing to trust Celestial Master Chi and Brother Qi so much, but now that the two had saved their lives, how could they not trust them? Moreover, the only person they could rely on now was Celestial Master Chi. Without her, the two of them would definitely die here.

Fang Yu and Lu Ningwen’s hearts tightened at the thought of a battle royale. It wasn’t just them; even Qi Hao’s face was uncharacteristically solemn and slightly pale. “Sister-in-law, what… are we going to do now?”

Could it be that only one person would survive in the end?

Chi Shuyan looked at the three of them and calmly said, “We’ll deal with whatever comes our way. Let’s leave this place first.” After a pause, Chi Shuyan continued with a rare solemn expression, “Also, everyone be careful tonight.”

With that, Chi Shuyan took out a lot of Exorcism Talismans for Fang Yu and Lu Ningwen.

Lu Ningwen and Fang Yu didn’t dare doubt the talismans as they hurriedly took them from Celestial Master Chi, but they wondered if they really were useful.

While Fang Yu and Lu Ningwen were still feeling doubtful in their hearts, they suddenly heard Qi Hao scream. The two looked up and saw an incomparably familiar person standing at the entrance of the cave. Who else could it be but Director Huang?

The two didn’t understand why Qi Hao had screamed when he saw Director Huang. They were about to go over and greet him, but Chi Shuyan stopped them. Qi Hao shouted anxiously, “He’s not Director Huang, he’s not… Director Huang.”

“How is that possible?” Lu Ningwen and Fang Yu had just denied it in unison and wanted to say a few more words to Qi Hao, when they saw a scene that upended their worldview. They were incomparably horrified and almost wet their pants.

In the next second, Director Huang, who had been smiling amiably, suddenly tore off a large chunk of bloody human skin from his waist to the top of his head.

What was even more ghastly were the countless squirming corpse bugs under his skin which burrowed into and gnawed on his flesh.

A hideous smile could just barely be made out on Director Huang’s blurry, bloody features. He gloated and bellowed, “None of you can leave! Don’t even think about leaving!”

At the same time, there was a strange sizzling sound, which made everyone’s hair stand on end and their hearts turn cold.

“Ah!” A mournful and terrified female voice rang out. Who else could it be but Song Yanru?

Fang Yu was a little cowardly. When he saw this especially terrifying scene, he couldn’t even scream in horror before he choked and his vision turned black. It was Qi Hao who hurriedly supported Fang Yu and tugged at his collar as he roared, “Brother, you really can’t faint now. If you faint, I won’t be able to carry you out.”

At Qi Hao’s yell, Fang Yu didn’t dare faint even if he wanted to. He suppressed his dizziness and roused himself, but when his eyes fell on Director Huang not far away, his vision couldn’t help but turn black again.

Too scary! Too scary!

Although Lu Ningwen didn’t cry out at that moment and looked quite calm, his legs were trembling and were as soft as noodles. Looking at Director Huang’s mangled and sinister smile, he really almost pissed his pants, and his fingers kept twitching with nervousness.

Lu Ningwen swallowed his saliva in horror. He was so agitated that he suddenly raised his voice and stuttered at Qi Hao, “My… my god! This… this… what the hell is going on? Brother Qi!”
