Reborn: Rise of the Greatest Summoner Novel

Chapter 22 The Missing Leo

Legolas’s interaction with the 2 fighting gangs made him come to some realizations. Though mentally he never saw himself as a kid, he still had to bend to reality and admit that he currently had the body of a kid.

His little body brought him a lot more problems than anticipated.

If he was to demand respect and get the reputation that he wanted, he needed to find a remedy to fight against his current cute appearance.

With the beta testing set to commence in 2 weeks, he needed to move fast. Now that he thought about it, no player in their sane mind would leave the bunch of adult NPCs to come finding missions from a kid.

He always guessed that meeting players would help him in getting closer to the truth behind his reincarnation, he had no intentions of botching this.𝒪𝐕𝐥𝐞xt.𝗰𝑶𝐌

He made it a priority to find a solution to his current size and appearance before the beta testing commenced, he already had a few ideas in his mind.

Apart from the problem of his size, after the gang fight, Legolas also contemplated his plan to get stronger.

As a veteran player of Dominator, he knew that taking the grind approach of farming experience points through kills was a draining task. In this world now, he could not afford to take this approach.

The next approach to get experience points and grow stronger faster was through missions, mostly main missions that were tied to the main storyline.

His plan for the next few weeks already changed to farming experience points through the beasts in the Blue Forest and the sea.

After the beta testing, he still had another 3 weeks to prepare until the official launch of version 1.0. In this time, Legolas wanted to investigate the reason why the Clown Society was not yet famous and notorious.

With his future knowledge, he knew that tying himself to the main storyline was the best way for him to get stronger and probably also satisfy his curiosity.

Once he finished laying his plans down, Legolas stood up, locked his door, and left the shelter where he soon met Predator lazing around outside the shelter walls.

Hidden behind a thick patch of grass where Predator paced around hid the airbag which held Lucky. Having been tasked to protect the Star Fox, Predator spent the most boring hours of its short life stuck here.

Once it saw Legolas, it jumped and protested.

“Hey, don’t worry, I’ll compensate you, you wanna go hunting?”

Predator instantly purred contentedly to show his excitement.

Legolas smiled at that before walking closer to pick up the airbag. Once he wore it on his back, he climbed Predator’s back as the Nightmare Beast sprinted away deep into the dangerous Blue Forest.

Roar…!

The Humpbacked Angry Lion’s roar was interrupted by Predator as the massive but young Nightmare Beast’s saber-like claws smacked its jaws.

After Predator became a Grade E Nightmare Beast, he finally seemed to unlock more of the savagery, strength, and indomitability that was associated with its race as it completely dominated this Lion in the battle.

Hidden a few meters away in the forest, Legolas only gave some basic instructions and pointers to guide Predator from making stupid mistakes.

Despite the clear superiority of the Nightmare Beast, the Humpbacked Angry Lion was no slouch either as this veteran hunter’s strength was fueled by its anger.

The angrier they got, the stronger they became which made it an even stronger opponent to Predator.

Despite the powerful display from the Lion though, Predator remained on top and emerged victorious after 8 grueling minutes of battle.

Once the Lion died, a barely injured Predator regained his energy as he enthusiastically started feeding on the corpse of the massive Lion.

Not even its beast core was spared as everything was devoured in minutes.

Finding powerful beasts like the Humpbacked Angry Lion at the periphery of the Blue Forest was not too common. For the next few minutes to hours, Predator only encountered Grade F beasts which it absolutely steamrolled through.

The more Predator killed, the more its fighting instincts and decision-making improved. As Legolas could feel the growing battle experience of his contracted beast, he started letting it solo most battles which Predator executed flawlessly.

Predator’s flawless victories gave Legolas the leisure to continue rehearsing his plans even while he protected the airbag holding Lucky.

With Predator’s current strength, he was already a pretty strong Grade E Summoner but Legolas still recognized that he was far from utilizing his full potential as a Grade E Summoner.

To utilize his full potential, he needed basic Summoner knowledge. Another priority of his was finding avenues to get more basic Summoner knowledge.

Legolas turned to see Predator tear an Iron Pig in 2, he instinctively patted the airbag. “What’s going on in there? Is this shameless Fox still evolving or is she already taking a nap, hmm?”

Legolas continued grinding for experience with his contracted beast.

The port of the Blue Scale Shelter was busier than usual today.

Due to the lack of Summoners and Beast Tamers in the shelter, most of the warriors here travel through boats. Today was different though as a Giant Sea Dolphin was spotted dragging a luxurious sea chariot to the port.

Once the Giant Sea Dolphin stopped and the chariot got to land, a group of supers dressed in luxurious purple armor came out to form a formation.

A young man’s loud voice was heard the next moment. “He scammed me! He actually scammed me!”

“Calm down young master…”

“I won’t calm down!” The young man who seemed to be 18 finally came out of the chariot as he continued ranting. “I paid in millions but what did I get in return? His pill corrupting my contracted beast and making it go mad”.

“I won’t take it; he’ll definitely pay for hurting Leo”.

“Young Master…”

The young man ignored the middle-aged man who tried to calm him down and asked. “I heard there’s a forest close to the shelter, right?”

“Yes, young master”.

“Good, put out a recruitment notice for worthy warriors to enter the forest in search of Leo. The lucky one who rescues him will be rewarded handsomely”.

As his guards fulfilled his orders, the young man’s eyes flickered in worry. “Please stay safe Leo”.
