[What? Go down alone?] Qin Hua was surprised. She was not sure if Lu Chen risking his life by going down alone was the right decision at the moment.
However, she knew that if they all waited around doing nothing until Su Yan woke up, that was also probably not a good thing. Every second counted and the enemy might become more powerful in the time that they waste by waiting around.
Without any other option, she reluctantly shook her big furry head up and down, signaling in a human way that she would try her best.
Lu Chen was slightly startled at her reaction, but he then smiled and rubbed her head, before looking at Su Yan one more time and stepping out of the apartment.
Qin Hua’s eyes trailed behind him and after he left, trailed back to look at Su Yan, wondering what happened to him. She lifted her paw and using the furry side she poked around Su Yan’s body here and there to see if there is any reaction.
[Aish. Why am I wasting time like this!!! Let me use Inspect.]
<Ding. A human being who was able to withstand the mana currents and the awakening of inner ability; Level 20; Double Awakened>
Qin Hua’s sharp and ferocious eyes instantly bulged like boiled eggs after seeing the few words which popped out.
[Level 20? Double Awakened? What the hell?] Her tongue rolled out, unable to hold in her surprise. Su Yan was twice as powerful as her?!!!
[System, this double awakening? This is because of the demonic mana core? Does this mean he is going to have another ability?]
<Ding. Demonic cores have the ability to grant additional skills>
The system spat out the same reply as it had done before, but Qin Hua could already connect the dots in her brain.
Awakening probably referred to abilities and Su Yan’s current state might be because his body was getting accustomed to the new ability he possibly gained.
Lu Chen as well had eaten a demonic core but he didn’t show any signs like Su Yan. Perhaps he hadn’t gained an ability from the core?
Qin Hua shook her head as everything fell into place and she was slowly understanding this world better and better.
[Waaah! This is cheating!! Why wasn’t there one more demonic core for me?!] She sat on the ground covering her head with her two front paws as if the sky had fallen down.
[Sigh. Alright. At least he is okay. Let me check what happened to me now…]
Qin Hua pouted cutely, resting her big furry head on the couch next to Su Yan, and opened all the notifications that she hadn’t paid attention to earlier.
<Ding. You have leveled up. Level 5 -> Level 6>
<Ding. You have leveled up. Level 6 -> Level 7>
<Ding. You have leveled up. Level 7 -> Level 8>
<Ding. You have leveled up. Level 8 -> Level 9>
The pout on the little dog’s face slowly became a smile after looking at the several notifications one by one, her eyes especially glued onto the last one.
<Congratulations. You have unlocked a new skill – Shadow cloning>
<Shadow Cloning: Generate a clone from a shadow; Able to perceive everything that the clone perceives; Able to switch positions with the clone>
Woof! Woof!!
Qin Hua almost drooled reading the definition of the skill.
She had also gained some additional stat points and her health and other attributes had increased, but this was the upgrade she was most excited about it.
[Shadow cloning!] She quickly activated the skill to check it out first. She waited and watched for something awesome to happen, but surprisingly nothing happened.
[Eh? Why is the skill not working?]
As her green and blue eyes darted here and there, she couldn’t help but notice that there was no shadow or darkness nearby.
The pitch black husky quickly jumped on its feet and wobbled over to a patch of darkness near the window and stood in the darkness itself before activating the skill once again.
Shadow cloning!
Almost immediately, black wisps started materializing out of the darkness and another huge figure started coalescing right next to her.
[He He He! I knew it! Awesome] Qin Hua licked her lips in excitement. Standing near her was another husky, big and pitch black just like her, except for the eyes.
The clone had a pair of dark purple eyes which made it look fearsome. She beamed in delight and extended her paw to touch the clone to see what it was.
Woof! Woof!! Just as she had expected, her paw went right through the clone as if the thing in front of her was just air. Except for a cold chilly sensation, she didn’t feel anything else.
[Fuuuu… Alright. Not bad for a start. Let’s try switching places now.]
And bingo! The very next second their positions had completely switched!!
[I love this skill!]
Qin Hua’s eyes sparkled and she immediately got an idea.
