Reincarnated as a Dog with System Novel

Chapter 7 - My Master Is A Closet Monster?

Qin Hua started her rigorous training at full speed. She first started at the edge of the blanket which was drooping on the floor and followed it all the way to the top.

Su Yan tossed and turned a couple of times, but ultimately was fast asleep for the entire duration.

Around 3 am in the morning, the devil’s hour, the naughty puppy was still busily gnawing at the blanket, when a weird shadow appeared on the salmon-colored wall.

Qin Hua looked up with her eyes full of surprise. The shadow looked like some sort of a monster outline from the beauty and the beast movie.

She blinked a couple of times and stared at the empty wall again, only to see that the shadow did not disappear in the slightest.

[Fuck. Is this a real-life ghost sighting? I have already reincarnated as a dog and ended up with some weird video game system.]

[And now a ghost? Are you fucking kidding me?]

Qin Hua slowly looked away, in a vain attempt to act like she was asleep. Maybe then the ghost wouldn’t harm her?

But as she turned her head down, her eyes finally fell on the slender figure resting on the bed.

Previously, her entire attention was on the wall and she didn’t notice the person on the bed, but now that her eyes fell on Su Yan, Qin Hua was completely flabbergasted.

She slowly inched away from the bed shivering in fear.

The boy whose scrawny chest was rhythmically heaving up and down just a few seconds ago was no longer to be seen.

In his place, a weird creature rested.

The torso of the creature still looked human but the face and hands were covered by a sort of blackish scales.

The faint moonlight seeping into the room was pristinely reflected by these metallic scales making the creature seem unnaturally otherworldly.

Qin Hua shuddered. [Am I going crazy??]

She screamed inside her head, too scared to even let out a gasp. Who knows what was going to happen if the monster awakened??

She slowly inched further and further away from the bed, cowering in fear.

Damn it. She had guts! She even dared to nibble the blanket of a crazy monster.

She hid in a dark corner of the room for the rest of the night, too scared to move another muscle.

And the night ticked away just like that in deathly silence, with only the intermittent vibrations from Su Yan’s phone resting on his nightstand.

For the first one hour, Qin Hua mostly kept her head down and prayed that the monster doesn’t notice her.

But the next hour, she was a bit more daring and peeked intermittently at the now snoring monster.

And after a few more minutes, something even more terrifying happened!

The monster had spotlessly converted back to her gentle, handsome, and elegantly sleeping master, Su Yan!!

Qin Hua was going crazy. She was going as crazy as the phone on Su Yan’s nightstand.

Apparently, something equally ridiculous and stupendous was going down tonight somewhere else as well.

Qin Hua shook her head like a maniac. She looked again and the same handsome guy was sleeping.

Maybe she was imagining things. [Never mind]

Tired from all the hallucinations and the fake drama, Qin Hua drifted asleep in the dark corner of the room.

She only woke up when Su Yan loudly screamed in the morning.

[Huh? Uh?] Qin Hua slightly pried open her eyes, still very obviously drowsy, and peeked at the commotion.

But her eyes immediately widened in surprise and she sobered up in a second.

In front of her eyes were a totally ruined bed and the half-eaten blanket!

[Damn it. I only nibbled the blanket. What is happening?]

Then she remembered the monster from the night, and could clearly visualize the destruction unleashed by the monster peacefully tossing and turning in its sleep.

[Ahhh. That monster is real!]

But she didn’t have any more time to reflect on that realization, rather her focus was on the very angry handsome young man who was currently glaring at her.

Time to use her godly skill – Plead!

No one escapes the almighty sad puppy eye gaze.

“Little White!! Why did you do this??” Su Yan nearly cried, unable to get angry or frustrated with the cute little furball.

Normally, he wouldn’t care so much, but with the world outside going crazy with lightning on one day and corrosive rain on the next, who knows when he might be able to replace his bedding!

Because of this naughty little furball, he might have to sleep on blankets on the carpeted floor!

“Ughh…” He sighed loudly and took a few breaths. He then lifted the poor little puppy which looked very repentant and apologetic.

“Well, whatever!” On seeing the cuteness up close, Su Yan’s usual smile returned back to his face and he put the furball back on the floor.

He still needed to clean the floor and salvage what was remaining, so he had a busy day ahead.

Su Yan patiently tried to clear the chaos when a loud scream interrupted his cleaning.

“What happened now?” He rushed to Lu Chen’s room to check on his friend.
