Damien flew around the island, enjoying the beautiful mesmerizing view of the place, especially the sparkling blue ocean that seemed as if they were the waters of heaven.
He still found it surreal that this island he was now standing on once belonged to the outside world. But then, if he was to think like that, then wasn’t the Rising Sun Continent also once a part of the outside world? Before the world out there became uninhabitable, did people come to and fro the Rising Sun Continent?
Damien had a lot of questions in his mind, and he was still thinking about what Elor said about the ancient history of this world. He was curious as to what dangers were lying beyond this world, and if that was the case, how was he going to help Luna find her soul shards without going outside? After all, he still had a promise to keep to her and had no plans in backing out of it even if it meant risking his life, especially after everything that had happened.
Damien tried flying over the ocean and beyond the horizon to see if he could make it out of this island. But as expected, after passing a certain distance, he found himself flying back towards the shores, making him wryly smile. He felt that whoever designed this barrier surely had a good grasp over space laws.
He decided to head back to the house after collecting some ripe, tasty fruits, including some which he felt Reva would love.
As he descended near the house, he saw that Reva and Elor were engaged in deep discussion, and they seemed to have gotten familiar with each other quickly, not that he was surprised.
“Damien…” Reva was wondering where Damien had gone since he had been away for at least a few hours and couldn’t help but smile seeing him coming back.
After going through these tumultuous and painful events, she felt his presence most soothing to her and wanted to be beside him always.
“Grand son-in-law, it seems that my granddaughter has quite the high praise for you. She couldn’t stop talking about you despite her nature. It seems that I underestimated the relationship between you two,” Elor said with a hearty chuckle. His face was looking a lot brighter than before, and it was obvious that reuniting with his granddaughter had made his heart and mind regain some peace and happiness in these tough times.
Damien gave an awkward smile as he laid down the fruits on the table, “Well, I can’t stop thinking about her as well,” He said as he looked at Reva with an endearing look, making her shyly look away with a red face.
Elor could feel the romantic tension in the air between the two and felt that these two needed some alone time since they must have never really enjoyed a proper couple of times because of how things were in the Rising Sun Continent.
So he said, “You two should go to the beach and enjoy the sight and rejuvenate your minds and bodies. At least you two deserve that even if trouble is waiting for us back home.”
He then sent a secret message transmission to Damien, “Reva is feeling guilty and sad about losing the other Forsaken bases. It will be up to you to cheer her up and distract her mind from all the sadness and pain. She already went through enough in her life. So I am leaving her in your hands.”
“No problem, grandpa. I was thinking the same as well,” Damien candidly said as he walked up to Reva and put out his hand, “You coming for a walk on the beach?”
Reva slowly raised her head to look up at him and nodded with a smile as she held his hand and got up from the bed.
She then looked at Elor, who said, “Don’t worry about me. I will be here looking after your grandmother. I can’t wait to see her wake up healthy.”
Reva silently nodded, but then she got startled when Damien suddenly pulled her outside the room and whispered in her ears, “I want you to do me one favor. Put these on and come to the beach. I will be waiting.”
Before Reva could process what he just said, he had already zoomed out of the house like a lightning bolt and disappeared while she had a blinking expression as she looked in the direction he left.
She then felt some fabric in her hands, and when she looked at it, her face became red till her neck as she mumbled with an aggrieved look, “He can’t be serious…”
Damien had a playful smirk on his face as he flew out of the house and landed on the beach. He didn’t even give Reva time to think about it and decided to patiently wait for her as he saw the skies preparing to welcome the sunset.
He also removed his robes and decided to put on some beachwear which was nothing but a simple trouser while his torso was naked.
After around thirty minutes, which was indeed a surprising amount of time for someone to put on simple beachwear, Damien felt that this was natural for Reva as he heard her nervous mosquito-like voice from behind, “D-Damien…”
He turned around with hidden excitement and as he saw the voluptuous figure of the divine beauty standing before him with a red face, her gaze too embarrassed to meet his, while her hands were timidly covering her huge snowy breasts and her forbidden region.
“Come on, Reva. Show me the beachwear I gave you. If you cover it like that, then how will I appreciate it?” Damien said as he swallowed his saliva while his breath already began to quicken, seeing such a tantalizing sight, especially when a dignified cold princess like her was showing so much of her fair unblemished skin. Her embarrassed expression was only turning him on even more.
“You are so not fair…” Reva complained in an embarrassed manner as she finally swallowed her hesitation and lowered her hands, making Damien’s jaw slack as he saw an otherworldly sight.
