WARNING!!]
[An forced mission is been given to the host]
[Get out of the clutches of Alman and his goons.]
[Mission rewards=????]
[Mission penalty=????]
As Arvin saw the information in front of him he got confused by those messages…
‘Why was he able to see those messages? How the hell did this happen? And what does that message meant by forced mission? What is going on?’ questions like this started erupting in his brain.
But then he calmed himself down. His first and only priority right now was to get out of here as soon as possible. As this was also his mission then if he got out of here he would kill two birds with one arrow. So he pushed all these questions out of his mind and got from his bed. He first went to the window to see where the hell he was.
Out of the window, he could see rows of two-story buildings. It was like he was in a township. All the houses looked the same. And the worst part was that he was on the second floor. He wanted to try the door from which Alman had come. But he was afraid that if walks out and someone sees him then all efforts will be worthless. Arvin looked down and saw that below the house was a small alley. That alley was made by embedding stone in the ground. So jumping from the second floor was out of option. It was then he noticed a pipe that was coming from the roof of the house and was going down the alley.
As Arvin saw the pipe he had an idea in his brain. It was a risky idea. He thought that he should go down the pipe. But it was a very risky thing to do. After all, he did not know whether the pipe would be able to sustain his weight or not. If he slips down from the pipe then it would be the same as jumping from the second floor.
Arvin then started thinking about alternatives. As he was not able to think of any other alternative, he thought it was worth a shot to try the pipe plan. So Arvin gulped his saliva and went out of the window…

<A.N- Tribute to my first Patron Jonny.>
Jonny was a goon of Alman. He had been working with Alman for six years, so he knew the business they were in pretty much in and out. Every 6 months, 500 earthlings from the earth are transported in Yggdrasil in mysterious ways. And then they must find as many earthlings as they can and bring them to the cities.
It was a very lucrative job on the 1st floor. And the sole reason for this was because of earthlings. As earthlings come here they are granted exceptional potential by the monoliths. Earthlings just have to touch the monoliths and they will be granted exceptional potential. Some people from earth coined this exceptional potential as ‘cheat abilities’. And every human gets them.
Jonny had seen the extent of ‘cheat abilities’.
And they are terrifying. With this exceptional potential, an earthling can master anything he wants. He had seen the best swordsman and a good friend that he knew beaten with a knife by an earthling. And the worst part was that the earthling that beat his friend up was learning swordsmanship for the last 1 year. It was just outrageous if someone thinks about it…
A person who is learning swordsmanship for 1 year beating another person in swordsmanship who was a swordsman for the last 13 years. That was the monstrous potential of these so-called earthlings.
But soon people started to realize that with this kind of monstrous potential, these earthlings are not a threat but could become valuable assets. So all the big warlords and merchants started raising earthlings. At first, some tried to make earthlings slaves by capturing them. But soon they realize that with this kind of potential every human could easily break out of the spell. It would take some time but they will eventually break out of it.
Jonny had heard rumors about a spell from which earthlings cannot break out. But it is found on the 40th floor. Brining the spell here alone would cost them so much that it will not be worth their investment. So they started making earthlings partners…
Merchants and the nobles decided that it would the best to make humans their partners. They would provide them with food, shelter, money, and woman/man for their allegiance for some time. Within that period no earthling will be able to disobey the commands of these people. And after that, they are free to go.
It was the safest and most viable option. An earthling had the right to even deny the contract if they wanted. From this merchants and nobles have their never replenishing army while they are also able to nurture earthlings. One might think that it was quite a hefty price to pay. But it is the safest one of them all. After all, making a human enemy will likely cost you more than some coins…
Jonny was ordered to look after the crippled boy that had fainted during the god’s blessing ceremony. God’s blessing ceremony is a formal ceremony where earthlings are gathered in the square to touch the monolith.
One can guess the potential of an individual by seeing the density of haze that enters the earthling’s body. That is why nobles and rich merchants especially come to this event.
Today’s event was special. People on the 1st floor had discovered that one can speculate the potential of a person by testing their mental fortitude. Higher the metal fortitude higher the chance that the earthling will become someone powerful in the future. Salman and his subordinates attack all the earthlings with a mental attack when they enter the city. It is not a harmful attack. But people with weak hearts and weak mental strength usually faints after the attack.
This way Alman can distinguish between the people with the best potential and one person who is supposed to be cannon fodder. That cripple that was lying upstairs may be a cripple from earth’s standard, but here he had a chance to become someone powerful. His crippleness could be easily cured by some potions. The same could be said for his face too. But despite that, no one can guarantee his working potential. But Alman had ways from which he would be able to sell for money. That is why Alman was keeping him around.
As Jonny got upstairs to look for the cripple he saw the last thing that he expected…
The room was empty.
