The Devil's Sweetheart Novel

Chapter 36 - Flying Kiss

Finally filling the landing papers from the flight attendants, Leena was about to leave but Devin stopped her.

“Do you think I can’t find your name?” Devin whispered behind her and chuckled how nervous she has been behaving as if he would look at her name.

“Go and find out.” She stomped on his feet, her high heels sending a chilling pain to his leg again.

“She is a devil disguised in an angel form.” He shrieked with pain, rooting to the ground with numbness.

Completing all the formalities, Leena started to move towards the exit door, when suddenly she found him walking along with her.

“Are are you following me?” She yelled at him.

“Why yes? Of course Miss Pervert. We are very close right and I happen to know only you in Seattle. So naturally, I am following you.” He lied covering his face with a mask not to attract any of the crowd or his fans.

“Show off man.” She mumbled looking at him covering his face. Did he think he is the only specimen with attractive features? I am more beautiful compared to him. She badly wanted to take her own mask, if she has not forgotten in her home.

“Give me the address, we will go together.” He wanted to tease her more before parting their way, for now. If not for the urgent meeting, he would have stuck to her like glue.

“But I_I will be staying at my friend’s home.” Leena couldn’t believe she is stuttering while speaking especially in front of a man.

“I don’t have a problem staying at stranger’s_”

Panic drove Devin when Leena suddenly held the cuff of his shirt weekly. She stumbled over her steps and was about to collapse on the floor when Devin caught her making her lean on his chest.

“Sweetheart, what’s wrong?” He nervously asked stroking her cheeks, worried about her sudden sickness. He checked her temperature and oddly he felt it was normal. Devin was about to question her again when Leena weekly mumbled which he was finding hard to hear with the bustling crowd.

“Wa_ter, my stomach hurts. Water.” Those were the only words she could utter at the moment.

“Shh, don’t panic, I will get you.” Grabbing her waist, he picked her in his arms and strode towards the lounge area with his tall legs. He gingerly placed her on the seat holding her head anxiously.

“Don’t go anywhere. I will come back In a minute.” He gently patted her head and walked out to get water and the medicines.

After turning the pharmacy upside down for mere water bottles and medicines, he rushed towards the lounge, anxiety was written all over his face when she was barely whispering. He went towards the seat where he placed his little kit before going to the pharmacy, only to find it empty now. Where did she go? His hands were shaking with panic, his eyes darting all over the airport looking for the figure, but she was nowhere to be found.

Finally, he noticed a figure sneaking out of the exit from one of the gates. He clenched his fists, pressing his eyes for being played.

“You traitor. Did you really use me for this?” He cursed at himself for buying her theory easily. He knew something was wrong when he felt her temperature was normal, but he was not in a state of thinking seeing his little kit.

Don’t let me catch you today. Devin was noting down all her mischiefs internally to get all his revenge when the time comes.

Sitting in the cab, Leena gave the destination address to the driver and sighed in relief after escaping from him. If, not for her fast reflexes, she would have been caught by that devil for masking him. She was about to close her eyes, when she caught sight of someone from the rearview mirror, clearly looking annoyed.

“Driver uncle, can you please slow down the car?” She politely asked the driver. Let’s add spice to his wound Leena.

“Sure madam.”

She opened the car window, sticking her head out of it, she waved him fervently until his attention was on her. She stuck her tongue out at him when he furiously looked at her.

She even gave a flying kiss and mouthed a goodbye.
