Chapter 61: Negotiations
“Apologize!” Aakesh coldly declared. His voice, colder enough to make Pinto remember the tortures he went through in the illusions.
“Please forgive me for trying to kill you,” Pinto apologized right away, banging his head onto the floor.
“Ask for forgiveness from my potential customers you could have killed,” Aakesh ordered.
As if he were a mindless puppet, Pinto apologized like a frightened animal, “Please forgive me for risking the life of your potential customers.”
“Good, now you can die!” Aakesh announced as he waved his hands. The next moment, Pinto disintegrated in his entirety. Relief could be seen in his eyes at his last moment. Death was like the sweetest thing to happen to him at that moment.
[Ding.]
[The mission ‘Punishment’ has been successfully completed.]
[Mission completion percentage: 60%, Reward: random skill.]
[Reward calculating…]
[Skill ‘Counter Shield’ successfully rewarded.]
The next moment, Aakesh heard several notifications about the completion of the quest. His mission completion percentage was only 60%. If he would’ve been able to force Pinto to apologize on his own, his percentage would have been way more than 60%.
After hearing the name of the skill he received as a reward, he heaved a sigh of relief. From the name of the skill, he was confident that it was a defensive skill.
He had several skills at this moment, but not one of them could help him in either offense or defense. If he had even one of the skills belonging to either of the categories, he wouldn’t have gotten injured.
He didn’t check the details of the skills right now as he was currently outside his store, and he still had a business left to do. His eyes then fell upon Barry, who was lying unconscious not far from where he was right now.
He extended his hand, and Barry flew to him right away, with his neck stopping in his hand. “Wake up!” He said while staring at Barry.
Like a magical spell, Barry woke up. He was confused at first, and his eyes were blurry, but when he got clear vision back, and the memories before falling unconscious started coming back to him, his face turned pale from fear.
“What do you want to do to me?” He horrifiedly said after finding his neck in Aakesh’s hold.
“Are you stupid? Didn’t I tell you your family’s time has come? So, what else would I do with you except killing you and your family members?” Aakesh casually spoke, making Barry even paler. Barry looked like a ghost right now.
“Please let me go! I would give you everything you own,” Barry cryingly pleaded to Aakesh to leave him alive. Aakesh, instead of responding, looked at him like he was looking at the stupidest person in the Multiverse.
“I am not lying. I will give you everything. You can kill everybody, but please let me go,” Snots started coming out of Barry’s nose as he pleaded. He even gave up his family so that he could survive.
“Are you stupid? Why would I let you go for your wealth if I could still get that after killing you?” Aakesh smilingly responded. Aakesh couldn’t help but smile, seeing Barry’s stupidity. If Maria were here, she would be surprised to see Aakesh smiling, but this smile was the smile of the devil for Barry.
“Please-“
“Okay, enough! I am not going to waste my entire day talking to you,” Barry wanted to plead, but Aakesh cut his speech off in between. He would’ve allowed him to plead more, but he also wanted to check out the details of the skill he had just gotten.
The next moment, he lightly poked Barry’s head, and it burst into smithereens. Barry’s last expressions were mixtures of unwillingness, regret, and hatred. He hated Aakesh, but right now, he hated his son Ben even more than Aakesh. If not for him, this monster would’ve never come into their life. But alas, there is no medicine of regret, especially when your enemy is a being like Aakesh, who doesn’t even think twice before killing.
Not a single drop of Barry’s blood touched Aakesh’s skin. It vaporized just by the aura released by his body.
“Now, what should we do with them?” He then looked at several beings lying unconscious in the throne room and whispered.
“Let’s kill them!” Lily added as she appeared on his shoulder. She still hadn’t vented his frustration. Aakesh killed both Pinto and Barry.
“No, they are innocent in this case!” Aakesh refused right away the killing idea. He didn’t mind killing people, but that didn’t mean he would go out of his way and kill persons who had nothing to do with him.
Lily puffed her cheeks in anger after the fourth straight refusal. He couldn’t help but smile, seeing puffed Lily. He tried to squish her face, but she jumped away before he could reach her.
“Okay, I would let you kill him. He isn’t innocent in this case. He forced the guards to arrest me,” Aakesh tried to coax angry Lily while pointing at Johnny.
“Really!” She exclaimed as she reappeared on his shoulder.
“Yes, but only when you let me squish your face,” He demanded. He made a play out of someone’s death only to play with Lily.
“No!” Lily refused straight away. They both then started bargaining for it. At any cost, Aakesh wanted to squish Lily’s face.
After a few rounds of negotiations, Aakesh decided to give Aakesh three permissions to go out any time and let her kill Johnny. Only then would she let him squish her face. He agreed to her conditions, but he had no idea what problems he was going to face in the future due to these three permissions.
She then killed Johnny by using the skill ‘Epochal Fire’. Her shoulders slumped down after the death of Johnny as she expected the fire to burn him for some time, and she would avenge Aakesh’s injury by torturing Johnny, but even in less than a nano-second, he burnt into ashes.
“Haha, if you’d use such an overpowered skill on someone, how would they survive enough to feel torture?” Aakesh laughingly said as he rubbed Lily’s fur.
