The First Store System Novel

Chapter 73 - New Products

Chapter 73: New Products

After looking at the details about the two new pills, he focused on the new shelf that had appeared after the completion of the quest.

There were five sections on the shelf containing five pills. The pills on the upper shelf had the same texture as the pills on the lower shelf, but the upper rack shone because of the splendor released by the pill.

He then looked at the information written just below them. They were:

(I) First-grade medium body healing pill: It can allow the user to heal even severed limbs. It costs 25 ordinary Primal stones,

(II) First-grade medium mental healing pill: It can heal the traumas of the being up to Void Forging level. It costs 50 ordinary Primal stones,

(III) First-grade medium dantian healing pill: It can heal the dantian up to the Void Forging level. It costs 75 ordinary Primal stones,

(IV) First-grade medium blood explosion pill: It allows the user to go on a berserk mode without losing control by burning their blood. It costs 50 ordinary Primal stones,

(V) First-grade medium energy meditation pill: It helps the user in their meditation, starting from Nascent Soul. It costs ten ordinary Primal stones.

“So, it’s just an upgrade of the past and newly added pills,” Aakesh whispered after reading the details. “Hey, system, are you sure the people here are ready to buy pills costing in ordinary Primal stones?” He then asked the system as even a single ordinary Primal stone equals 100 inferior Primal stones, so it was an outrageous price for a Kingdom like the Bisan Kingdom.

[Yes, Host. If there are valuable things, people buy them despite their prices, and we are selling the best of products at such a low price, so crowds will gather to buy them after finding out about it.]

The system responded in its mechanical and emotionless voice. “Yeah, I see the crowd waiting all day to buy the pills in the store,” Aakesh mocked the system in response to what it said.

[Host, are you ready for the new product?]

The system ignored Aakesh’s mocking and instead asked his eagerness for the new product. “Of course, why wouldn’t I be ready?” He excitedly responded.

The next moment, a giant roulette appeared in front of him. There were several blocks of different colors representing a different product. Several blocks even had a question mark on them.

[Host, roll it whenever you’re ready.]

The system announced. Aakesh nodded and thought about rotating the roulette. The next moment, giant roulette started spinning with unimaginable speed. With every second passing, the spinning rate decreased. After a few seconds, the roulette finally stopped, with its hand pointing at a red block representing a red question mark.

The roulette then disappeared, and only the red question mark remained floating in the air. The question mark then started fading into nothingness. When the question mark completely faded, only a box remained in place of it.

The box then fell into Aakesh’s hands. He confusedly opened the box and found a key in it. The moment he took the key in his hands, he noticed a blinding light on one of the door locks. “So, it’s the key of that door,” He commented while looking at both the key and the door, respectively.

“Hey, system, why would I get a key in place of the products, or do the locked rooms here represent different products?” He asked the system before trying to open the door.

[Yes, Host. The different doors here represent rare distinctive products. The roulette acts based on fate, and since your luck was high, you got one of the few unique products in the draw that you could only get after completing the quests.]

The system responded. “Let’s see then, what is this one of the rarest products?” He commented as he took a step in the direction of the door. The next moment, he appeared in front of the door.

The door lock’s shining intensity increased by several folds when the key arrived near it. Aakesh didn’t wait and tapped the key on the door lock.

The next moment, the key melted into the door lock, and then the door lock started dispersing into light particles. After the door lock completely scattered into light, “Creak!” the door opened with a loud groaning sound.

The room looked dark from the outside, he took a step inside the room, and the light appeared, erasing the darkness. A stunned expression appeared on his face as the room was like a different world when compared to the store.

There was a concrete floor instead of Ashamba in the room. There were murals of myriad creatures painted on the wall on all sides. From the outside, the room looked small, but once inside, it appeared the same size as the store outside.

In the center of the room, there were five products covered in red clothes. Aakesh tried to see through the clothes, but he couldn’t, so he manually went and took clothes away from one of the products.

The next moment, a tiny black-hole like portal presented itself. Aakesh took all the clothes away from the other product, and he found the same thing covered in red clothes. Aakesh knew what it was, so a confused expression appeared on his face, and he asked the system, “Hey, system, would we also act as the transportation company for the customers.”

[Host, these dimensional portals aren’t for travel. These are the virtual portals. It would allow the customers to experience a virtual world without the fear of death, and it would also give powerups and many rewards to the user.]

The system explained about the portals to Aakesh. “Are you sure? We should have something like this early?” He asked as it would completely change the dynamics of the Kingdoms here. Who wouldn’t want to get powerful without any threat of death? Even Heavenly Monarch and Demigods would desire this technology.

[Host, you got it randomly in the roulette, so you’ve no choice but to start selling it from tomorrow since the dawn has already come today.]

The system responded. “Hey, system, what are the charges for using the virtual portal?” He asked the system. If he had a choice, he wouldn’t have opened it right away, but since he got it due to his luck, there’s no point in hiding it.

[Host, the charges are right beside the door.]

The system informed him. “I’ll check it later, then,” He muttered.. How could he not check the virtual portal before the customers? Thinking this, he took his step forward and entered the portal.
