The First Store System Novel

Chapter 76 - Massacre

Chapter 76: Massacre

“Why would you create such a terrible character as the enemy?” Aakesh asked the system.

[Host, the quest for gaining the virtual world was supposed to activate when you reached the sacred dimension, but you received it on the product roulette, making it your product.]

“Doesn’t that mean its fee would be high?” He then asked the system. If the world was supposed to activate in the sacred dimension, doesn’t that mean it would also take the currency used in that dimension?

[No, Host. The fee for entering the virtual world would be based on the dimension it is activated in, so the price the customers would have to pay would be based on the primal dimension. This world is vast enough to accommodate populations of thousands of Universes at the same time, and it has enough stories for all of them to be part of and grow stronger.]

“Hey, system, would I be able to take the skills out for free if I gain them in Panagea?” He asked the system, as the system had told him if customers paid the sufficient amount, they could even take the inheritance out.

[Yes, Host. Everything belonging to the store is free for you.]

The system responded in its emotionless and mechanical voice. Aakesh nodded and stopped asking questions. He decided to check the world he was in before returning to the real world. He still had today’s match left.

“What’s the name of-”

“RUN! THE BEAST HORDE IS COMING!” Aakesh was asking a passerby the name of the place he was currently in when suddenly a shout echoed in the entire market. The next moment, he saw the people in there closing their shop and running as if it was not the first time they were facing this.

While Aakesh was watching the scene of chaos, suddenly, a blue transparent screen appeared in front of him. He stopped watching the crowd and focused on the display in front of him. Red letters started appearing on the screen.

[Adventurer, the town of Wolfden needs your service!

The town of Wolfden is near the den of silver wolves, so there would be a horde of them attacking the town from time to time. The town can’t handle any more casualties, so join the brave guards of Wolfden and help them kill those terrible creatures.

Be careful while fighting silver wolves, for they are strong and swift. Kill as many wolves as you like: the fewer the wolves, the safer Wolfden will be.

You would gain the ability to manipulate energy if you successfully reduce the casualties by 25%. Your reward would increase with the decrease in the number of dead.]

“Oh, a quest right away!” Aakesh murmured after reading the contents of the display.

He needed the reward as he was currently an ordinary mortal in Panagea. If he wanted to grow strong and take it out in real life, he needed to have the ability to manipulate energy.

The next moment, the blue display disappeared, and instead, a number in blood-red appeared in front of him. It said 1400.

“So, I can’t let more than 1000 people die if I want to get the reward,” He murmured after reading the number. If he had to save people, he needed to fight from the start, so he rushed in the opposite direction of the crowd running to safety.

Many in the crowd tried to stop him, and many in the crowd praised him for fighting for themselves, seeing Aakesh rushing in the direction of the horde.

When Aakesh reached there, the fight between the guards of Wolfden and silver wolves had already begun. Seeing the battle, he didn’t wait and jumped into the crowd of wolves. He didn’t have a weapon, so he had to fight using his bare hands. He punched one of the wolves on its head, but instead of injuring the wolf, it made it angry.

Aakesh had an expressionless face, seeing the reaction of the wolf. He grabbed the head of the wolf and pushed it on the ground with his full force. He then did it continuously since it didn’t die in one or two hits, while other wolves started surrounding him.

After the wolf died, he snapped out its fangs and started using them as a weapon. Silver wolves were known for their agility, but between Aakesh and them, there was no competition. He had learned so many battle forms that focused on agility that the wolves looked like a child in comparison to him.

It looked like he was dancing in the middle of the wolves as with every swing of the wolf fangs, he cleanly took down a wolf.

Time flew by, and the corpse of the wolves started accumulating near him. Even many of the guards stopped fighting and watched the massacre Aakesh brought on the silver wolves. The pain-filled howls of the wolves continuously echoed on the battlefield.

His unlimited endurance came into the virtual world with him, so he still wasn’t tired. He was covered in the silver blood of the wolves while an aura of massacre emanated from him. His movements only grew quicker with every passing second.

He had killed so many wolves that even the wolves started running from him. Many injured guards took cover around him as there were no wolves near Aakesh, but he couldn’t wait here. He needed to kill as many wolves as possible to make the entire horde flee. Killing the complete crowd was even impossible for him as there were wolves exceeding hundreds of thousands in a pack, and the wolf king hadn’t even arrived yet. At least a million wolves would follow the wolf king if he entered the fray.

Aakesh then rushed over to another group of wolves some distance away from him. There was already an intense fight between guards and wolves. Numerous corpses were lying across the ground in different conditions.

He involved himself in the group right away. One of the wolves was just a single second away from ripping the head of a guard when suddenly a blue flash occurred. The wolf didn’t even have the time to howl as its head fell to the ground while its other part struggled.

Aakesh didn’t just stop there. With every swing of his, one wolf head flew. In less than a minute, he killed the group of 50 wolves and freed the guards from the battle.. He then rushed to another group without stopping.
