The comments once again went into upheaval because of what Xiang Yi had said.
Someone uttered the meek sentence [My college classmate was at the live shooting, and I hear that it really is Xiang Yi’s home… She was the one who offered it to be the film location…]
Unfortunately, there were too many comments and this particular one disappeared in the blink of an eye, like a drop of water submerged into the sea without even a splash.
The earthen pot chicken has to be simmered for a while before the flavour could get in. The Yan father and son continued to gaze at the pot with sparkling eyes. Even when Xiang Yi repeatedly said that even if there wasn’t fire, the temperature inside the furnace was enough to maintain a simmer, the two would not stop their work.
An elder and a youngster were very clever in their greed.
“Is there any sour plum soup leftover from lunch?” Yan Zhenhua swallowed. “This chicken will be salty if we eat too much, right?”
Yan Nai: “Cola is good, too. With some ice cubes.”
Xiang Yi was delightfully entertained, her eyes forming into half moons. “We have both sour plum soup and cola, and there’s also some plum wine in the house from before as well. Does Director Yan want to try it?”
Yan Zhenhua’s eyes lit up. “You know how to brew? Then I’m really in for it today.”
“Not really, plum wine is quite simple to brew,” Xiang Yi said modestly as she stood up to fetch the wine.
Tong Tong—or the wittle tiger—had taken a bath and cleaned his fur, becoming soft and cute. He had evolved into a cute and loving little kitty, walking around lazily as if he had come to inspect the territory.
As soon as he entered, he caught the eye of several viewers.
Li Jianyu acted as a narrator, explaining: “This is the cat we found this afternoon. His name is Xiao Naohu* (Wittle Tiger).”
—[What a cute cat I could kill ten by sitting on them]
—[Baby, what’s your favorite color of rucksack??]
—[Can I ask where you found the cat? I’m eagerly awaiting]
The cameraman generously took a few closeup shots of Xiao Naohu. The arrogant and haughty cat walked around on his short legs until it stopped at Shi Sui’s feet.
“Meow?”
Xiao Naohu tilted his head curiously, feeling that Shi Sui had a familiar aura, as if it was someone he knew.
Could it be… He’s also a world traveler?
Impossible.
Before he was reborn, he had checked the information of this world, and there was only Xiang Yi.
Ah, he didn’t think his head would hurt so much.
Shi Sui lowered his peachy eyes as he picked up the cat by the nape of his neck, holding him in his arms as he gently stroked at it a few times.
The man and cat met each other’s gazes, and the scene was beautiful and harmonious.
—[Ahhh ah ahhh I want to be held by gege, too]
—[I’m so sour, I’m so sour! I’m not even good enough to be a cat]
—[Shi Yingdi is so gentle; what a nice man. I’m going to nose bleed]
Xiao Naohu had been enjoying being pampered by humans until he heard the sound of footsteps approaching. The cat’s ears trembled and suddenly screamed: “Meow!”
Xiang Yi heard his cry and hurried over. She put down the tray with drinks, pulling Xiao Naohu from Shi Sui as she stared at him.
Xiao Naohu began to rub against her in her arms, purring as if he’d been wronged by heaven itself.
Xiang Yi clutched him as she retreated backwards. “Senior, please don’t bully him.”
An explicable thought came to his mind:
‘Is a cat more important than me?’
In the stream.
—[Is this the legendary green… green tea cat??]
—[Is this an illusion? Is Xiao Naohu trying to fight for attention?!!]
—[Why do I see in my Shi Yingdi’s eyes the feeling of being wronged??]
Shi Sui’s thin lips quirked as he tried to explain. Xiao Naohu suddenly began to meow again as Xiang Yi coaxed softly. “Be good, I’ll take you to the new cat bed, okay?”
Xiao Naohu: “Miao~”
Shi Sui: “…”
The cat was really more important than him.
*Translator’s Note: Xiao Naohu is basically a cuter way of saying ‘xiao lao hu’, which means little tiger. Since this is officially his name now, we can address him by Xiao Naohu rather than wittle tiger.
