The Kidnapped Bride Novel

Chapter 43 - Not Getting Married!

She was herself a mystery which no one was able to solve yet. Because she never let anyone know the deep past behind her.

In the eyes of everyone, she was the most innocent child, someone who can’t even go into wrongdoings. Yet, it was another fun to hide it from all of them.

But it seems that Javier already investigated her thoroughly. With sweat forming on her forehead, there isn’t much that Jennifer said either in her defense or favor.

Did she felt an intense fight in between her mind and heart to confirm her suspicion or not?

At last, her brain won when she spoke, “Y..you… found..”

“I did try but the sources were so strong that I failed miserably. It is no joke Jennifer that you have used all the possible measures that you can hide about your past and everything you have committed. Someone is definitely helping you in this..and that is not Lucas!”

His words made all the sense to her because he knew what she had done in the past very well, at least not exactly but somewhat has an idea that she is n simple lady.

These things…are better to be hidden. But deep down, she was wondering how they haven’t found her till now?

The people whom she trusts have far better technology as compared to Lucas, how come they aren’t able to trace her and get her out of this mess for it?

When she was immersed in the deep sea of her thoughts, Javier brought her back to the Earth by his words, “Moreover, some people are trying to trace you. I believe that they aren’t a part of Lucas.”

Her eyes widened in shock and surprise. No words seemed to come out of her mouth because of the sudden news that was delivered to her freshly.

At the same time, Jennifer’s heartbeat fastened where she could feel herself almost going to faint if not for the courage and straightness she used to hide her expressions from this beast. She couldn’t remember if she was ever this excited to know about something ever in her life.

“Javier…” she called his name out and said, “Stop tracing me if you are thinking of such interest. You will fail once again because those people..are out of your and everyone’s reach.”

She never raised her voice, neither did she sound overconfident but all Jennifer said was true. Those people are someone with whom they won’t ever wish to make enemies.

Especially after living with Javier for so long, Jenifer doesn’t want something bad to happen to him, just because of the miscommunication between her group and her.

Javier looks at her with his intense gaze, not tearing away his eyes from her face. She was the most polite and full of morals. It was impossible to believe that she could do something wrong in her life?

‘Or.. does Jennifer have some other face which she is hiding from the rest of the world and never wish to come in front of others and be hidden always?’ he can’t guarantee it but this was the only possibility in front of his eyes.

But his consecutive staring made her feel a little bit conscious. She lowered her face and drank the rest of the water in her glass, slowly and slowly, to avoid eye contact with him.

“So you accept that you have your secrets as well.”

“In the world, no one is guilty free neither am I. You must be having your secrets and I have them too, without any doubt but there is always the limit or the privacy we have and I would like to keep that to myself.” they aren’t close and she never wishes to disclose them either.

If in near future, the time comes where she feels that they have grown closer to each other, she would definitely tell him everything honestly but as he says when the right time comes everyone will be revealed and don’t hear it.

Javier looked at her face for a few more seconds and then nodded his head, but deep in his heart, the impatientness to dig her past was growing at a high speed. ‘Control yourself, Javier. She won’t like it either.’

He stood up from his seat and walked near the window where the sunrise was seen on the beach. It was the most beautiful view, with the sun rays falling inside the bedroom and Jennifer just watching his broad back, his hands tucked inside his pockets. The view was great but she won’t deny that his body was no less than any male model.

She felt herself drooling over it, losing her real state of mind in his deep eyes and never getting enough. Why? What is happening to her? Is she worried about him? Maybe yes but there is no definite answer in her pouch.

When Jennifer averted her gaze to concentrate on her own inner feelings, she heard his voice from the other side, “You never wished to get married and I was the simple idea to it. I made things easier for you, didn’t I?”

No reply from her side.

But he still continued to speak what he analyzed after so long, “When the maid knocked on the door, you could have told the truth. You are such an outspoken person, I don’t think that you ever needed to lie but you lied, so that I can easily take you away and this marriage will not take place, isn’t it?”

When he already has the clue of all her answers and action, is there any need for her to say anything else?

But to extinguish what he felt, she still replies, “Yes. I was going to run away that day even if you haven’t arrived. I used you to get myself away without anything on my mind and I don’t have any plans to get married to that monster ever..”

Javier was still facing the window, but the sly smirk curved on his face when he realized the entire situation. He can’t lie to himself either, that something like this is making him happy.

The reflection of her body was seen from the mirror, and he kept on staring at it with the cold glimmer that was not leaving. She was guilty of herself being exposed so easily in front of her. He saw those eyes feeling of being uncovered and the same was bringing joy in his cold heart which was now warming with her presence near her.

The idea of hers, of not getting married to someone else lightens up his mood and brings the malicious smile at the other thought of his plans that he further has in his mind to execute.

“We are on the same track… Jennifer..”
