Chapter 31 – The Fate Of A Cannon Fodder (1)
Due to Manager Chen’s generous act of giving them the access badge, as long as Yan Shuyu had wanted to, she could take her instant son to visit every corner of the hotel. They have access even to the 18th floor and the rooftop, which even regular hotel guests were restricted from entering. Such was the right of an employee!
Yet, Yan Shuyu still decided that she should not push her luck. Manager Chen was just being nice. She was no longer an employee of the hotel. It would not be appropriate for her to wander around the hotel like it was her own backyard. Yan Shuyu didn’t want to be a tool, so she took the kiddo with her to the lounge area downstairs.
Hotel Dorsett was very well-known. Hotel Dorsett’s service and facilities were the best among all 5-star hotels, which was why it was very popular among the rich regardless of its high price. The lounge on the first floor clearly demonstrated how they always had their customers in mind: the lounge was like a club that offered food, drinks, and entertainment. Not only could one find the gym, swimming pool, game room, and a theater room, there was also a children’s playground, and everything was free to the guests.
That was so very thoughtful!
Entering the lounge with his mom, Zhang Yuanjia’s eyes rounded. He was dazzled.
The facilities in the children’s playground were leaps and bounds better than those in their kindergarten; it held an immense attraction toward little kids. Even Zhang Yuanjia, who had always been a well-behaved kid that stayed within a few steps of his mother every time they left home, couldn’t resist anymore. He tugged at his mom and asked, “Can I play for a little bit?”
Yan Shuyu smiled and nodded, “Of course! That’s why mom brought you here. You can play for a while, not a problem!”
“Thank you, mom!” Zhang Yuanjia excitedly planted a kiss on his mom before he ran over to the facilities without even looking back.
On a weekend morning, the lounge was actually busier than the lobby of the hotel. There were already a few kids playing here before they arrived. There were no parents nearby, possibly their parents had gone and sought their own entertainments. There were servers all over the place, so it was safe enough for the parents to step away.
Zhang Yuanjia was all sorts of sweet and well-behaved in front of other adults and definitely an angel in front of his unconscientious mother, even referring to himself as Yuanbao. Yet, in front of those of his same age, he was already showing a little of his manipulative nature.
Yan Shuyu watched with her own eyes that when he went to the playground, not only was he not excluded from the circle of children, he quickly befriended all the other kids. In addition, all the kids that were playing separately quickly became one group with him at the center, and everybody was having more fun. Witnessing this scene, Yan Shuyu felt oddly proud of herself. He was the one in the book to fight over the inheritance with the male lead after all. He was competent already at such a young age. It would only be a matter of time before he climbed to the top of the pyramid of life!
As she was being so proud of herself, Yan Shuyu did not forget to praise herself for her own cleverness. Finally, she had gotten rid of her clingy instant son. She could take this opportunity to return to a booth that she had her eyes set on earlier to take some selfies. The decorations there was only too perfect for a young woman her age~~
Having such a gorgeous-looking face, every time Yan Shuyu started taking selfies, she had a hard time stopping. She was completely immersed in her own beauty that when she finally remembered that she has an instant son, he was already gone from the playground.
Yan Shuyu didn’t panic too much as she spotted him almost immediately when she looked up.
The little kiddo probably got tired of playing in the playground and snuck to the entrance of the lounge area when she wasn’t paying attention. Somehow, he was able to befriend a man much older than him, and the two of them were chatting like they were old buddies.
