“Sister-in-law. Thanks to you, I witnessed a miracle today.”
An Luxia swallowed her food and looked up, “What miracle?”
Qin Wei shook his head, “Ah, you don’t know. I have never seen Mo Han ever treat someone like he treats you! So gentle and sweet!”
He shuddered, “I’m so not used to it! Sister-in-law, tell me! What secret potion did you feed to Mo Han? Give some to me too!”
An Luxia chuckled, “Secret potion? I don’t have a secret potion! Why? Are you saying that Mo Han treats you badly?”
After this time, she felt a little closer with Qin Wei, and she knew that it was fine to joke around with him.
Qin Wei scoffed, “After seeing how he treats you, yes! It is like comparing the sky to the ground!”
Mo Han glared at him and placed a large chunk of fish onto Qin Wei’s plate, “Eat your food!”
Qin Wei chuckled happily as he picked up the fish and began eating again.
The rest of the meal went by happily, and An Luxia learned a lot about what Mo Han was like in the past from Qin Wei.
He was cold, cruel, arrogant, proud, and everything she imagined the King of the Underworld to be like! However, just to her, he was different. He was gentle, considerate, humble, and kind of cute!
An Luxia couldn’t help but wonder. Was this really just because they had slept together for one night? Or maybe. . . Just maybe, he had developed feelings for her within a few days?
She did not know why, but she was happy to be the one exception in Mo Han’s world.

After a very large lunch, Qin Wei and Gu Yechen left, vowing to come and visit them again soon. Qin Wei even volunteered to bring An Luxia out to play since she was on summer break, but was mercilessly rejected by Mo Han.
An Luxia followed Mo Han into his office since he had some work to finish and she had to upload her chapter.
She sat down on the couch and opened up her laptop as Mo Han walked over to his computer.
They both worked in silence for a few minutes until suddenly, there was a ringing sound. An Luxia looked over and saw that someone was calling her.
She had the number saved, and the name of the person calling read:
‘Lu Xiamo’
An Luxia immediately knit her eyebrows together, wondering why he was still calling her. Was her rejection not serious enough? Did he take pleasure in being rejected by her?
She sighed and quickly hit publish on her newest chapter before picking up the call.
“What is it?”
There was a few seconds of silence before Lu Xiamo spoke, his voice soft and cold, “An Luxia, are you actually married?”
An Luxia furrowed her eyebrows together and resisted the urge to just hang up, “Yes, I am actually married, and maybe if you had more brain cells you would know to not call me anymore after that last meeting.”
There seemed to be a soft growling sound coming from the other side of the phone, and An Luxia frowned as she looked at her screen.
She rolled her eyes and was just about to hang up the call when she heard him say, An Luxia, you will regret this! I will definitely make you pay for what you did to me!”
Then, he hung up the call first. An Luxia stared at her home screen for a few seconds, a little confused. Um. . . So, what exactly did she do to him? And how was he going to make her pay?
She shrugged and ignored his empty threats, opening up her computer again.
“Who was it?” Mo Han asked, standing up from his desk and walking over.
“Lu Xiamo.” She chuckled, “He said he was going to make me pay for marrying you.” She leaned over to him and frowned pitifully, “King Mo Han, you have to protect me!”
He smiled as he sat down next to her, lifting her up with two hands and placing her onto his lap. An Luxia gasped softly as her entire body was lifted off the couch and onto his lap.
Underneath clothes, his arms did not look extremely bulky, and even without clothes on, they were muscular but not bulky like many fitness trainers had.
However, they were able to easily lift her up. Even if she was light, she was still a grown human! She couldn’t help but wonder how much power he held in that body.
He rested his chin onto her shoulder and An Luxia shuddered slightly as she could feel his warm breathing against her neck, tickling her.
“What are you going to do tomorrow?”
An Luxia shrugged, “I don’t know. I might go visit my parents’ shop and help out.”
Mo Han was quiet for a moment before he asked softly, “Do you want to go on a date?”
An Luxia turned her head around, looking at him in surprise. A date?
He blinked a few times, his spine straightening, “I. . . Since you said you wanted to start off as a dating couple, then I thought that we should naturally go on dates.”
An Luxia smiled and nodded her head, “Sure. I have nothing to do tomorrow.”
Mo Han’s expression brightened as he lifted her off his lap again and back onto the couch, “I’m going to go finish up some work then.”
He quickly returned to his computer and An Luxia opened her laptop, entering a famous home decoration store.
An hour later, she had made several purchases and her stomach was growling.
After eating dinner, she returned to her room. Mo Han stayed inside his office and finished up some more work before finally, the two of them went to bed together.
This night, there was no unusual movement or noise coming from inside their room. They fell asleep quickly in each other’s embrace.
—
“Are you ready yet?”
“Wait! One more minute!” An Luxia yelled from inside the closet as she carefully put on her mascara. Then, she randomly grabbed a lipstick from inside her makeup bag and quickly applied it onto her lips.
She pressed her lips together and leaned back, taking a look at herself in the mirror.
Long, elegant white dress, light makeup, straight flowing hair, the perfect first-date look! She patted herself on the back for doing so well for the first date of her first relationship!
Writing novels and watching dramas weren’t useless after all! She learned so much about dating from them. Finally, at least, it has come to some use.
She quickly grabbed her phone and ran out the closet, running into Mo Han, who was waiting for her outside the bedroom door.
“I’m ready! Sorry to keep you waiting.”
Mo Han looked down at her a little surprisedly, his eyes traveling up and down her from head to toe. She also looked up and down herself, wondering what he was looking at.
Finally, he grinned softly, grabbed onto her hand, and turned around.
“Let’s go.”
