“Luxia, you are really dating someone?”
An Luxia looked up at the guy and sighed a little helplessly before taking out her laptop from her bag, “No. . .”
She decided not to say the remaining part of the sentence: “I’m married to someone.”
She didn’t want to enter the center of the school forum again, and she wasn’t sure if this guy could handle it if she actually told him.
The entire classroom turned silent as everyone turned around to look at what was happening. Although the guy wasn’t very popular in the school, he was quite famous for his “relationship” with An Luxia.
He wore a white shirt and black pants, and had round glasses on. It wouldn’t be fair to call him handsome, but he wasn’t ugly either.
This guy named Qi Yuyang was famous in the school for having a huge crush on An Luxia since their first year together.
They were in many of the same classes when they were still college freshmans, and although many guys had secret crushes on An Luxia, none of them were as persistent and open about it as Qi Yuyang.
Since freshman, he has been following her around, and even after getting rejected several times, he was still persistent.
“Then who is this guy?”
An Luxia glanced up at his phone and saw that it was the post from yesterday, “My. . . lover.”
Perfect! A great term and it doesn’t reveal their relationship! An Luxia smiled proudly, thinking that her one brain cell didn’t fail her once again!
However, upon hearing this, Qi Yuyang’s face fell, “What?! So you two are dating! Is it really because he is rich? Luxia, I’m very rich too. Come with me. I can give you much more than this guy can!”
An Luxia pressed her lips together, fighting the urge to punch Qi Yuyang in the face, “First of all, we aren’t dating. Second of all, it isn’t because he is rich. Third of all, you can’t give me more than he can. Understand?”
“No!”
An Luxia felt her hand shake slightly as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Sometimes, she wondered if Qi Yuyang was a 5-year-old.
“It doesn’t matter. Class is starting soon. I need to get ready. Thank you for. . . thinking about me, but please let me take my class in peace.”
Qi Yuyang furrowed his eyebrows together and walked down two steps, sitting in the seat right in front of her. Then, he turned his head around and stared up at her.
An Luxia sighed in frustration but the professor walked in, so she just let him stare at her for the entire class. Somehow, the professor didn’t notice. Or, he just didn’t bother to say anything about it because it happened too often.
—
Throughout the entire school day, Qi Yuyang practically followed her wherever she went, except for the times when he had different classes.
After school, An Luxia practically ran out of class, hoping that he wouldn’t catch up. However, he was waiting for her right outside the classroom door, and ran after her all the way to the front driveway of the school.
Mo Han’s car hasn’t arrived yet, so An Luxia was forced to wait there.
Qi Yuyang caught up to her, slightly out of breath, “Luxia, if you two aren’t dating, then. . . are you his mistress?! Luxia, you can’t do that!”
An Luxia slammed her palm onto her forehead and shook her head helplessly, deciding that there was no point in trying to explain to him.
Qi Yuyang suddenly gasped as he seemed to remember something, and he took his backpack off, opening it up and pulling out a box of chocolates.
The box was pink and was shaped like a heart.
“I almost forgot. Luxia, I bought this for you. I picked out every chocolate inside it myself.”
An Luxia looked at the chocolate box and furrowed her eyebrows together. She liked chocolates, but she couldn’t give him any hope. However, looking at his genuine smile, no matter how much she was annoyed by him, it still felt a little mean to just reject him.
She heard the sound of a car engine and she looked up to see the familiar black car. She smiled and quickly turned around to look at Qi Yuyang, “Thank you for the chocolates but I’m on a diet.”
She smiled slightly in a fake manner before quickly running away, entering the car and telling the driver to start driving.
After putting on her seatbelt, a box was placed onto her lap.
“What is this?”
Mo Han smiled, “I passed by a dessert shop nearby on my way here and bought some cookies and chocolates for you.”
An Luxia opened the box, revealing a carefully arranged box of sweets and smiled, “Thank you. How did you know I’m hungry?”
She took out a very beautiful pink heart-shaped chocolate and ate it in one bite, feeling the vanilla and rose combination melt inside her mouth.
“I guess our hearts are connected,” Mo Han said, folding his hands together.
An Luxia didn’t reply as she carefully looked through the box and took a bite from a cookie.
“Did you like the lunch I had K bring you today? I was a little busy so I couldn’t come myself.”
An Luxia nodded, “Yes, it was really good. K is. . . a little less attention-attracting than you.”
Mo Han raised one eyebrow, “Is that a good thing?”
An Luxia thought for a few seconds before shrugging, “I don’t know. You coming isn’t bad either.”
There were a few seconds of silence as An Luxia finished eating the cookie. Just as she reached for another chocolate, the silence was suddenly broken.
“Who was that guy earlier?” Mo Han asked, his voice calm but deeper than usual.
An Luxia scratched the back of her head, turning the chocolate around in her hand, “That guy? His name is Qi Yuyang.”
“Oh. . .” Mo Han nodded and didn’t say anything.
—
After returning home, An Luxia went to take a shower and Mo Han entered his office to get some work done.
Mo Han spun around in his chair, clicking the black ballpoint pen in his hand in a rhythmic pattern.
Across from him, K stood with a straight back, looking down at the ground.
Finally, Mo Han stopped spinning and dropped the pen onto the table, which rolled to the very edge of the large desk before coming to a stop.
“K. . .”
“Yes sir!” K immediately looked up, waiting for Mo Han’s order.
“You heard that guy’s name, right?”
K thought for a quick second before nodding. He had been driving the car on their way back from the school, and although he didn’t pay close attention to what Mr. Mo and Mrs. Mo were talking about, he still remembered the person’s name.
“Yes sir.”
Mo Han grinned, “Good. I want his information by tomorrow.”
“Yes sir!”
